O botequim é um estabelecimento que serve comida caseira, em porções generosas e a baixo custo, também servindo petiscos típicos e bebidas, isto num ambiente informal, com arquitetura e decoração típicas. Durante muito tempo teve sua imagem associada ao ócio e ao vício, ao ponto dos proprietários rejeitarem a associação dos seus estabelecimentos ao termo botequim. Esta visão mudou com a recente valorização do termo botequim, através do lançamento de guias como o “Rio Botequim”, “Guia Veja Comer & Beber”, das colunas “Pé-limpo” e “Pé-sujo”, ambas publicadas no caderno “Rio Show” do jornal O Globo, e do concurso “Comida di Buteco”. Apesar de haver em todo território brasileiro 297.000 estabelecimentos semelhantes que ocupam em torno de 1.600.000, não são facilmente encontrados estudos que abordem o botequim de um ponto de vista empresarial. Objeto deste estudo o concurso “Comida di Buteco” foi criado em 2000 e atualmente acontece em 16 cidades de 8 estados brasileiros e conta com mais de 370 estabelecimentos concorrentes. O presente estudo tem por objetivo apresentar de que maneira os organizadores do concurso incentivam através de sua página no Facebook a formação de uma comunidade virtual de marca em torno do concurso e se esta se estende aos botequins participantes. Para a realização deste objetivo esta pesquisa se apoia em um referencial teórico mapeado dentro da literatura disponível sobre: o botequim; o concurso “Comida di Buteco”; marca e a criação de seus significados; comunidade de marca e comunidade virtual de marca. Optou-se por abordar o fenômeno de forma qualitativa usando-se a etnografia como metodologia para a coleta de dados e no tratamento destes aplicou-se a análise de discurso mediado por computador. O resultado da análise é confrontado com o referencial teórico e conclui-se que a organização do concurso “Comida di Buteco” incentiva a formação de uma comunidade virtual de marca em torno do concurso, através da troca de informações e opiniões, da divulgação do concurso e estabelecimentos, do incentivo a autoconsciência de grupo. Não foi possível comprovar se esta comunidade se estende aos estabelecimentos concorrentes, porém verificou-se que estes tiram proveito da divulgação de suas marcas pelo concurso.

The main objective of this study is to apply recently developed methods of physical-statistic to time series analysis, particularly in electrical induction s profiles of oil wells data, to study the petrophysical similarity of those wells in a spatial distribution. For this, we used the DFA method in order to know if we can or not use this technique to characterize spatially the fields. After obtain the DFA values for all wells, we applied clustering analysis. To do these tests we used the non-hierarchical method called K-means. Usually based on the Euclidean distance, the K-means consists in dividing the elements of a data matrix N in k groups, so that the similarities among elements belonging to different groups are the smallest possible. In order to test if a dataset generated by the K-means method or randomly generated datasets form spatial patterns, we created the parameter Ω (index of neighborhood). High values of Ω reveals more aggregated data and low values of Ω show scattered data or data without spatial correlation. Thus we concluded that data from the DFA of 54 wells are grouped and can be used to characterize spatial fields. Applying contour level technique we confirm the results obtained by the K-means, confirming that DFA is effective to perform spatial analysis

O presente artigo discute a relevância de algumas estratégias metodológicas da Análise Aplicada do Comportamento para examinar práticas educativas parentais. Um instrumento e um conceito relacionados à coleta e análise de dados são discutidos sob a ótica teórica e aplicada: relatos verbais e análise funcional comportamental descritiva. Conclui-se que, consideradas as limitações dos relatos, as informações obtidas com essa estratégia e com a análise funcional comportamental descritiva permitem inferir algumas hipóteses sobre os comportamentos de pais e de filhos que podem ser utilizadas em ações que procuram investigar e intervir sobre os comportamentos problema e as habilidades sociais.

First graders, preschoolers, special education students, and adults received a reading program in which they learned to match printed to dictated words and to construct (copy) printed words. The students not only learned to match the training words but also learned to read them. In addition, most of the students learned to read new words that involved recombinations of the syllables of the training words. The results replicate and extend the generality of a prior analysis of a reading program based on stimulus equivalence and recombination of units.

In potentiometric-flow systems, linear-potential responses for logarithmic concentrations can be attained for first-(or pseudo-first-) order reactions in which the monitored chemical species react with the analyte during a fixed time interval. To demonstrate this property, the determination of glycerol based on its oxidation by periodate and potentiometric monitoring of the remaining periodate was selected. Influence of reagent concentration and timing on the linearity of the analytical curve were investigated. A mathematical treatment was derived, and potentialities/limitations of the approach were outlined. The system was applied to analysis of soap and lixivia samples. The analytical curve within 200 and 2000 mg L-1 (r = 0.99975; n = 5) was described as E = 8.166 + 0.0478 (glycerol). The sample throughput was 100 h(-1), and a measurement repeatability within 0.5 mV was always observed. By applying a t-test, there was no statistical difference between the results obtained by the proposed procedure and by iodimetric titration at the 95% confidence level. A sensor based on graphite electrode modified with palladium-platinum-palladium film is proposed for phosphite determination by flow-injection amperometry. The modified electrode was prepared by a sequential cathodic deposition of Pd, Pt and Pd on a graphite electrode from 0.5% m/v PdCl2 + 28% m/v NH4OH and 2% m/v H2PtCl6 + 10% v/v H2SO4 solutions. After suitable conditioning, the electrode showed catalytic activity for phosphite oxidation when 0. 15 V was applied. The proposed system handles approximately 50 samples per hour (0.0.1 - 0.05 mol L-1 Na-2 HPO3; R-2 = 0.9997), consuming ca. 70 mu L of sample per determination. The limit of detection and amperometric sensibility were 5 X 10(-4) mol L-1 and 1.5 mA L mol(-1), respectively. The proposed method was applied to analysis of fertilizer samples without pre-treatment. Results are in agreement with those obtained by spectrophotometry and titrimetry at 95% confidence level and good recoveries (96-109%) of spiked samples were found. Relative standard deviation (n=12) of a 0.01 mol L-1 Na2HPO3 sample was 2%. The useful lifetime of modified electrode was around 220 determinations. For routine purposes it means that this electrode can be continuously used for 5 hours.

A simple analytical method for quantification of atenolol in pharmaceutical formulations by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy is described. The method is based on the reaction, on the filter paper surface, between the drug and p-chloranil producing a colored compound. The best reaction conditions were obtained with 20 μL of atenolol solution and 20 μL of p-chloranil. All reflectance measurements were carried out at 550 nm and the linear range was from 1.13×10-2 to 7.88×10-2 mol L-1 (r = 0.9992). The limit of detection was 2.80 × 10-3 mol L-1. The proposed method was successfully applied to analysis of different commercial brands of pharmaceutical formulations and the results obtained by the proposed method were in good agreement with those obtained using the British Pharmacopoeia method.
