Declaración sobre la crisis económica global y su impacto en las compras consorciadas (14 de junio de 2010)

Redactada en nombre de los muchos consorcios de bibliotecas de todo el mundo que participan en ICOLC, esta declaración tiene dos propósitos. Tiene la intención de ayudar a los editores y otros proveedores de contenido con los cuales tenemos acceso a los recursos de información electrónica (de ahora en adelante simplemente llamados editores) a entender mejor cómo la actual crisis económica única afecta a la comunidad de la información de todo el mundo. El segundo propósito es sugerir un abanico de propuestas que creemos son de beneficio común para las bibliotecas y los proveedores de servicios de información.

La crisis del drama en la contemporaneidad: Attempts on her life de Martin Crimp

Attempts on her life es una obra que desafía la posibilidad de su propia representación. El tratamiento del personaje; la ausencia de diálogo strictu sensu; una acción que se desarrolla en el relato de los locutores; espacio y tiempo que no acaban de definirse sino en el hic et nunc del espectáculo: todo esto convierte la obra de Crimp en parámetro ideal para detectar el estado de la llamada crisis del drama en la contemporaneidad. Este trabajo quiere centrarse en la relevancia que las características formales y de contenido de la obra cobran dentro del ámbito dramatúrgico y filosófico contemporáneos

“Identidad en crisis y estética de la fragmentariedad en la novela de Roberto Bolaño”

Este trabajo analiza las formas que adopta la crisis de la identidad, elemento esencial de la literatura posmoderna, en las principales novelas de Roberto Bolaño (La literatura nazi en América, Estrella distante, Los detectives salvajes, Amuleto, Nocturno de Chile y 2666), tanto a nivel temático como estructural. Dicha crisis se convierte en el eje vertebrador de motivos como el doble, el viaje o la locura, y de una concepción novelística que cuestiona sus propios mecanismos, dando lugar a una “estética de la fragmentariedad”, a relatos polifónicos y múltiples que a partir de las simetrías se integran en una estructura globalizadora.

Modelling Interbank Relations during the International Financial Crisis

This paper examines the effects of the current financial crisis on the correlations of four international banking stocks. We find that in the beginning of the crisis banks generally show a transition to a higher correlation followed by a dramatic decline towards the end of 2008. These findings are consistent with both traditional contagion theory and the more recent network theory of contagion. Food Security on the island of Ireland: are we sleep walking into a crisis?

IPH has developed a discussion paper on food security on the island. This makes the case that health is and needs to be central to food and agricultural policy. Population health, food systems and agricultural production are intimately linked.  A clear framework on food security is needed in both parts of the island of Ireland and this offers a key opportunity for cooperation. This article has been published in the latest edition of The Journal of Cross Border Studies in Ireland - No 6 launched on 8 March 2011.

Efficacité a court et moyen termes des traitements d'urgence-crise pour couples et families: résultats et perspectives [Short and medium-term effectiveness of the emergency-crisis treatments for couples and families: results and perspectives].

From 2007 to 2010, the emergency-crisis unit of the Couple and Family Consultation Unit -UCCF (West Psychiatric Service, Prangins Psychiatric Hospital, Psychiatric Department of CHUV) has carried out a research about the relevance and usefulness of emergency-crisis, systemic-oriented treatments, for deeply distressed couples and families. Besides epidemiologic data, we present results demonstrating the efficiency of those treatments, both at short-term and at a one year's range. The global impact of such treatments in terms of public health, but also economical issues, make us believe that they should be fully included in the new trend of psychiatric ambulatory care, into the social net.

Crisis matrimoniales y su prevención

Les crisis sobrevenen en tota unió matrimonial. És necessari diferenciar entre crisis funcionals o fisiològiques i crisi patològiques. Les primeres son pròpies de la vida conjugal i es produiran a qualsevol matrimoni, formant part de la seva evolució madurativa, i les segones només tindran lloc en alguns matrimonis causant problemes més greus. Ambdues crisis requereixen d’estratègies de resolució de problemes, perquè el cònjuges puguin superar-les conjuntament, encara que en las segones habitualment es necessari d’intervenció terapèutica per poder-les superar. A través d’aquest treball es pretén explicar les crisis matrimonials i la seva prevenció.

Being Recognizable in Order to Overcome the Crisis: The Ambivalence of Islamis Actor's Struggle for Visibility in France and Switzerland

Since the 1990s, and especially since the early 2000s, passionate controversies (Göle 2014) have emerged around the new visibility of Islam in the public sphere across Europe. These controversies, which crystallized in the headscarf debate, seem even more disturbing given that women who wear it are often young, urban and educated: that is to say, "modern" (Göle 1997, 2011). Indeed, these young women wearing the hijab seem to disrupt the narrative of Western modernity, including the decline in religious practice (Hervieu-Léger 2006) or the narration of the process of secularization in Europe. It is in the context of these controversies that Islam is built imaginatively as a "public problem" that has to be "solved" (Behloul 2012). Thus, this social construction of the Muslim other has nurtured an assessment of the failure of multiculturalism in some European countries and a process of convergence around a single model of civic integration in Europe (Behloul 2012, Joppke 2004, 2010).

HSE Crisis Pregnancy Programme annual report 2010.

January 2010 saw the former Crisis Pregnancy Agencyâ?Ts integration into the Health Service Executive to become the HSE Crisis Pregnancy Programme. For most of 2010, the Programme was located in Children and Family Social Services Care Group in the Integrated Services Directorate and reported to Assistant National Director for Children and Family Social Services. The Programme commenced the process of forging links and relationships within the wider HSE and with services which support and add value to the work of the Programme. The Programme also made efforts to identify areas where it could share its expertise in the areas of crisis pregnancy and sexual health. In the latter part of 2010, the Programme was moved to Public Health with the aim of improving the alignment of the Programme to achieve better integration and create more opportunity to synchronise approaches with other related parts of the health service and to work more effectively at long term integration and planning 2012 - 2016.This resource was contributed by The National Documentation Centre on Drug Use.
