Through awareness of new trends of consumption of the population with regard to housing, comfort, entertainment, security and sustainability, it was crafted a work that set out to study and develop the concept of home automation and how it will revolutionize the electrical installation projects and energy savings. A pre-wiring project, taking into account, basically, the installed load, is presented as a basis for comparison. The protocols for communication between intelligent devices in an automation environment, used in the work, are the X-10, LonWorks and UPnP. The home network is studied and divided into subsystems, for a better understanding, which are the lighting, audio, video and multimedia system, security, air conditioning and central vacuum system, and the idea of integrated design and system integrator is introduced, showing the change necessity in the design philosophy of electrical installations. The main means of energy savings in an automated home, such as dimerization, master off and smart meters are presented and, finally, it was concluded that there is a need to structure electrical installation projects more comprehensive with regard to home automation, in order to become more efficient and useful to users

Nuclear medicine is a medical specialty related to imagery that deals with imaging techniques, diagnosis and therapy, allowing observing the physiological state of tissues noninvasively by marking the molecules participating of these physiological processes with radioactive isotopes, thus creating the called radionuclides. The image of a radionuclide is one of the most important applications of radioactivity in nuclear medicine. The equipment’s of nuclear medicine imaging use the principle of radiation detection, turning it into an electrical signal which, through specific algorithms, allows forming tomographic images that provide information about the functional status of organs. New detection systems have been developed for tomographic acquisitions using solid state detectors. These devices use crystals of cadmium zinc telluride (CdZnTe). Some of the advantages of this detector are a significant improvement of signal to noise ratio, the increased spectral and spatial resolution, which in sum, result in greater clarity of the images obtained, opening new perspectives for imaging protocols previously unattainable. In contrast, all other gamma-cameras equipped with vacuum tubes have remained relatively unchanged for nearly fifty years. In these gamma-cameras, the images are obtained using two steps significantly less efficient: the gamma rays are converted to light through a first device, and then the light is converted into an electrical signal through a second device. One of functions the Medical Physicist is related to the quality control of equipment. This control ensures that the information and images provided are true and thus credible to be used in medical reports. The expressive possibilities within the field of surface design come up with increasingly larger with the emergence of technologies that allow the construction of forms and structures of high complexity such as three-dimensional printing. Establishing a relationship between design and complex systems, this work seeks to address the significant interrelationship of new paradigms of science, designed from concepts such as chaos, complexity and self-organization along with the cyber and parametric design, assuming thus the consequent impact of these in the creation and construction of process surfaces. Starting from the investigation of the applicability of the aforementioned conceptual bases, will be exemplified prospects of surface, produced in the first instance through computer interfaces, assigning the emergence of new creative processes and technology. Furthermore, elucidating biomimetics and its importance in the design of the design as a means of inspiration in complex systems of nature.

El artículo analiza la relevancia de estudiar la historia, la configuración y el rol que ha tenido el Estado en Brasil. El concepto de paradigma de Estado, que implica una nueva interpretación de la forma que adopta la economía y la sociedad con sus intereses, el patrón de inserción internacional y la formación nacional de cada etapa, es una herramienta conceptual propuesta por Amado Cervo, para comprender la interacción entre los factores internacionales y los condicionantes domésticos. Este autor sostiene la existencia de cuatro paradigmas: el liberal conservador, el desarrollista, el normal y el logístico.

Este trabajo se enmarca en el área de interacción hombre-máquina y los diferentes paradigmas que existe actualmente. Serevisan antecedentes y posibilidades vinculadas a la educación especial. Comocaso de estudio, se presenta una propuesta de adaptación al software educativo JClic, mediante la utilización de comandos por voz, con el objetivo de ser utilizado por usuarios/alumnos con deficiencia motriz sin consecuencias o con consecuencias leves en el desarrollo del lenguaje. Como parte de esta propuesta de adaptación, se estudiaron diferentes motores de reconocimiento de voz (RV), y se profundizó el análisis del motor de RV Sphinx-4. Se presenta aquí parte de este trabajo realizado y los resultados y conclusiones obtenidas, luego de la evaluación del prototipo.
