Fuel cells are considered one of the most promising ways of converting electrical energy due to its high yield and by using hydrogen (as fuel) which is considered one of the most important source of clean energy for the future. Rare earths doped ceria has been widely investigated as an alternative material for the electrolyte of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) due to its high ionic conductivity at low operating temperatures compared with the traditional electrolytes based on stabilized zirconia. This work investigates the effect of gallium oxide (Gallia) as a sintering aid in Eu doped ceria ceramic electrolytes since this effect has already been investigated for Gd, Sm and Y doped ceria electrolytes. The desired goal with the use of a sintering aid is to reduce the sintering temperature aiming to produce dense ceramics. In this study we investigated the effects on densification, microstructure and ionic conduction caused by different molar fraction of the dopants europium (10, 15 and 20%) and gallium oxide (0.3, 0.6 and 0.9%) in samples sintered at 1300, 1350 and 1450 0 C. Samaria (10 and 20%) doped ceria samples sintered between 1350 and 1450 °C were used as reference. Samples were synthesized using the cation complexation method. The ceramics powders were characterized by XRF, XRD and SEM, while the sintered samples were investigated by its relative density, SEM and impedance spectroscopy. It was showed that gallia contents up to 0.6% act as excellent sintering aids in Eu doped ceria. Above this aid content, gallia addition does not promote significant increase in density of the ceramics. In Ga free samples the larger densification were accomplished with Eu 15% molar, effect expressed in the microstructure with higher grain growth although reduced and surrounded by many open pores. Relative densities greater than 95 % were obtained by sintering between 1300 and 1350 °C against the usual range 1500 - 1600 0 C. Samples containing 10% of Sm and 0.9% of Ga reached 96% of theoretical density by sintering at 1350 0 C for 3h, a gain compared to 97% achieved with 20% of Sm and 1% of Ga co-doped cerias sintered at 1450 0 C for 24 h as described in the literature. It is found that the addition of gallia in the Eu doped ceria has a positive effect on the grain conductivity and a negative one in the grain boundary conductivity resulting in a small decrease in the total conductivity which will not compromise its application as sintering aids in ceria based electrolytes. Typical total conductivity values at 600 and 700 °C, around 10 and 30 mS.cm -1 respectively were reached in this study. Samples with 15% of Eu and 0.9 % of Ga sintered at 1300 and 1350 °C showed relative densities greater than 96% and total conductivity (measured at 700 °C) between 20 and 33 mS.cm -1 . The simultaneous sintering of the electrolyte with the anode is one of the goals of research in materials for SOFCs. The results obtained in this study suggest that dense Eu and Ga co-doped ceria electrolytes with good ionic conductivity can be sintered simultaneously with the anode at temperatures below 1350 °C, the usual temperature for firing porous anode materials

It is analyzed through the concepts of tribology and mechanical contact and damage the suggestion of implementing a backup system for traction and passage of Pipeline Inspection Gauge (Pig) from the inside of pipelines. In order to verify the integrity of the pipelines, it is suggested the possibility of displacement of such equipment by pulling wires with steel wires. The physical and mechanical characteristics of this method were verified by accelerated tests in the laboratory in a tribological pair, wire versus a curve 90. It also considered the main mechanisms of wear of a sliding system with and without lubricant, in the absence and presence of contaminants. To try this, It was constructed a test bench able to reproduce a slip system, work on mode back-and-forth ("reciprocation"). It was used two kinds of wires, a galvanized steel and other stainless steel and the results achieved using the two kinds of steel cables were compared. For result comparative means, it was used steel cables with and without coating of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC). The wires and the curves of the products were characterized using metallographic analysis, microhardness Vickers tests, X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Refraction (XRF) and tensile tests. After the experiments were analyzed some parameters that have been measurable, it demonstrates to the impracticality of this proposed method, since the friction force and the concept of alternating request at the contact between the strands of wire and the inner curves that are part ducts caused severe wear. These types of wear are likely to cause possible failures in future products and cause fluid leaks

Apesar dos avanços tecnológicos alcançados no manejo de criação de búfalos e de técnicas de melhoramento genético, pouco se utilizam na prática para búfalos criados de forma extensiva. O desenvolvimento de protocolos de sincronização, que diminuam o estresse de contenção e reduzem os custos, contribuirá para o incremento da utilização da IATF nos rebanhos bubalinos. O experimento objetivou avaliar um método de sincronização e IATF econômico e pratico compatível ao tipo de criação extensiva. O experimento foi realizado em três fazendas distintas, duas em uma região de várzea, no Estado do Amapá (Local 1 e 2) conduzido na estação reprodutiva favorável. O terceiro no estado do Pará em pastagem cultivada de terra firme. Foram utilizadas 208 búfalas lactantes mestiças mediterrâneo/murrah com idades variadas de 2,5 a 10 anos com histórico de período pós parto ≥ 60 dias. As matrizes que portavam um corpo lúteo foi aplicado 2.0 ml Intra-Muscular de prostaglandina (PGF2α) (150μg/D-cloprostenol) no Dia 0 = D0. Setenta duas horas depois (Dia 3 = D3), foram realizados exame ginecológico para verificar a presença de muco e contratilidade uterina, e posterior inseminação e aplicação de 1.0 ml (100μg) IM de GnRH, com sêmen, de diferentes reprodutores. O diagnóstico de prenhez foi realizado entre 45 a 90 dias, através da palpação retal. O CL-Synch proporcionou uma taxa de prenhez media de 42,79%. Houve efeito significativo das variáveis: presença de contratilidade uterina (χ²= 10.9891; P= 0.0009), muco (χ²= 10.9891; P= 0.0009) e a condição corporal, (χ²= 20.2247; P= 0.0005). A presença do tônus uterino e do muco uterino mostraram-se como excelentes sinais indicativos de uma resposta de crescimento e diferenciação folicular e ovulação à estimulação hormonal. A relação reprodutor e taxa de prenhez não foi estatisticamente significativo (P=0,1684), sugerindo a uniformidade na qualidade do sêmen congelado proveniente da mesma central. Concluí-se que o CL-synch é promissor e suas vantagens se concentram no manejo de contenção das fêmeas e o baixo custo, pois possibilita a contenção somente duas vezes, quando comparado aos demais protocolos que necessitam de contenção de quatro vezes ou mais, diminuindo consideravelmente o estresse.

There search was executed from literature review about concept associated with geological dangers theme and the typology and characteristics of gravitational mass movements. We analyzed particularly the so-called methods of mapping danger tradicional/classic and alternative. It is believed, that integrating the work of specialists with the participation of involvedagents (local community and stake holders). This literature review and proposed work do noted in itself. You need the continuing advance in the discussion, debates and research on this topic as well as public policies that act on problems identified more concretely

Fabrication of optoelectronic devices requires the employment of at least one transparent electrode. Usually, commercially transparent electrodes have been made by deposition of indium tin oxide (ITO) films by RF-Sputtering technique. These commercial electrodes have sheet resistance of about 100 Ω/sq and optical transmittance of 77% at the wavelength of 550 nm. The poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene-sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) is an alternative material to fabricate transparent electrodes due to its high conductivity (about 600 S/cm) and solubility in water. Soluble conductive materials exhibits advantages for processing of electrode layers, however there is a disadvantage during devices fabrication once materials with the same solvent of the electrode material cannot be coated one over the other. Alternatively, organic/Silica hybrid materials prepared by sol-gel process allow producing bulks and films with high chemical durability. In order to obtain transparent electrodes with high chemical durability, we introduced a blended material comprising the high UV-VIS transparency of organic/Silica sol-gel material and a high conductivity polymer PEDOT:PSS. The organic/Silica sol was obtained using two different molar concentrations (1:1 and 4:1), of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) and 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTS). Amounts of PEDOT:PSS solutions were added to the sol material, resulting in different weight fractions of sol and polymer. G:T/P:P were deposit onto glass substrates by spray-coating. In order to perform electrical characterization of the blended material, gold electrodes were thermally evaporated onto the films. Um dos grandes desafios enfrentados pelos fabricantes de turbinas hidráulicas é prevenir o aparecimento de vibrações induzidas pelo escoamento nas travessas do pré-distribuidor e pás do rotor. Considerando apenas as travessas, e atribuídos a tais vibrações, foram relatados 28 casos de trincas ou ruídos anormais nas últimas décadas, que acarretaram enormes prejuízos associados a reparos, atrasos e perda de geração. O estado da arte na prevenção destes problemas baseia-se na utilização de sofisticados, e caros, programas comerciais de dinâmica dos fluidos computacional para o cálculo transiente do fenômeno. Este trabalho faz uma ampla revisão bibliográfica e levantamento de eventos de trincas ou ruídos ocorridos em travessas nos últimos 50 anos. Propõe, então, um enfoque alternativo, baseado exclusivamente em ferramentas de código aberto. A partir de hipóteses simplificadoras devidamente justificadas, o problema é formulado matematicamente de forma bidimensional, no plano da seção transversal da travessa, levando em conta a interação fluido-estrutura. Nesta estratégia, as equações de Navier-Stokes são resolvidas pelo método dos elementos finitos por meio da biblioteca gratuita oomph-lib. Um código especial em C++ é desenvolvido para o problema de interação fluido-estrutura, no qual o fenômeno de turbulência é levado em consideração por meio de um algoritmo baseado no modelo de Baldwin-Lomax. O método proposto é validado por meio da comparação dos resultados obtidos com referências e medições disponíveis na literatura, que tratam de problemas de barras retangulares suportadas elasticamente. O trabalho finaliza com a aplicação do método a um estudo de caso envolvendo uma travessa particular.

The strong presence of the communication and information technologies (TICs) forced the productive routine of some media vehicles to go through significant changes. The same happened to the alternative agencies segment. Having a scarce literature and sources about this subject, this study’s objective is to understand how the Information Agency Frei Tito for Latin America (Adital) develops its proposal of alternative journalism, within the cyberspace, while aiming a Christian communication. For this finality, the study will describe and explain the practices of journalistic production, identifying the subjects involved and the relations maintained between them in this productive routine. Also, it will trace who and where these content replicators are and/or their online address. At first, it was presented a theoretical discussion about the concepts of “counter-hegemony”, alternative journalism and communicative citizenship, what brings us to the studies of Gramsci (2010), Peruzzo (2011), Moraes (2013), Paiva (2008), Coutinho (2008), Mata (2006), among other authors. Next, it will be approached briefly the historical path of the information agencies around the world and in Latin America, so that the study can focus on authors like Aguiar (2009), Pasti (2013) and Moraes (2010). This piece will draught a “methodologic route” for a qualitative approach with an exploratory and descriptive character. We gave up the etnometodological methods, what allow us to analyze the etnomethods or behavioral groups of action, procedures, activities and knowledge that constitutes these groups, giving them recognition and distinction. (COULON, 1995). To achieve the defined objectives, it was also used a bibliographical and documental research techniques, in addition to subject observation and semi-structured interviews. Finally, we analyze the collected data taking into consideration three pivots: the beginning of Adital; the practices, characteristics and subjects involved in the productive routine of the agency; and who are and where are these content replicators of content produced and transmitted by Adital. We can conclude that the production routine of an alternative agency and the counter-hegemonic of information is marked by some singularities regarding to the organization of the journalistic practice and to the obstacles found on the way. Our data allows us, even if there are still some doubts, to believe that Adital is a sort of independent information agency, alternative and counter-hegemonic, ergo, more close to a proposition of communicative citizenship.

El análisis de datos ha cambiado muchísimo en estos últimos años con la inclusión de ciertas técnicas que en general son muy sencillas y poco conocidas por ejemplo los diagramas de tallos y hojas o los diagramas de cajas y bigotes, estos últimos ya incorporados en algunas calculadoras gráficas. La recta de Tukey, o mejor conocida como el método de Mediana-Mediana, que figura en el currículo de Matemáticas IV, del tronco común de los programas actuales del Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades, permite ajustar una recta a una nube de puntos en algunos casos en los que el ajuste mínimo cuadrático produce resultados no muy buenos. Por eso, nos ha parecido que podría tener cierto interés el conocer esta técnica desarrolladas por el matemático americano John Wilder Tukey. La recta de Tukey o Mediana-Mediana es un método novedoso y práctico que puede venir a apoyar a otro que tradicionalmente se ha empleado en el ajuste de curvas, a nivel bachillerato, el de mínimos cuadrados. En el presente trabajo presentamos las bondades prácticas de este método ingenioso que no requiere de un fundamento matemático demasiado abstracto en su tratamiento, y por lo cual se puede emplear en el cuarto semestre del tronco común de los programas vigentes del Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades.

Resumen: La forma sistemática del pensar creyente fue objeto de importantes debates durante la realización del Vaticano II, particularmente por la novedad que presentaba la introducción de un método inductivo en la enseñanza de la Iglesia. Se advirtió que allí se incluía una reflexión de largo alcance sobre la autocomprensión de la Iglesia y, de este modo, un debate neurálgico para el objetivo del Concilio. Dicho método, cuestionado posteriormente, ha tenido particular relevancia en el posconcilio latinoamericano. Está en juego la posibilidad de que la Iglesia, la fe y la teología sean menos impermeables a las inquietudes que emergen de las complejas experiencias biográficas y al clamor que brota desde el mundo del sufrimiento y de los pobres.
