Rádio Comunitária de Heliópolis: da criação à regularização, entre ruídos e sintonias - 1997-2008

A autora apresenta uma análise histórica da mobilização e da articulação, sobretudo políticas, envolvidas no processo de regularização e na trajetória da Rádio Comunitária de Heliópolis, uma das maiores favelas da cidade de São Paulo. O estudo é acompanhado por uma reflexão, também de fundo histórico e político, sobre os projetos, debates e ações voltados à democratização da comunicação social eletrônica no país, fortalecidos a partir da segunda metade dos anos 1980, e das políticas oficiais para o setor. O livro traz ainda questionamentos sobre a necessidade de as entidades populares ligadas a rádios comunitárias se atrelarem a organismos partidários ou entidades civis organizadas próximas ao poder público, de modo a tornar mais ágeis, ou mesmo viabilizar, os processos de regularização de emissoras do gênero. Esta prática, bastante comum, teria o dom de muitas vezes desvirtuar o projeto original das rádios comunitárias, ou mesmo de deturpá-las totalmente. O trabalho avalia ainda historicamente as tentativas de comunidades, quase sempre localizadas nas periferias urbanas, sem conhecimentos técnicos específicos e noções sobre os meandros da legislação comunicacional, de se articularem minimamente para romper os entraves políticos e econômicos que, em geral, estão presentes nos processos de criação e consolidação das rádios comunitárias

O câncer e as alterações no estado nutricional do paciente: importância da atenção farmacêutica

O Câncer é uma doença epidêmica e multifatorial. O uso combinado ou não de cirurgia, radioterapia e quimioterapia formam o alicerce sobre o qual se assentam a quase totalidade dos tratamentos contra os mais variados tipos de câncer. Essas terapêuticas quase sempre são agressivas, o que leva a uma ameaça séria à integridade física, sabidamente associada a problemas nutricionais. Pela legislação RDC nº220, publicada pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA) em 21 de setembro de 2004, que regulamenta os estabelecimentos públicos e privados do país que realizam tratamento de quimioterapia antineoplásica, o farmacêutico deve fazer parte da equipe multiprofissional em terapia antineoplásica, como responsável pela manipulação de todos os antineoplásicos. Levando isso em consideração, o trabalho realiza uma descrição geral desde o desenvolvimento da doença, passando pelos principais agentes causadores e destaca a importância da terapia nutricional, principalmente no período pós-tratamento que influencia diretamente na morbi-mortalidade do câncer. Associando conhecimentos interdisciplinares entendemos que o farmacêutico possa exercer além da manipulação de drogas, a atenção farmacêutica contribuindo positivamente na equipe de saúde, visando uma maior adesão ao tratamento além do aumento da qualidade de vida do paciente oncológico. A partir do levantamento bibliográfico apresentado ampliamos a compreensão da complexidade dos mecanismos da doença, a importância da Terapia Nutricional e o Papel que o profissional farmacêutico pode desempenhar nesse campo

Personagens e espaço em romances de Aluísio Azevedo

The characters of O mulato, Casa de pensão and O cortiço, well written books by the writer Aluísio Azevedo, may be considered predominantly flat, for they were built with a single or few features. This kind of character can be even defined by the type, which represents certain dominant features (professional, psychological, cultural, economic, religious, etc.) from the diegetic universe in which the action takes place. This character subcategory is present in certain artistic periods such as Realism and Naturalism, and can be understood as the main character between the individual and the collective, between the concrete and the abstract. Yet, the social space, in the novels of the above mentioned literary movements configures itself, especially in terms of the presence and types of extras: it is about describing environments that illustrate, almost always, in a historical period context of critical intent, vices and deformations of the society, as we can see depicted in the three novels of the author. In turn, the narrative categories that most decisively influence the space representation are the instance (the narrator) and the narrative perspective (focusing). In the case of O mulato, Casa de pensão and O cortiço, the dominance is in choosing the omniscient narrator, who prefers a panoramic view, limited to an exterior and strictly objective description. The survey was developed through readings, literary cataloging and corpus discussions, with a theoretical basis determined by three dimensions: a) critical essays about the author and his works, such as those by Jean-Yves Mérian, Aluísio Azevedo, vida e obra: (1857-1913) and parts of the literature histories which deal with Naturalism, such as those by Alfredo Bosi, História concisa da literatura brasileira, b) theoretical studies about the novel character, such as those by Antonio Candido, A personagem do romance, and the romantic space ...

Avaliação do impacto do material didático proposto pela Secretaria de Ensino do estado de São Paulo para a disciplina de Educação Física

No ano de 2008, a Secretaria do Estado de São Paulo propôs para todas as escolas estaduais o uso do material didático para todas as disciplinas, inclusive para a educação física, com proposta de atividade para o Ensino Fundamental e o Ensino Médio. Nas aulas de educação física encontram-se professores rola bola, que oferecem a bola aos alunos e não se preocupam com qualquer tipo de intervenção. Também, encontrams-se professores que procuram ampliar os conhecimentos dos alunos, aprofundando os conteúdos de educação física. Com base nisso, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o impacto do material didático na opinião dos professores do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Para tanto, foram realizadas entrevistas com cinco professores, que utilizam o material didático proposto pela Secretaria do Estado de São Paulo. Após a análise dos dados, verificou-se que os professores apresentam a mesma opinião no que diz respeito ao que se deve mudar no material didático; dois professores acreditam que é possível aplicar o material na íntegra. Alguns professores afirmaram que às vezes é necessária a ajuda dos alunos na realização de algumas atividades. Outros concordam que o material chega quase sempre atrasado e isso prejudica o planejamento, atrasando o desenvolvimento dos conteúdos.

Avaliação da viabilidade econômica da implantação de uma usina de triagem e compostagem na cidade de Rio Claro-SP

The question of the solid waste is without a doubt one of the biggest problems faced for the world-wide population in the present time, resulting in the call “collapse of the garbage”. In this direction that appears the composting, in the scope of the treatment of organic waste origin, that in Brazil, approximately correspond 50% of the generated volume. However, the rare plants of selection and composting (UTC) existing at least do not obtain auto-to support themselves, increasing to each day the number of deactivations, almost always related the financial questions. In this direction, the present research brings the analysis of the economic viability of the implantation of a UTC for the city of Rio Claro-SP, relating it with the thick organic composition sales, for the cultures of vegetables cultivated in a ray of 30 km of the study area. For in such a way, they had been carried through, calculations concerning the regional demand for organic composition, and the verification of the implantation costs and operation of the plant. The reached results had been the flow of box for the first year of functioning of the UTC, as well as the break-even point between the gotten expenditures and prescriptions. From this relation investment profitability, it was verified that the UTC is presented impracticable under the economic point of view.

Acupuntura na abordagem da Síndrome da Cauda Equina em pequenos animais Trabalho

Nowadays, in any area that acts within the veterinary medicine, we talk a lot of specialists. Specialists in neurology, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, finally, more specialized in a subject, better is the veterinarian. However, on one hand to deepen the knowledge helped in the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments, secondly, a bit lost sight of the patient as a whole. Traditional Chinese medicine, one of whose branches is acupuncture, is aimed at exactly this approach to be fully alive, where all body is interconnected and the disease is not seen as the imbalance of one system, but, as the imbalance between our being and the environment external. Acupuncture is an alternative in the treatment of many diseases, among them Cauda Equina Syndrome, and consists of stimulating specific points on the body surface, which help the body return to its natural harmony. A Cauda Equina Syndrome is a frame subsequent to a neuromuscular spinal cord at the level of the spinal canal of the lower lumbar spine and sacral, whose treatment is almost always surgical. This study aims to show the relevance of acupuncture treatment in this condition and report the importance of the philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine nowadays, even when their arms are not in the treatment of choice

Presença de fatores de risco dependentes ou não de esforço físico em praticantes de corrida de rua

In order to reduce the sedentarism and to improve population's health condition, many physical activity incentive programs have been stimulated. As a result, many people have adhered to street racing, but their health condition is almost always ignored. The aim of this study was to evaluate street racers' health condition, identifying the presence of cardiovascular risk factors as well as problems associated to street racing. The study case was composed by 111 racers from the town of Bauru (94 men and 17 women) aged in average 39±13 years old, who were evaluated in 4 street race competitions. The subjects answered to an anamnesis with questions about their socioeconomic status, medicine use, cardiovascular risk, physical exercise practices, and issues related to racing and injury. Weight (kg) and height (m) were measured to calculate the body mass index (BMI, kg/m²) as well as systolic and diastolic blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), abdominal circumference (AC), and flexibility. It could be observed that the majority of racers were Caucasian, married and belonged to social classes over C. The prevalent age was between 18 and 35 years old (42%). Among the participants, 38.7% have already undergone some kind of surgery and 13% declared having some health problem. The questionnaire pointed out that 36% had low and moderate cardiovascular risk. It could be noticed from the AC that 10% of men and 18% of women had high cardiac risk. Among the tested, 43.2% (24.3% altered and 18.9% borderline) showed high BP on the day of the test, but only 2.7% had self-declared hypertensive. In relation to injury, 36% had already had lesions of some kind, 27.5% of which had occurred in the last 8 months. 66.6% had derived from training or racing competitions and the knee was the mostly affected body part. Condições de saúde de pacientes do gênero feminino com dependência química

This study evaluated the general and oral health conditions of female patients included in a program for recovering drug addiction and patients who did not use drugs. By means of anamnesis and medical history, as well as medical and dental assessments, the health conditions of 160 patients were assessed; 80 presented drug dependence and 80 do not use drugs. The most frequently used drugs were tobacco, alcohol, and crack, usually in associations. The patients presenting chemical dependence had increased frequency of behavioral changes, as well as several diseases involving the immune and cardiovascular systems, detaching infectious and inflammatory reactions and delay in the process of tissue repair. In the oral cavity, it was verified a high occurrence of periodontitis and gingivitis. Chemical dependence showed to be associated to a high frequency of infections, arthritis, hypertension and behavioral changes, which normally would not be noted by health professionals, but that could compromise the results of medical and dental treatments.

We provide conservative translations from propositional modal logic KT (the simplest normal alethic logic) into propositional modal logic KD (the simplest normal deontic logic), and from this into the propositional modal logic K (the simplest normal logic simpliciter). Following an idea discussed by Jaakko Hintikka, these conservative translations are based on the third formulation of Kantian categorical imperative, the formulation of the Kingdom of Ends.
