Web Service para geração de VRS no contexto de posicionamento GPS

Internet is fully inserted in contemporary society, specially in relation to entertainment services and trading. Its reach has transposed the traditional desktop computer models coming to mobile devices like cell phones and GPS receivers. Likewise, the scientific community takes its benefits, both for publication of studies and for communication between clusters processing information, such as at LHC, located in Switzerland. Concerning geodetic positioning, researches in the area present the concept of Virtual Reference Stations - VRS, in which is necessary a communication way between the real reference stations and a central system as well as between central system and a service requester. In this work, we analyze the current solutions for generation of VRS with regard to data delivery for the service requester and present a solution based on Web Services as an alternative to the model being developed by Spatial Geodesy Study Group – GEGE/FCT/UNESP. Comparing solutions, it was verified the potential of Web Services to aid in researches of geodetic positioning using VRS. Using such technology, it is obtained interoperability, providing greater flexibility to develop client applications, both development carried out by researchers of the university or by any person or enterprise wishing to use the service

Reconstrução paleogeográfica da área da bacia do rio Jequitaí - MG

Os solos, assim como as rochas, materiais inconsolidados e regolíticos, apresentam propriedades e características específicas, relativas a seus ambientes de formação. A partir de então o solo torna-se uma fonte de informação de toda a história evolutiva de uma região em seus mais variados parâmetros. Uma das formas de entender essa evolução dinâmica da paisagem é gerando um modelo de paleosuperfícies a partir da interpolação de confluências de drenagem. O trabalho objetivou reconstruir a paleogeografia da área inserida na bacia do Rio Jequitaí, a partir do Método de Isobases Confluentes, procurando analisar e identificar a evolução dos solos. A área está localizada na região centro-norte de Minas Gerais, sendo o Rio Jequitaí um afluente do Alto Rio São Francisco. O trabalho consistiu, na primeira etapa, em levantamento biblio/cartográfico da área em estudo. Durante esse levantamento, além de detectar as características físicas, bióticas e sócio-econômicas de modo a completar, reorganizar e adequar as informações da área, foi levantado um banco de dados base para a geração das Isobases, o qual foi constituído por modelos digitais de elevação (DEM) do programa ASTER e de dados vetoriais da principal rede de drenagem da bacia do Jequitaí. Na segunda etapa, as paleosuperfícies foram geradas usando aplicativos do programa ArcGis da ESRI. O produto final são as proto-superfícies para cada ordem de confluência. Assim no término do trabalho tem-se uma reconstrução da paleopaisagem correspondente, bem como das pro-estruturas equivalentes às condições de equilíbrio dinâmico daquele momento. A partir dos resultados obtidos foi possível concluir que a metodologia das Isobases Confluentes permite correlacionar os dados palinológicos, geocronológicos e geomorfológicos obtidos durante o estudo, para a reconstrução dos ambientes... This project is comprised by an interactive mobile robotics’ environment, focused in human-robot interaction. The system was developed to work in a smartphone, with Android operating system, embedded in a small size mobile robot. Information provided by the smartphone’s camera and microp hone, as well as by proximity sensors embedded in the robot, is used as inputs of a control architecture, implemented in software. It is a behavior-based and receptive to human commands control architecture, to assist the robot’s navigation. The robot is controlled by its own behaviors or by commands em it ted by humans

Técnicas de análise multivariada com aplicações a dados de natureza biológica

A análise estatística multivariada, extensão da análise univariada, consiste num conjunto de técnicas estatísticas, aplicadas quando há diversas variáveis relacionadas simultaneamente, sendo todas elas, em princípio, consideradas importantes no fenômeno em estudo. É de grande aplicação a conjuntos de dados das mais diversas áreas do conhecimento, principalmente da área biológica. Seu desenvolvimento teve um grande impulso na primeira metade do século passado. Entretanto, devido a complexidade dos cálculos matemáticos, principalmente envolvendo operações com matrizes de altas ordens, as aplicações somente se popularizaram nos dias atuais, com o desenvolvimento dos computadores e aplicativos computacionais. The applications market is heated and has grown in the recent years, every day thousands of apps are downloaded and many of these are electronic games and are intended for smartphones and tablets. The electronic games are often integrated with an online system which has the function of providing extra functionality to the players. This project proposes the development of online support system to a game designed for mobile devices, consisting of a website and a database which has the function of storing data online beyond a system called the back end which has the function to integrate all the modules mentioned previously

O professor e a prática telecolaborativa no teletandem

The new technologies have increasingly provided access to foreign languages and cultures and also to authentic communication. If we consider that the foreign languages teaching/learning process and teachers’ education can be enriched by telecollaboration, I believe it is necessary to observe the roles played by language teachers. Based on an ethnographic qualitative study carried out with Brazilian and foreign university students, this paper focuses on teletandem practice, a distance tandem modality carried out by audio and video conferences with resources such as Windows Live Messenger, Skype or ooVoo, to investigate roles played by language teachers in telecollaborative practice. The data were collected from (a) e-mails exchanged between the partners and between partners and the mediator-teacher; (b) DVDs of interaction sessions recordings; (c) written teletandem sessions recordings; (d) recordings of interviews between the partners and the researcher at ooVoo; (e) fi eld notes taken at Teletandem Laboratory at UNESP- Assis; and (f) participants’ written reports. The data analysis, from the hermeneutic interpretative perspective, revealed that the teacher is not ignored but is given new roles to maximize the process towards meaningful and intercultural learning.

Dental software allow for a practical management of clinical and administrative tasks of the dental office. The aim of this study was to correlate different software (ProDent, Is-Odonto, ExDental, DentalPro, Dental Office, Dental Clinic, Dentalis, EasyDental), through research in specialized sites on the internet, enumerating their advantages and disadvantages. Due to the variety of software in the market, the dentist should be aware of some aspects such as: friendliness of use, presence of a calendar base and administrative controls, storage of treatments and images, broader coverage of the dentist competency, direct contact with software developers, and the pertinent ethical issues.

Post-Occupancy Evaluation of buildings considers user satisfaction, building pathologies and performance, as well as users interventions in the built environment. The possibility of identifying interventions regardless of the user could provide a significant gain in the efficiency of Post-Occupancy Evaluations. We foresee the application of Augmented Reality (AR) to improve the identification of renovations by overlapping the construction information model with an image of the actual building. This article validates the use of AR on existing smartphone and tablet applications. This study proposes the incorporation of AR into the planning, execution and application of Post-Occupancy Evaluation. For the planning, this study proposes the development of a new research tool. With regards to the execution, this study examined the data collection conditions on site through the visualization of overlapping models. For the application, this study proposes displaying the results through the use of RA information layers. The transparency oft he RA model was used to allow comparison between the virtual model and the real model. The development and adaptation of the virtual model and the solution developed for the experiment of the RA proposal are presented and discussed. The experiment points to shortcomings that still make the proposed technological solution unfeasible.
