The main objective of the present work is to analyze the results of the utilization and evaluation of the LORETO Record System (LRS), providing improvement areas in the teaching-learning process and technology, in second year nursing students. A descriptive, prospective, cross sectional study using inferential statics has been carried out on all electronic records reported by 55 nursing students during clinical internships (April 1º-June 26º, 2013). Electronic record average rated 7.22 points (s=0.6; CV=0.083), with differences based on the clinical practice units (p<0,05). Three items assessed did not exceed the quality threshold set at 0.7 (p<0.05). Record Rate exceeds the quality threshold set at 80% for the overall sample, with differences based on the practice units. Only two clinical practice units rated above the minimum threshold (p <0.05). Record of care provision every 3 days did not reach the estimated quality threshold (p <0.05). There is a dichotomy between qualitative and quantitative results of LRS. Improvement areas in theoretical education have been identified. The LRS seems an appropriate learning and assessment tool, although the development of a new APP version and the application of principles of gamification should be explored.

El presente informe tiene como objetivo unificar, sintetizar y presentar las principales aportaciones realizadas en formato comunicación oral durante la celebración de las XI Jornadas de Redes de Investigación en Docencia Universitaria 2013. Retos de futuro en la enseñanza superior: Docencia e investigación para alcanzar la excelencia académica. Las temáticas de las comunicaciones participantes en la Mesa 2 corresponden en su totalidad a la línea “Innovación Docente: Estrategia para la práctica eficaz”. Han participado un total de 8 comunicaciones, correspondientes a proyectos realizados por personal docente de distintos Departamentos y Áreas de conocimiento de las Universidades de Alicante, Valencia y Castilla-La Mancha. Con diferentes diseños y herramientas tecnológicas, las distintas comunicaciones de esta mesa han presentado los resultados obtenidos y desarrollados en sus trabajos científicos para la innovación y mejora de calidad en el ámbito universitario.

Por lo general, los estudios sobre la eficacia de las estrategias comunicativas internas de las organizaciones se centran en el uso de las herramientas, mientras que los públicos y sus necesidades comunicativas caen en el olvido. Estudiar el estado de la responsabilidad social en su dimensión interna y cómo se gestiona, analizando la comunicación como instrumento que contribuye al alcance de las buenas prácticas internas de responsabilidad social y aportando los indicadores de su cumplimiento, van más allá de las técnicas empleadas. El trabajo que se presenta argumenta que la conducta empresarial se comunica y que en las relaciones internas se refleja dicha conducta.

Charge transport and dielectric measurements were carried out on compacted powder and single-crystal samples of bistable RbxMn[Fe(CN)6]y·zH2O in the two valence-tautomeric forms (MnIIFeIII and MnIIIFeII) as a function of temperature (120-350 K) and frequency (10-2-106 Hz). The complex conductivity data reveal universal conductivity behavior and obey the Barton-Nakajima-Namikawa relationship. The charge transport is accompanied by dielectric relaxation that displays the same thermal activation energy as the conductivity. Surprisingly, the activation energy of the conductivity was found very similar in the two valence-tautomeric forms (0.55 eV), and the conductivity change between the two phases is governed mainly by the variation of the preexponential factor in each sample. The phase transition is accompanied by a large thermal hysteresis of the conductivity and the dielectric constant. In the hysteresis region, however, a crossover occurs in the charge transport mechanism at T < 220 K from an Arrhenius-type to a varying activation energy behavior, conferring an unusual “double-loop” shape to the hysteresis.

Oxygen and carbon isotopic data were produced on the benthic foraminiferal taxa Cibicidoides and Planulina from 25 new piston cores, gravity cores, and multicores from the Brazil margin. The cores span water depths from about 400 to 3000 m and intersect the major water masses in this region. These new data fill a critical gap in the South Atlantic Ocean and provide the motivation for updating the classic glacial western Atlantic d13C transect of Duplessy et al. (1988). The distribution of 13C of SumCO2 requires the presence of three distinct water masses in the glacial Atlantic Ocean: a shallow (~1000 m), southern source water mass with an end-member d13C value of about 0.3-0.5 per mil VPDB, a middepth (~1500 m), northern source water mass with an end-member value of about 1.5 per mil, and a deep (>2000 m), southern source water with an end-member value of less than -0.2 per mil, and perhaps as low as the -0.9 per mil values observed in the South Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean (Ninnemann and Charles, 2002, doi:10.1016/S0012-821X(02)00708-2). The origins of the water masses are supported by the meridional gradients in benthic foraminiferal d18O. A revised glacial section of deep water d13C documents the positions and gradients among these end-member intermediate and deep water masses. The large property gradients in the presence of strong vertical mixing can only be maintained by a vigorous overturning circulation.

Results of radiocarbon dating of bottom sediments from the Baltic Sea are presented for four areas investigated during Cruises 16 and 26A of R/V Akademik Kurchatov. The dating was based mainly on organic matter from the sediments. At marine Holocene stage sedimentation rate was 0.2-1.0 mm/yr, with a sharp increase at the Sub-Atlantic Holocene phase. Considerable re-deposited sediment strata present in deep-water troughs. Material from bottom deposits of the stage of glacier-associated Baltic lakes, inherited from moraine deposits according to radiocarbon dating, represents sediments from a basin that existed at the site of the present-day Baltic Sea in the second half of Middle Würm and re-worked by a glacier.

Sudden changes in the stiffness of a structure are often indicators of structural damage. Detection of such sudden stiffness change from the vibrations of structures is important for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and damage detection. Non-contact measurement of these vibrations is a quick and efficient way for successful detection of sudden stiffness change of a structure. In this paper, we demonstrate the capability of Laser Doppler Vibrometry to detect sudden stiffness change in a Single Degree Of Freedom (SDOF) oscillator within a laboratory environment. The dynamic response of the SDOF system was measured using a Polytec RSV-150 Remote Sensing Vibrometer. This instrument employs Laser Doppler Vibrometry for measuring dynamic response. Additionally, the vibration response of the SDOF system was measured through a MicroStrain G-Link Wireless Accelerometer mounted on the SDOF system. The stiffness of the SDOF system was experimentally determined through calibrated linear springs. The sudden change of stiffness was simulated by introducing the failure of a spring at a certain instant in time during a given period of forced vibration. The forced vibration on the SDOF system was in the form of a white noise input. The sudden change in stiffness was successfully detected through the measurements using Laser Doppler Vibrometry. This detection from optically obtained data was compared with a detection using data obtained from the wireless accelerometer. The potential of this technique is deemed important for a wide range of applications. The method is observed to be particularly suitable for rapid damage detection and health monitoring of structures under a model-free condition or where information related to the structure is not sufficient.

Lipid contents in the upper layer of bottom sediments in the Baltic Sea range from 0.37 to 2.66 mg/g (1.2-25.8% Corg). It is shown that the main factors determining composition of lipids in bottom precipitates are relative roles of different sources of lipids in sediments and conditions of sediment accumulation. Runoff of the Daugava River into the Gulf of Riga contributes simple low-polarity lipids. Sterols and certain bound fatty acids originate in living organic matter. Polar lipids are formed by inheritance of complex phospholipids and glycolipids from plankton and/or by formation of polycondensates.

Con el objetivo de llevar a cabo el Proyecto de Centralización de Despacho de Vehículos y de Pasajeros del Transporte intermunicipal, se constituyó por Escritura Pública 5512 de 15 de octubre de 1967, otorgada en la Notaria 2ª. De Cali, la Sociedad Anónima denominada inicialmente Central de Transportes y posteriormente Centrales de Transportes S.A. con el propósito de procurar dar solución al problema de Transporte Masivo de Pasajeros por carretera mediante la construcción de Terminales de Transporte. Los objetivos propuestos para la Terminal fueron: Sociourbanístico, Control, Mejoramiento del nivel de servicio a los usuarios, creación de un polo de desarrollo, Aspectos urbanos, de tránsito y viales de la ciudad y Normatividad actual de la industria de transporte de pasajeros por carretera.
