Gegenstand dieser Arbeit ist die Untersuchung und Erarbeitung eines Messkonzepts sowie die Entwicklung und Implementierung softwareorientierter Komponenten für eine ultraschallbasierte Stoffanalyse. Eingangs erfolgt ein Überblick über die Kompo-nenten und Funktionsweisen des bereits bestehenden Multisensorkonzepts, welches eine grundlegende Basis für die Entwicklung und Implementierung des zu erarbeitenden Konzepts darstellt. Nachfolgend sind theoretische Betrachtungen auf Basis verschiedener Randbedingungen (Geometrien, etc.) untersucht und evaluiert worden. Auf dessen Grundlage sind elektronische und softwareorientierte Komponenten zur Messung verschiedener Größen implementiert und Tests unterzogen worden. Den Abschluss der Arbeit bildet eine Untersuchung und Darstellung aller Messgrößen des Multisensorsystems an ausgewählten Stoffgemischen.

Im Rahmen der Bachelorarbeit wurde ein Prüfstand zur Analyse von Kraftstoffpumpenelektroniken erweitert. Dies beinhaltete die Projektierung des Versuchsaufbaus, die Montage, die Inbetriebnahme und den verifizierenden Test einschließlich der erforderlichen Programmieraufgaben.

In this work, energy concepts for two completely different properties are sought. The first property is a deconstruction of an apartment building with 26 residential units on two separate buildings with 6 residential units. The energy concepts should enable an energy efficient house and allow options for renewable fuels. The second property includes four buildings which are supplied with fuel oil. A change to use natural gas is planned and wherever possible CHP technology for highly efficient use of energy.

Bei der Untersuchung von Elektroenergiespeicher als Unterstützung im Bereich des Verteilungs- und Übertragungsnetzes (Bereich der 110 kV) sollen die zur Verfügung stehenden Speichertechniken und ihre Reaktion auf Netzschwankungen sowie ihre Dynamik bei Angebots- und Nachfrageschwankungen betrachtet werden. Die Fragestellung soll dahingehend untersucht werden, welche Speicherlösungen derzeit am Markt positioniert sind und wie deren Netzintegration in das Verteilungs- und Übertragungsnetz realisiert wurde.

We are interested in coupled microscopic/macroscopic models describing the evolution of particles dispersed in a fluid. The system consists in a Vlasov-Fokker-Planck equation to describe the microscopic motion of the particles coupled to the Euler equations for a compressible fluid. We investigate dissipative quantities, equilibria and their stability properties and the role of external forces. We also study some asymptotic problems, their equilibria and stability and the derivation of macroscopic two-phase models.

Este trabajo es un panorama de la literatura empírica que ha analizado la relación entre educación y crecimiento económico. Tras esbozar el marco teórico que ha orientado la mayor parte de los estudios sobre el tema, se presentan las especificaciones empíricas más habituales y se discuten algunos problemas econométricos que surgen en su estimación. Seguidamente, se resumen los resultados de los principales trabajos.

In mammalian circadian clockwork, the CLOCK-BMAL1 complex binds to DNA enhancers of target genes and drives circadian oscillation of transcription. Here we identified 7,978 CLOCK-binding sites in mouse liver by chromatin immunoprecipitation-sequencing (ChIP-Seq), and a newly developed bioinformatics method, motif centrality analysis of ChIP-Seq (MOCCS), revealed a genome-wide distribution of previously unappreciated noncanonical E-boxes targeted by CLOCK. In vitro promoter assays showed that CACGNG, CACGTT, and CATG(T/C)G are functional CLOCK-binding motifs. Furthermore, we extensively revealed rhythmically expressed genes by poly(A)-tailed RNA-Seq and identified 1,629 CLOCK target genes within 11,926 genes expressed in the liver. Our analysis also revealed rhythmically expressed genes that have no apparent CLOCK-binding site, indicating the importance of indirect transcriptional and posttranscriptional regulations. Indirect transcriptional regulation is represented by rhythmic expression of CLOCK-regulated transcription factors, such as Krüppel-like factors (KLFs). Indirect posttranscriptional regulation involves rhythmic microRNAs that were identified by small-RNA-Seq. Collectively, CLOCK-dependent direct transactivation through multiple E-boxes and indirect regulations polyphonically orchestrate dynamic circadian outputs.

Ornament expression fluctuates with age in many organisms. Whether these changes are adaptively plastic is poorly known. In order to understand the ultimate function of melanin-based ornaments, we studied their within-individual fluctuations and their covariation with fitness-related traits. In barn owls (Tyto alba), individuals vary from reddish-brown pheomelanic to white and from immaculate to marked with black eumelanic spots, males being less reddish and less spotted than females. During the first molt, both sexes became less pheomelanic, females displayed larger spots and males fewer spots, but the extent of these changes was not associated with reproduction. At subsequent molts, intra-individual changes in melanin-based traits covaried with simultaneous reproduction changes. Adult females bred earlier in the season and laid larger eggs when they became scattered with larger spots, while adults of both sexes produced larger broods when they became whiter. These results suggest that the production of melanin pigments and fitness-related life history traits are concomitantly regulated in a sex-specific way.
