Contribuição ao conhecimento dos Bulimulidae: cochlorina aurisleporis (Bruguiére, 1792) (Gastropoda, Pulmonata)

Die Autoren bearbeiten in der vorliegenden Arbeit die bulimuliden Pulmonaten Cochlorina aurisleporis (Bruguiére, 1792), wobei sie insbesondere auf die anatomischen und histologischen Verhaeltnisse des Geschlechtsapparates eingehen und Schale, Kiefer und Lunge mit in die Betrachtung einbeziehen, um die Charaktere der Art anatomisch zu festigen.

Os gêneros Fasciolaria Lamarck, 1799 e Leucozonia Gray, 1847 no nordeste brasileiro (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Fasciolariidae)

The genera Fasciolaria Lamarck, 1799 and Leucozonia Gray, 1847 are represented in Northeastern Brazil by three species. Fasciolaria aurantiaca Lamarck, 1816; Leucozonia ocellata (Gmelin, 1791) and Leucozonia nassa (Gmelin, 1791). The three species are described and illustrated. An identification key for all the above mentioned taxa is included, together with some ecological data. The anatomy and radula of Fasciolaria aurantiaca and Leucozonia nassa are described and illustrated. Polimorfism in Fasciolaria aurantiaca and Leucozonia nassa is discussed.

Ultrastructural aspects of spermatogonesis in Metamicrocotyla macracantha (Alexander, 1954) Koratha, 1955 (Monogenea; Microcotylidae)

Ultrastructural aspects of spermatogenesis, spermiogenesis and of the mature spermatozoon of a microcotylid monogenean Metamicrocotyla macracantha parasite from Mugil liza, are described. The irregularly-shaped spermatogonia divides by successive mitoses, forming the primary spermatocytes, identified by the presence of synaptonemal complexes in their nuclei. The spermatids formed by meiotic cell divisions of the secondary spermatocytes, differentiate into a mature spermatozoon. Cross sections of the head and the middle region of mature spermatozoa show the nucleus with strong condensed chromatin, the mitochondria with short cristae, peripheral microtubules and two axonemes with a 9+1 pattern, confirming the characteristics of this genus.

New species described: Pantonyssus suturale sp. nov. (Santander); Anelaphus colombianus sp. nov. (Santander); A. sparsus sp. nov. (Magdalena).

Contributo para traçar o perfil do público leitor do Real Gabinete Português de Leitura: 1837-1847

Resultado de uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo identificar os critérios que propiciaram a política de seleção do acervo do Real Gabinete Português de Leitura e, a partir deles, estabelecer a Política de Seleção que foi praticada pelo Gabinete. Por uma abordagem exploratório-descritiva, utilizando características do acervo, este artigo busca delinear a figura do leitor no período de 1837-1847. Identifica ainda algumas classes de leitores e suas leituras.
