Revisão do gênero Runibia (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Pentatomini)

Runibia Stål, 1861 is redescribed, as well as the species R. dallasi Rider, 1998, R. decorata (Dallas, 1851), R. discoidea (Fabricius, 1787), R. euopta (Walker, 1867) and R. perspicua (Fabricius, 1798). A new species, R. caribeana, is described from Virgin Islands. Strachia alligata Walker, 1867, R. decorata var. alligata, and R. picturata Breddin, 1904 were considered junior synonyms of R. decorata. Lectotypes of R. dallasi, R. euopta and R. alligata were designated. Male and female genitalia for all species are described, except the phallus and ectodermal genital duct for R. dallasi. A key and a geographical distribution map are also provided.

Thysanopsis guimai sp. nov. from Brazil (Mato Grosso) is the second species described for this genus. Redescription of Thysanopsis albicauda Townsend, 1917, and new definition for the genus are done.

Moreiria wiedemanni sp. nov. e redescrição de M. maura (Diptera,Tachinidae)

The second new species of the genus Moreiria is described from Brazil (São Paulo, Santa Catarina). The male of Moreiria maura Townsend, 1932 is recognized and a new definition for the genus is presented.

Chaetogyne zoae sp. nov. (Diptera, Tachinidae)

A third new species of Chaetogyne Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1889 is described from Brazil (Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul) and a key for the three species of this genus is presented.

Nereididae (Annelida, Polychaeta) da costa nordeste do Brasil: II. Gêneros Namalycastis, Ceratocephale, Laeonereis e Rullierinereis

Six polychaete species belonging to the genera Namalycastis Hartman, 1959, Ceratocephale Malmgren, 1867, Laeonereis Hartman, 1945, and Rullierinereis Pettibone, 1970 were recorded as part of a systematic survey of the family Nereididae in estuaries, exposed sandy beaches, shelly soft bottoms, atolls and coral reefs of the Brazilian northeastern coast. Two new species, Rullierinereis auxiliadorae, from Ceará coast and Ceratocephale rocaensis, from Atol das Rocas, are described.

Acanthodoxus Martins & Monné, 1974, Cleodoxus Thomson, 1864 and Lathroeus Thomson, 1864 are studied. Cleodoxus lineaticollis Gounelle, 1910 is transferred to Baryssinus Bates, 1864. A key to the genera is added.

Revisão do gênero Appula (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Cerambycinae, Elaphidiini)

A taxonomic revision of the genus Appula Thomson, 1864 is presented. Three new species are described: from Brazil, A. diamantinensis (Pará, Mato Grosso) and A. santarensis (Pará); from Peru and Brazil (Mato Grosso, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul), A. eduardae. Seven species are redescribed. Illustrations and key to the species are added. Male and female genitalia are studied for the first time for the Appula species.

Notas sobre Pseudevoplitus (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae) e descrição de duas espécies novas

Two new species of the Neotropical genus Pseudevoplitus Ruckes,1958 are described, P. amazonicus Grazia & Greve, sp. nov. and P. roraimensis Grazia & Greve, sp. nov. both from the Brazilian Amazonia, with emphasis on genital characters. Additions to the generic description and a new key to the species are presented.

The genus Pteracantha Newman, 1838 is revised and P. agrestis sp. nov. is described from Brazil (Minas Gerais).

Description of the male of Hypognatha belem (Araneae, Araneidae)

The male of Hypognatha belem Levi, 1996 is described and illustrated for the first time. New records expand the distribution range of the species to northeastern and southeastern Brazil.

Amazonina tresmariensis sp. nov. from Três Marias, Minas Gerais, Brazil is described, and the male genitalia illustrated. Some ecological notes are presented.

New species described from Brazil: Estolomimus maculatus (Minas Gerais and São Paulo), E. transversus (Espírito Santo), E. lichenophorus (São Paulo), and from Bolivia: E. abjunctus (Beni). A key to the species is added.

The genus Parandra is reviewed and four genera are recognized: Parandra Latreille, 1804, Neandra Lameere, 1912, stat. nov., Archandra Lameere, 1912, stat. nov. and Acutandra gen. nov. The genus Parandra is subdivided in two subgenera: Parandra (Parandra) s. str. and Parandra (Birandra) subgen. nov. The geographical distribution of P. (P.) laevis Latreille, 1804 is commented and the probable synonymy between P. cubaecola Chevrolat, 1862 and P. (P.) cribrata Thomson, 1861 is discussed. New species described: P. (P.) tavakiliani from Puerto Rico and P. (Birandra) mariahelenae from Jamaica. New combinations: Neandra brunnea (Fabricius, 1798), Neandra marginicollis (Schaeffer, 1929), Archandra caspia (Ménétriès, 1832), Acutandra punctatissima (Thomson, 1861), A. degeeri (Thomson, 1867), A. murrayi (Lameere, 1912), A. araucana (Bosq, 1951), A. ubitiara (Santos-Silva & Martins, 2000), all from Parandra. Keys to genera of Parandrini, subgenera of Parandra and American species of Parandra and Acutandra are added.

A new species of Ibitermes (Isoptera, Termitidae) from the Atlantic forest, northeastern Brazil

The sterile castes of Ibitermes inflatus sp. nov. from Rio Tinto, State of Paraíba, Brazil are described and illustrated. This is the first record of a species of Ibitermes from the Brazilian northeast and from the Atlantic Forest biome. The absence of ridges in the molar plate of the left mandible and the presence of granules of sand and silt mixed with organic matter in advanced stage of decomposition in the digestive tube of workers suggest that the species is a typical humus feeding termite.
