Redescrição do tipo de equinoparyphium singularis (Lutz, 1924) comb. para Stephanoprora singularis (Lutz, 1924) (Trematoda, Equinostomatidae)

Os autores redescrevem e apresentam figuras originais do exemplar tipo de Stephanoprora singularis (Lutz, 1924) propondo uma nova combinação: Equinoparyphium singularis (Lutz, 1924) comb. n.

Philander opossum (Marsupialia), a new host record for Sparganum of Lueheella Baer, 1924 (= Spirometra Mueller, 1937)

Two samples of Sparganum, the larval form of Lueheella Baer, 1924 (= Spirometra Mueller, 1937) were recovered from Philander opossum (L. 1758) captured in Salobra, Mato Grosso State, Brazil, by Dr. Lauro Travassos in may, 1942. This is the first report of the presence of this larval form in P. opossum. Dealing with helminths recovered from Brazilian Marsupialia, deposited in Oswaldo Cruz Institute Helminthological Collection, we examined in two samples of the preserved material collected in Salobra. Mato Grosso State, nine larval forms (Sparganum) of Lueheella sp. One of the samples, with six specimens, tissue. It is the first report of philander opossum harbouring this larval stage. The studied preserved wet material was stained and whole mounts were deposited in the Oswaldo Cruz institute Helminthological collection ns. 31.470 and 31.471. Measurements are in mm.

Physa cubensis Pfeiffer, 1839 (Pulmonata: Physidae)

A description of Physa cubensis Pfeiffer, 1839, based on 15 speciments collected in Havana, Cuba, is presented. The shell, measuring 9.0 x 4,8mm to 12.3 x 6.4mm, is ovate-oblong, thin, diaphanous, horncolored, shining. Spire elevated, broadly conical; protoconch distinct, roundish, reddish-brown. About five moderately shouldered, roundly convex whorls, penultimate whorl expanded; spiral striation subobsolete; growth line faint on the intermediate whorls, clearly visible on the body whorl, crowded here and there. Suture well impressed. Aperture elongated 2.05 - 2.67 (mean 2.27) times as long as the remaining length of the shell, narrow obovulate-lunate; upper half acute-angled, lower half oval, narrowly rounded at the base; outer lip sharp, inner lip completely closing the umbilical region; a thick callus on the parietal wall; columellar plait well marked. Ratios: shell width/shell length - 0.52-0.61 (mean 0.55); spire length/shell length = 0.27 - 0.33 (mean 0.31); aperture length/shell length = 0.67 - 0.73 (mean 0.69). Oral lappets laterally mucronate; foot spatulate with acuminate tail. Mantle relection with 6 - 8 short triangular dentations in the right lobe (columellar side) and 4 - 6 in the left lobe (near the pneumostome). Renal tube tightly folded into a zigzag course. Ovotestis, ovispermiduct, seminal vesicle, oviduct, nidamental gland, uterus and vagina as in Physa marmorata (see Paraense, 1986, Mem. Inst. Oswaldo Cruz, 81: 459-469). Spermathecal body egg-shaped or pear-shaped; spermathecal ducta uniformly narrow with expanded base, a little longer than the body. Spermiduct, prostate and vas deferens as in P. marmorata (Paraense, loc. cit.). Penis wide proximally, narrowing gradually apicad; penial canal with subterminal outlet. Penial sheath following the width of the penis and ending up by a bulbous expansion somewhat narrower than the proximal portion. Penaial sheath/prepuce ration = 1,25 - 1,83 (mean 1.49). Prepuce much wider than the bulb of the penial shealth, moderately shouldered owing to the intromission of the bulb, and with a large gland in one side of its proximal half occupating about a third of its length. Extrinsic muscles of the penial complex as in P. marmorata. Jaw a simple obtusely V-shaped plate. Radula to be described separetely.

First record of Lutzomyia evansi (Nuñez-Tovar 1924) in Mexico (Diptera: Psychodidae, Phlebotominae)

The phlebotomine sand fly Lutzomyia evansi is recorded in Mexico for the first time. This species is a suspected vector of Leishmania infantum in other parts of its geographical range and was captured in a focus of American visceral leishmaniasis where the principal vector, Lu. longipalpis sensu lato, was also found. The relative public health importance of the two species in the study area (Chiapas state, Southern Mexico) is discussed.

Hermenêutica e saúde: reflexões sobre o pensamento de Hans-Georg Gadamer

Este artigo tem como objetivo contribuir para a utilização da hermenêutica de Gadamer na prática de enfermagem. Reflete acerca da incorporação do paradigma conceitual sobre a saúde, o cuidado e o diálogo terapêutico. Na primeira parte, apresenta a discussão dos conceitos Gadamerianos da obra Verdade e Método, a filosofia hermenêutica proposta pelo filósofo e finaliza com a articulação do conceito de saúde apresentado na obra O Caráter Oculto da Saúde, que propõe o cuidado mediado pelo diálogo terapêutico e sua utilização pelos profissionais de enfermagem.

Novas sinonímias propostas: X. neglectum (Gounelle, 1911) = Callichroma (Xystochroma) equestriforme Schmidt, 1924 syn. nov.; X. gracilipes (Bates, 1879) = Callichroma (Xystochroma) planipenne Schmidt, 1924 syn. nov. = Callichroma (Xystochroma) cuprisuturatum Zajciw, 1965 syn. nov. Novas espécies descritas do Brasil: X. femoratum sp. nov. (Minas Gerais e Rio Grande do Sul); X. echinatum sp. nov. (Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo); da Venezuela: X. incomptum sp. nov. (Amazonas). Chave para identificação das espécies de Xystochroma é fornecida.

A new species of Sycorax Curtis, 1839 from Atlantic Forest in southeastern Brazil

A new species of Sycorax Curtis, 1839 (Diptera, Psychodidae) from the Atlantic Forest in southeastern Brazil. Sycorax bravoi Santos, Ferreira & Falqueto sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on samples collected with a Möricke trap installed on the ground at the Biological Station of Santa Lúcia, municipality of Santa Teresa, in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. Males have a paramere with a spiniform prolongation on the distal surface and an aedeagus with a long posterior membranous dorsal prolongation. Females have a racket-shaped genital furca and tubular spermatheca, tapered on the apical third. This finding raises the number of Sycorax species known from Brazil to seven.

Naturaleza orgánica y responsabilidad ética: Hans Jonas y sus críticos

En este trabajo se presentan y discuten algunos ejemplos de la recepción crítica a las ideas de Jonas, en especial las de carácter ético. Se enfatiza que la posición ética de Jonas no es una propuesta utópica o ingenua, sino realista y conciente de sus limitaciones. Algunos críticos olvidan que el "principio de responsabilidad" jonasiano está ligado a una recuperación del organismo libre, concebido como el centro de la reflexión ética.

DROIT ET DÉMOCRATIE CHEZ HANS KELSEN. LA CRITIQUE KELSÉNIENNE DE LA PERSONNALISATION DE L’ÉTAT

Cette étude analyse comment Kelsen, pour libérer le droit et la démocratie des traces de ce qu'il appelle les hypostases collectives ou la mythologie de l'âme collective, prend position face aux grandes théories de la sociologie et de la psychologie sociale de son temps (Durkheim, Simmel, Weber et Freud). D'abord, il s'agira de montrer comment Kelsen critique les métaphores de l'âme collective ; ensuite, de montrer comment la pensée kelsénienne sur le droit et la démocratie essaie d'échapper aux problèmes liés à la métaphore de l'âme collective. Cela peut laisser entrevoir quelques points communs entre la théorie de Kelsen et les théories contemporaines sur le droit et la démocratie libérées des prémisses de l'idée d'une communauté homogène.
