Morphological study of the thorax of the five nymphal instars of Triatoma arthurneivai Lent & Martins (Hemiptera, Reduviidae, Triatominae)

Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was done in order to study dorsal, ventral and lateral sides of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th nymphal instars of Triatoma arthurneivai. The five nymphal instar can be recognized based on different pronotum, mesonotum and metanotum shapes and characteristics. In the 1st instar collar, hairless areas and tubercles are absent. The 2 nd instar presents collar, hairless areas and tubercles. In the 3rd instar occurs the development of wing pads. In the 4 th instar the four wing pads are expanded, but do not reach the abdomen and in the 5th instar the anterior wing pads almost overlap the posterior ones. At the ventral side, two metasternal glands openings (1+1) were found in all five nymphal instars. Brindley's gland evaporation areas (1+1) are located at the mesopleuron, as well as an evaporation area is located at the propleuron in all nymphal instars (1+1).

Description of the male of Eburella pinima Martins and notes on the geographical distribution of Eburodacrys aenigma Galileo & Martins and Eburodacrys lanei Zajciw (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)

Description of the male of Eburella pinima Martins and notes on the geographical distribution of Eburodacrys aenigma Galileo & Martins and Eburodacrys lanei Zajciw (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). The male of Eburella pinima Martins, 1997 is described and illustrated for the first time. Information on Eburodacrys aenigma Galileo & Martins, 2006, previously known only from the female holotype, which lacked locality label, is herein complemented. This species is recorded from Brazil and the male is depicted for the first time. The geographical distribution of Eburodacrys lanei Zajciw, 1958 is further restricted here as some previous records are confirmed to result from misidentifications of E. aenigma.

Enraizamento de estacas lenhosas de porta-enxertos de pereira sob nebulização intermitente

Pesquisou-se o enraizamento de estacas lenhosas dos porta-enxertos de pereira: Taiwan Nashi-C (Pyrus calleryana Decaisne), D'água (P. communis L) e Manshu Mamenashi (P. betulaefolia Bunge), na ausência de reguladores de crescimento. As estacas lenhosas, medindo 20 cm de comprimento e contendo de 3 a 4 gemas, foram submetidas aos tratamentos com e sem incisão na parte basal e mantidas por 60 dias em ambiente de nebulização intermitente. As estacas de 'Taiwan Nashi-C' e 'D'água' apresentaram 53,8 e 51,8 % de enraizamento, respectivamente, nos tratamentos com e sem incisão. Em estacas de 'Manshu Mamenashi', verificaram-se excesso de brotações foliares e índice de enraizamento quase nulo. O método de incisão na base das estacas influenciou significativamente no enraizamento do porta-enxerto 'D'água'.

Após indicar o caráter ideológico de conceitos básicos habitualmente mobilizados em análises da literatura dramática, este estudo tenta mostrar que é possível enxergar mais longe quando nos livramos dos limites por eles impostos. Detectada a fundamentação classista da história do teatro no Brasil, a luta ideológica aparece como um refletor capaz de iluminar aspectos normalmente obscurecidos das comédias de Martins Pena.
