Abstract: This paper reports part of a research made in a school in the city of Presidente Franco (Alto Paraguay), with seven teachers who use two languages daily – Spanish and Guarani. The goal of the work was analyzing interaction situations in which the speakers - focus of the study - use different linguistic codes, taking turns with them during speaking events. In order to develop the analyses, questions were made to check the speakers attitudes regarding the use of their languages. The theory that has based the study comes from contributions of Grosjean (1982), Erikson (1989), Pereira (1999), André (1995), among others. Results have shown that these teachers use their languages in different contexts and diglossic situations which are inherent to the community they live. It was also noticed that in spite of Guarani language is part of their linguistic common use, situations of its use usually depend on the context and the subject´s hegemonic view toward his own language. Keywords: bilingualism, linguistic attitudes, Spanish/Guarani.

Pretende-se, neste artigo, verificar no texto Você, você – uma canção edipiana, de Chico Buarque e Guinga, quatro das quatorze paixões observadas por Aristóteles em sua Retórica das Paixões, quais sejam: amor, ódio, confiança e temor. A base dessa análise é aristotélica, contudo, aludiremos a um repertório mitológico, o qual será necessário para a produção de sentido dessa leitura, na medida que, de forma autorizada pelo compositor por meio da colocação do aposto no título do texto, as relações discursivas firmadas entre enunciador e co-enucniador remetem a Édipo e Jocasta, figuras estas presentes na mitologia. Caberá também uma abordagem simbólica dos elementos lexicais presentes no corpus, pois as relações semânticas estabelecidas com a questão central do texto produzem efeitos de sentido que se impõem muito mais pelo não dito do que pelo dito. Nesse aspecto retoma-se a noção de ethos, constituindo-se este num elemento fundamental para a completude significativa do texto.

The aim of this paper is to make a reading of “Missy in the window” (s/d) by pernambuco artist Lula Cardoso Ayres (1910-1987). From the formal-geometric imagery repertoire typical of the 1940s and 1950s, when the Brazilian art, and even the work of Ayres, was heading to concretism, we read the gesture as an intrinsic element in the image. The theoretical foundation is made from the thought of the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben, in particular the text "Notes sure le geste", 1991, in which the "gesture" is the main reason of his reflections.

This article focuses on one of the aspects treated in the project Linguistic Atlas of Brazil (ALiB Project) – the teaching of Brazilian Portuguese language. Therefore, this paper investigates how individuals’ language presents specific linguistic marks that construct, maintain and project the diversity in the questionnaire of the ALiB Project, based on the use of the linguistic variation. Thereby, it deals with the importance of linguistic atlas for the education process, highlighting the publication of some Brazilian regional atlas and the linguistic atlas of Brazil. Thus, it discusses the relevant contribution of these works to the knowledge of the linguistic reality in Brazil, as the atlas can optimize and motivate classroom activities and they can also be explored by other subjects of school curriculum. The methodology used was based on the performance of the following stages: 1) reading of the theoretical texts related to the proposed theme; 2) choice and formation of the corpus, made up of inquests of the ALiB Project in different capitals; 3) analysis of the corpus in order to verify linguistic marks that transmit the construction, projection and maintenance of the linguistic variation. The analyses of the selected inquiries try to study variation and its relationship to education by the informers from different age-groups in the different capitals of the country. The analysis of the corpus enabled the realization of register and documentation of lexical diversity of Portuguese language spoken in Brazil, according to the principles of the modern Pluridimensional Geolinguistics, in which the register follows specific parameters.
