Analogy between the socio-cultural thematic of Macunaíma and the Tarsila do Amaral’s paintings: a possibility of broaden the senses of literary texts

This research seeks establishing relationships between the socio-cultural theme of Macunaíma and the some paintings by Tarsila do Amaral bringing reflections to literature teaching to suggest the seek to broaden the sense of literary texts. We will discuss the literature importance at school according to what is to predicted in the Diretrizes Curriculares de Língua Portuguesa. Research is based  on the notions of intertextuality by Bakhtin (2003),  on the postulates by Etienne Souriau (1983), on the criticism by Candido (2006) on the Reception Aesthetics, by Jauss (2002), Iser (1999) and on the writings by Bordini and Aguiar (1993).

THE POETRY OF CONVERGENCE AND THE MIRROR IMAGE IN GUIMARÃES ROSA

Affiliated with a literary context in which the poet seeks reconciliation between the self and the universe without rejecting the consciousness of the poetic process and the renovation of language, the poems of Guimarães Rosa in his book Ave, Palavra, are close to what Octavio Paz called "poetry of convergence." Such analogical point of view turns into metaphor in the poems through the myth of Narcissus and images that associate a reflexion and the meeting with the Other as a way to know yourself. This work presents a reading of these poetic compositions by examining how the analogy is established, relating those poems to his other works, identifying them, not as an accident in his trajetory, but as a work that carries Guimarães Rosa’s concerns explored in his literary career.

O imaginário na construção da realidade e do texto ficcional

RESUMO: Este artigo representa uma tentativa de legitimar os estudos de literatura, tendo como base os estudos de Wolfgang Iser, sobre o fictício e o imaginário. Partindo de conceitos sobre realidade e ficção, almejou-se identificar a função do imaginário e dos textos ficcionais na constituição das sociedades e da vida humanas. Por uma visão da literatura além de determinações culturais, históricas ou psicológicas, que poderiam reduzi-la a mera cópia, este texto buscou romper a dicotomia ficção / realidade, realçando a interdependência desses conceitos. Para isso foi efetuada uma analogia entre o processo de criação textual e de leitura e o de realização do imaginário como fundamento da realidade.
