Számítástechnikai hulladékok kezelési lehetőségei és gyakorlata Magyarországon (The possibilities and practice of computer waste management)

A szerzők cikkükben a számítástechnikai hulladékokkal foglalkoznak, számítástechnikai eszközök alatt a számítógép konfigurációk összetevőit értik, tehát számítógépeket (asztali, hordozható, terminál stb.), és perifériáit (monitor, nyomtató, cd-író stb.), valamint ezek alkatrészeit és kiegészítőit (chipek, mechanikus részek, festékkazetták stb.). A rendszeres használat környezeti hatásait csak abból a szempontból vizsgálták, hogy ennek során bizonyos alkatrészek, kellékek (kiemelten a nyomtatók festékkazettái) a gépnél nagyobb gyakorisággal cserélődnek, s válhatnak hulladékká. A fő fókusz a számítástechnikai eszközök élettartamának vége, s ebből a szempontból kulcsfogalom a használt személyi számítógép kategória. _____ In their article, the authors discuss the issue of computer waste; under the category of information technology devices they understand the components of computer configurations, that is computers (desktop, portable, terminal etc.) and their peripheries (monitor, printer, CD writer, etc), and also the components and supplements of these (chips, mechanical parts, toner cartridges, etc.). The environmental impact of regular use was examined only from one aspect: during regular use certain components and accessories (especially the toner cartridges of printers) are more often changed and become waste. The main focus is the end of the life time of computer devices, and from this point of view used personal computers are a key concept.

Future Possibilities, Social Challenges and Adaptation Requirements of Industrial Progress

The paper addresses the technological change that is currently happening in industry. First, a review of the global trends that impact industrial developmentsis made, then a summary ofexpanding intelligent technologies and their systems. The report describes in detail the concept of Industry 4.0 and its major technology-related aspects. At the end of the paper, a summary of social consequences is addressed, especially concerning generational concerns connected to the current change in industrial technology. The purpose of the study is to raise some special aspects and considerations in the given subject.

Az ipari parkok szerepe a kínai - magyar gazdasági kapcsolatok fejlesztésében (Industrial parks in the development of Hungarian – Chinese economic relations)

A kínai-magyar gazdasági kapcsolatoktól mindenki sokat várt eddig, de viszonylag kevés növekedési hatást sikerült elérnie Magyarországnak a dinamikusan felemelkedő kínai gazdaságból. A tanulmány azt vizsgálja, hogy az ipari parkok, logisztikai bázisok terén mi teheti vonzóvá Magyarországot az EU piacát megcélzó kínai vállalatok számára, illetve milyen gazdasági lehetőségek rejlenek az ipari parkok hálózatában ahhoz, hogy a kínai növekedési dinamika valamennyire érvényesüljön a magyar gazdaságban is. / === / Most of the economic and political actors in Hungary have expected high benefits from the Chinese – Hungarian economic relations, but only moderated growth impact has been imported from the dynamic emerging Chinese economy. The study surveys the potentials of industrial parks and logistic bases whether how much they can add to the attractiveness of Hungary toward the Chinese companies targeting the single market of the EU, and what range of economic opportunities is exploitable in the network of industrial parks for having the Chinese growth dynamics to prevail particularly in the Hungarian economy.

Contradictions inherent in the management of natural and industrial disasters

These days people keep wondering whether the world is more dangerous now than it was before. Do natural disasters really happen more frequently or is it just that the damage they cause that has become greater? The situation is not quite clear. As a result of the globalizing world and advanced communication infrastructure, the number of known / reported catastrophes is relatively high, but that does not necessarily mean there has been an actual increase in frequency. The red mud spill in Hungary was a special combination of industrial and natural disasters. This is one of the reasons why it is very hard to pinpoint who is responsible for the event. Natural disasters tend to raise questions about responsibility that are different from those concerning industrial catastrophes. Interestingly enough, however, nature often plays an important role in industrial disasters. The present article is concerned with how the issues of responsibility are handled in the case of industrial disasters.
