Mathematical Packages for Teaching and Research in Internet – Application and Information Support

The paper considers the use and the information support of the most important mathematical Application Packages (AP), such as Maple, Matlab, Mathcad, Mathematica, Statistica and SPSS – mostly used during Calculus tuition in Universities. The main features of the packages and the information support in the sites of the producers are outlined, as well as their capacity for work in Internet, together with educational sites and literature related to them. The most important resources of the TeX system for preparation of mathematical articles and documents are presented.

SCIT — Ukrainian Supercomputer Project

The paper describes a first supercomputer cluster project in Ukraine, its hardware, software and characteristics. The paper shows the performance results received on systems that were built. There are also shortly described software packages made by cluster users that have already made a return of investments into a cluster project.

One-Parameter Bifurcation Analysis of Dynamical Systems using Maple

This paper presents two algorithms for one-parameter local bifurcations of equilibrium points of dynamical systems. The algorithms are implemented in the computer algebra system Maple 13 © and designed as a package. Some examples are reported to demonstrate the package’s facilities.

Web-application for Presentation of Bulgarian Language Heritage: Bilingual Digital Corpora and Dictionaries

The paper describes three software packages - the main components of a software system for processing and web-presentation of Bulgarian language resources – parallel corpora and bilingual dictionaries. The author briefly presents current versions of the core components “Dictionary” and “Corpus” as well as the recently developed component “Connection” that links both “Dictionary” and “Corpus”. The components main functionalities are described as well. Some examples of the usage of the system’s web-applications are included.
