The so called “Plural Uncertainty Model” is considered, in which statistical, maxmin, interval and Fuzzy model of uncertainty are embedded. For the last case external and internal contradictions of the theory are investigated and the modified definition of the Fuzzy Sets is proposed to overcome the troubles of the classical variant of Fuzzy Subsets by L. Zadeh. The general variants of logit- and probit- regression are the model of the modified Fuzzy Sets. It is possible to say about observations within the modification of the theory. The conception of the “situation” is proposed within modified Fuzzy Theory and the classifying problem is considered. The algorithm of the classification for the situation is proposed being the analogue of the statistical MLM(maximum likelihood method). The example related possible observing the distribution from the collection of distribution is considered.

For inference purposes in both classical and fuzzy logic, neither the information itself should be contradictory, nor should any of the items of available information contradict each other. In order to avoid these troubles in fuzzy logic, a study about contradiction was initiated by Trillas et al. in [5] and [6]. They introduced the concepts of both self-contradictory fuzzy set and contradiction between two fuzzy sets. Moreover, the need to study not only contradiction but also the degree of such contradiction is pointed out in [1] and [2], suggesting some measures for this purpose. Nevertheless, contradiction could have been measured in some other way. This paper focuses on the study of contradiction between two fuzzy sets dealing with the problem from a geometrical point of view that allow us to find out new ways to measure the contradiction degree. To do this, the two fuzzy sets are interpreted as a subset of the unit square, and the so called contradiction region is determined. Specially we tackle the case in which both sets represent a curve in [0,1]2. This new geometrical approach allows us to obtain different functions to measure contradiction throughout distances. Moreover, some properties of these contradiction measure functions are established and, in some particular case, the relations among these different functions are obtained.

This work shows an application of a generalized approach for constructing dilation-erosion adjunctions on fuzzy sets. More precisely, operations on fuzzy quantities and fuzzy numbers are considered. By the generalized approach an analogy with the well known interval computations could be drawn and thus we can define outer and inner operations on fuzzy objects. These operations are found to be useful in the control of bioprocesses, ecology and other domains where data uncertainties exist.

The problems of formalization of the process of matching different management subjects’ functioning characteristics obtained on the financial flows analysis basis is considered. Formal generalizations for gaining economical security system knowledge bases elements are presented. One of feedback directions establishment between knowledge base of the system of economical security and financial flows database analysis is substantiated.

In the paper a fuzzy sets implementation into web sites classification is considered. Web sites external features are addressed and the possibility to use them for the classification is proved. An example with five different categories classification is given.

Authors analyses questions of the subjective uncertainty and inexactness situations in the moment of using expert information and another questions which are connected with expert information uncertainty by fuzzy sets with rough membership functions in this article. You can find information about integral problems of individual expert marks and about connection among total marks “degree of inexactness” with sensibility of measurement scale. A lot of different situation which are connected with distribution of the function accessory significance and orientation of the concrete take to task decision making are analyses here.

An approach for knowledge extraction from the information arriving to the knowledge base input and also new knowledge distribution over knowledge subsets already present in the knowledge base is developed. It is also necessary to realize the knowledge transform into parameters (data) of the model for the following decision-making on the given subset. It is assumed to realize the decision-making with the fuzzy sets’ apparatus.

We introduce a modification of the familiar cut function by replacing the linear part in its definition by a polynomial of degree p + 1 obtaining thus a sigmoid function called generalized cut function of degree p + 1 (GCFP). We then study the uniform approximation of the (GCFP) by smooth sigmoid functions such as the logistic and the shifted logistic functions. The limiting case of the interval-valued Heaviside step function is also discussed which imposes the use of Hausdorff metric. Numerical examples are presented using CAS MATHEMATICA.

In the work [1] we proposed an approach of forming a consensus of experts’ statements in pattern recognition. In this paper, we present a method of aggregating sets of individual statements into a collective one for the case of forecasting of quantitative variable.
