Experimental Support of Argument-based Syntactic Computation

Linguistic theory, cognitive, information, and mathematical modeling are all useful while we attempt to achieve a better understanding of the Language Faculty (LF). This cross-disciplinary approach will eventually lead to the identification of the key principles applicable in the systems of Natural Language Processing. The present work concentrates on the syntax-semantics interface. We start from recursive definitions and application of optimization principles, and gradually develop a formal model of syntactic operations. The result – a Fibonacci- like syntactic tree – is in fact an argument-based variant of the natural language syntax. This representation (argument-centered model, ACM) is derived by a recursive calculus that generates a mode which connects arguments and expresses relations between them. The reiterative operation assigns primary role to entities as the key components of syntactic structure. We provide experimental evidence in support of the argument-based model. We also show that mental computation of syntax is influenced by the inter-conceptual relations between the images of entities in a semantic space.

Понятия биват въвеждани без обосноваване, някои доказателства са ненужно изкуствени, а почти винаги и едните, и другите като че биват отнесени към една или друга особена структура, вместо към множеството на дробите изобщо. Изненадващо е, че някои същностни твърдения изглежда дори не са формулирани в литературата по теория на числата. Тази статия има за цел да подобри състоянието на нещата в това отношение, като предлага общо, подходящо подредено изложение на понятия и свързани с тях твърдения. Като допълнение са представени бележки върху пораждането на множеството от всички дроби – откритие значително по-старо, отколкото е прието да се смята.

Dynamical Systems in Description of Nonlinear Recursive Regression Transformers

The task of approximation-forecasting for a function, represented by empirical data was investigated. Certain class of the functions as forecasting tools: so called RFT-transformers, – was proposed. Least Square Method and superposition are the principal composing means for the function generating. Besides, the special classes of beam dynamics with delay were introduced and investigated to get classical results regarding gradients. These results were applied to optimize the RFT-transformers. The effectiveness of the forecast was demonstrated on the empirical data from the Forex market.
