The Beginning of a Partnership in the Process of Studying Mathematics

In this paper we present the beginning of a partnership between the students in the upper classes and those in the beginner classes in 21st Secondary School “Hristo Botev”, Sofia. We examine deeply two of the used types of cooperative activity. The work shows the main steps in the organization of the project. We have included the motives for work both of the teachers and the students. The present work shows the concrete advantages for the different age groups and the reflection on the parents, as well.

Self-organization of Functioning Process of Expert System with the Use of Subject Domain Ontology

Optimization of design, creation, functioning and accompaniment processes of expert system is the important problem of artificial intelligence theory and decisions making methods techniques. In this paper the approach to its solving with the use of technology, being based on methodology of systems analysis, ontology of subject domain, principles and methods of self-organisation, is offered. The aspects of such approach realization, being based on construction of accordance between the ontology hierarchical structure and sequence of questions in automated systems for examination, are expounded.

An Approach to Representing the Process of Information Business Modeling

The compact and visualized documenting of information business modeling is a major prerequisite for comprehending its basic concepts, as well as for its effective application and improvement. The documenting of this process is related to its modeling. Thus, the process of information business modeling can be represented by its own tools. Being based on this thesis, the authors suggest an approach to representing the process of information business modeling. A profile for its documenting has been developed for the purpose.

Examination of Passwords’ Influation on the Compressing Process of Non-Encrypted Objects

The principal methods of compression and different types of non-encrypted objects are described. An analysis is made of the results obtained from examinations of the speed of compression for objects when using passwords with different length. The size of the new file obtained after compression is also analyzed. Some evaluations are made with regard to the methods and the objects used in the examinations. In conclusion some deductions are drawn as well as recommendations for future work.

This paper is dedicated to modelling of network maintaining based on live example – maintaining ATM banking network, where any problems are mean money loss. A full analysis is made in order to estimate valuable and not-valuable parameters based on complex analysis of available data. Correlation analysis helps to estimate provided data and to produce a complex solution of increasing network maintaining effectiveness.

An Intelligent System for Investigations and Provision of Safety for Complex Constructions

Methodology of computer-aided investigation and provision of safety for complex constructions and a prototype of the intelligent applied system, which implements it, are considered. The methodology is determined by the model of the object under scrutiny, by the structure and functions of investigation of safety as well as by a set of research methods. The methods are based on the technologies of object-oriented databases, expert systems and on the mathematical modeling. The intelligent system’s prototype represents component software, which provides for support of decision making in the process of safety investigations and investigation of the cause of failure. Support of decision making is executed by analogy, by determined search for the precedents (cases) with respect to predicted (on the stage of design) and observed (on the stage of exploitation) parameters of the damage, destruction and malfunction of a complex hazardous construction.

Reflection in Studying Electronic Tables at School

The present study is dedicated on forming skills for producing reflections from both students and teachers in studying the topic ‘Electronic Tables’ at school. This study provides a detailed explanation of the applications of the ALACT model where the process of reflection is realized via a cyclic model. An overlook is given on specific examples from the IT education which realize reflection.
