This work reports on a new software for solving linear systems involving affine-linear dependencies between complex-valued interval parameters. We discuss the implementation of a parametric residual iteration for linear interval systems by advanced communication between the system Mathematica and the library C-XSC supporting rigorous complex interval arithmetic. An example of AC electrical circuit illustrates the use of the presented software.

The Self-shrinking p-adic cryptographic generator (SSPCG) is a fast software stream cipher. Improved cryptoanalysis of the SSPCG is introduced. This cryptoanalysis makes more precise the length of the period of the generator. The linear complexity and the cryptography resistance against most recently used attacks are invesigated. Then we discuss how such attacks can be avoided. The results show that the sequence generated by a SSPCG has a large period, large linear complexity and is stable against the cryptographic attacks. This gives the reason to consider the SSPSG as suitable for critical cryptographic applications in stream cipher encryption algorithms.

The paper describes a learning-oriented interactive method for solving linear mixed integer problems of multicriteria optimization. The method increases the possibilities of the decision maker (DM) to describe his/her local preferences and at the same time it overcomes some computational difficulties, especially in problems of large dimension. The method is realized in an experimental decision support system for finding the solution of linear mixed integer multicriteria optimization problems.

In this paper we propose a refinement of some successive overrelaxation methods based on the reverse Gauss–Seidel method for solving a system of linear equations Ax = b by the decomposition A = Tm − Em − Fm, where Tm is a banded matrix of bandwidth 2m + 1. We study the convergence of the methods and give software implementation of algorithms in Mathematica package with numerical examples. ACM Computing Classification System (1998): G.1.3.
