Adaptation of a Task-oriented Training Environment to its Users

The problem of adapting teaching systems to the teacher has not been extensively covered in the specialised literature. The authors present the server-client architecture of a Task-Oriented Environment for Design of Virtual Labs (TOEDVL). The paper focuses on the computational models supporting its base of tasks (BT) and on two groups of behavioural tutor’s models for planning training sessions. Detailed examples are presented.

They are for the first time consistent with the requirements of object-oriented technology of informational systems design. An UML Project of a Task-Oriented Environment for Teaching Algorithms

This paper continues the author’s team research on development, implementation, and experimentation of a task-oriented environment for teaching and learning algorithms. This environment is a part of a large-scale environment for course teaching in different domains. The paper deals only with the UML project of the teaching team’s side of the environment.. The implementation of the project ideas is demonstrated on a WINDOWS-based environment’s prototype.

Review and Outlooks of the Means for Visualization of Syntax Semantics and Source Code. Procedural and Object Oriented Paradigm – Differences

In the article, we have reviewed the means for visualization of syntax, semantics and source code for programming languages which support procedural and/or object-oriented paradigm. It is examined how the structure of the source code of the structural and object-oriented programming styles has influenced different approaches for their teaching. We maintain a thesis valid for the object-oriented programming paradigm, which claims that the activities for design and programming of classes are done by the same specialist, and the training of this specialist should include design as well as programming skills and knowledge for modeling of abstract data structures. We put the question how a high level of abstraction in the object-oriented paradigm should be presented in simple model in the design stage, so the complexity in the programming stage stay low and be easily learnable. We give answer to this question, by building models using the UML notation, as we take a concrete example from the teaching practice including programming techniques for inheritance and polymorphism.

Agent-Oriented Middleware Supporting Delivery of Mobile Elearning Services

Within project Distributed eLearning Center (DeLC) we are developing a system for distance and eLearning, which offers fixed and mobile access to electronic content and services. Mobile access is based on InfoStation architecture, which provides Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. On InfoStation network we are developing multi-agent middleware that provides context-aware, adaptive and personalized access to the mobile services to the users. For more convenient testing and optimization of the middleware a simulation environment, called CA3 SiEnv, is being created.

След това е описан и алгоритъмът за генериране на кода на тестващия модул.

A project for structuring and categorizing the content is presented. A website for accessing the digital folklore archive is designed and implemented.
