Highest Weight Modules of W1+∞, Darboux Transformations and the Bispectral Problem

This paper is a survey of our recent results on the bispectral problem. We describe a new method for constructing bispectral algebras of any rank and illustrate the method by a series of new examples as well as by all previously known ones. Next we exhibit a close connection of the bispectral problem to the representation theory of W1+∞–algerba. This connection allows us to explain and generalise to any rank the result of Magri and Zubelli on the symmetries of the manifold of the bispectral operators of rank and order two.

Backlund-Darboux Transformations in Sato's Grassmannian

We define Bäcklund–Darboux transformations in Sato’s Grassmannian. They can be regarded as Darboux transformations on maximal algebras of commuting ordinary differential operators. We describe the action of these transformations on related objects: wave functions, tau-functions and spectral algebras.

Practical, Computation Efficient High-Order Neural Network for Rotation and Shift Invariant Pattern Recognition

In this paper, a modification for the high-order neural network (HONN) is presented. Third order networks are considered for achieving translation, rotation and scale invariant pattern recognition. They require however much storage and computation power for the task. The proposed modified HONN takes into account a priori knowledge of the binary patterns that have to be learned, achieving significant gain in computation time and memory requirements. This modification enables the efficient computation of HONNs for image fields of greater that 100 × 100 pixels without any loss of pattern information.

The Darboux Problem for a Class of 3-D Weakly Hyperbolic Equations

Протер формулира нови тримерни гранични задачи както за клас слабо хиперболични уравнения, така и за някои хиперболично-елиптични уравнения. За разлика от коректността на двумерната задача на Дарбу, новите задачи са некоректни. За слабо хиперболични уравнения, съдържащи младши членове, ние намираме достатъчни условия както за съществуване и единственост на обобщени решения с изолирана степенна особеност, така и за единственост на квази-регулярни решения на задачата на Протер.

The gauge invariant currents of the Maxwellian field

We show that a conserved current for the Maxwellian field, which is invariant under the gauge group of that field, is the sum of two currents Ф+T, where Ф corresponds to a Poincare symmetry of the field, and T is a topological form that is conserved under every dynamics.
