Over the past several years, there has been a growing interest in CAM therapies at UCHC. There are doctors, nurses, researchers and students all actively learning about, researching and using CAM modalities. Among them is Dr. Mitch Kennedy, the first Naturopathic Physician to treat patients at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Using a pure-exchange overlapping generations model, characterized with tax evasion and information asymmetry between the government (the social planner) and the financial intermediaries, we try and seek for the optimal tax and seigniorage plans, derived from the welfare maximizing objective of the social planner. We show that irrespective of whether the economy is characterized by tax evasion, or asymmetric information, a benevolent social planner, maximizing welfare and simultaneously financing the budget constraint, should optimally rely on explicit rather than implicit taxation.

Gingko biloba, one of the most popular herbs in the USA is known for its various therapeutic uses and is now well researched for its various active compounds. Although originally grown in Asia, the tree is distributed all over the world. Leaves, bark, roots all have therapeutic properties and are used for various illnesses like asthma, circulatory ailments and cognitive support or dysfunction.
