Intelligente Hochleistungsförderkette aus Kunststoff

Im folgenden Beitrag wird die Entwicklung einer metallverstärkten Kunststoffgleitkette mit integrierter Sensorik skizziert. Der Focus der Arbeit liegt unter anderem auf Untersuchungen zum Werkstoffverbundverhalten zwischen Metall und Kunststoff, der Adaptierung von Mikroelektronik in einzelne Kettenglieder, einer großserientauglichen Fertigungstechnologie für hybride Leichtbaukomponenten, sowie die Erarbeitung von Gestaltungsgrundsätzen und Logistikkonzepten für die Produktion von Leichtbaukomponenten mittels fusionierter Prozesse.

Mathematical methods for the configuration of transportation systems with a focus on continuous and modular matrix conveyors

The lack of flexibility in logistic systems currently on the market leads to the development of new innovative transportation systems. In order to find the optimal configuration of such a system depending on the current goal functions, for example minimization of transport times and maximization of the throughput, various mathematical methods of multi-criteria optimization are applicable. In this work, the concept of a complex transportation system is presented. Furthermore, the question of finding the optimal configuration of such a system through mathematical methods of optimization is considered.

The use of learning management systems: A Longitudinal Case Study

In this article the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) at the School of Engineering, University of Borås, in the year 2004 and the academic year 2009-2010 is investigated. The tools in the LMS were classified into four groups (tools for distribution, tools for communication, tools for interaction and tools for course administration) and the pattern of use was analyzed. The preliminary interpretation of the results was discussed with a group of teachers from the School of Engineering with long experience of using LMS. High expectations about LMS as a tool to facilitate flexible education, student centered methods and the creation of an effective learning environment is abundant in the literature. This study, however, shows that in most of the surveyed courses the available LMS is predominantly used to distribute documents to students. The authors argue that a more elaborate use of LMS and a transformation of pedagogical practices towards social constructivist, learner centered procedures should be treated as an integrated process of professional development.

Novel calculation method for chain conveyor systems

Sidexflexing plastic chains are used increasingly in material handling due to their highly flexible conveying design and layout options. These systems are often equipped with so called modular belts. Due to their specific force transmission, detailed calculation methods are not yet available. In the following, a generally valid calculation approach is derived and its difference to existing solutions shown by examples.

Layoutgenerierung und Geometrieberechnung für die systematische Planung manuell bedienter Lagersysteme

Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird ein Modell für die Beschreibung und Berechnung der Geometrie manuell bedienter Lagersysteme entwickelt und validiert, welches die Grundlage für eine rechnergestützte Planungssystematik bildet. Der modulare Aufbau des Modells ermöglicht durch entsprechende Erweiterungen die Berechnung des Lagerplatzbedarfs unter Berücksichtigung von Lagerstrategien. Auch die Betrachtung von Speziallösungen wie der Verwendung unterschiedlich hoher Lagerplätze ist möglich. Abschließend wird das vorgestellte Modell auf seine Anwendbarkeit zur systematischen Erzeugung verschiedener Layouts als Lösungsalternativen untersucht.

Zielgerechte Logistikkonzepte in Betrachtung von LNG- Umschlageplätzen unter Berücksichtigung von Industrie 4.0

Logistikkonzepte in der Spedition und Transportgewerbe spielen heutzutage eine immer wichtigere Rolle, um Lohnnebenkosten so niedrig wie möglich zu halten. Gerade in der Spedition entsteht ein Zusammenspiel aus zeitnaher Lieferung von Konsumgütern und Optimierung der Lagerhaltungskosten bei dem die modulare Integration von Logistik, Informationstechnischen Systemen und vernetzter Kommunikation eine ganz spezifische Rolle hat. Anbindung von der Industrie zum Kunden wird dadurch immer mehr verstärkt, wobei sich somit dies zusehends zu einem Technologietransfer der Industrie 4.0 entwickelt. Die deutsche Wirtschaft steht augenblicklich am Übergabepunkt zur virtuellen Revolution im Industriezeitalter.
