Ringier (Unternehmen)

Gruppo mediatico di proprietà della fam. omonima, le cui origini risalgono alla tipografia fondata nel 1833 a Zofingen da Johann Rudolf (1803-1874). Nel 1898 Paul August Ringier, esponente della terza generazione, rilevò l'azienda, che ampliò fino a farne un'impresa tipografica industriale e una delle principali case editrici della Svizzera. Nel 1932 la Ringier fu trasformata in un gruppo, divenne una soc. anonima e fu fondata la holding. Fino al 1938 pubblicò nove riviste illustrate per fam., di intrattenimento e dedicate ai programmi radiofonici, con una tiratura complessiva di 680'000 copie; nel 1959 diede vita al Blick. Dal 1960 con Hans (1906-2003), figlio di Paul August, e dal 1985 con i suoi figli Christoph (nascita 1941; in azienda fino al 1991) e Michael (nascita 1949), l'impresa divenne il più grande gruppo mediatico della Svizzera. Dal 1980 si è espansa in Germania, Asia e negli Stati Uniti e dal 1992 nell'Europa orientale. Sonographic Assessment of the Umbilical Cord

The umbilical cord is not an inert structure, suspended between the fetus and placenta, but it plays an active role and it is involved in several processes afflicting the feto-placental unit. Its study has to be regarding not only its morphology and morphometry, and the impendance of blood flow by Doppler waveform analysis, but it includes also an analysis of the coiling type and the amount of the Wharton Jelly. The umbilical cord has been considered like an important and huge source of informations, useful to assess the well-being of the fetus and the outcome of pregnancy. The standardization of ultrasound techniques is the first step to speak the same language and make the study of this structure a fundamental part of well-being fetus assessment. This article is carefully focused on morphologic, morphometric and functional ultrasound examination of umbilical cord and suggests that any anomaly detected should provide an indication for an intense fetal follow-up, useful for early helpful therapy, preventing serious complication for the pregnancy.

Interaction of the Trinuclear Triangular Secondary Building Unit [Cu 3 (μ 3 -OH)(μ-pz) 3 ] 2+ with 4,4′-Bipyridine. Structural Characterizations of New Coordination Polymers and Hexanuclear Cu II Clusters. 2°

By reacting 4,4′-bipyridine (bpy) with selected trinuclear triangular CuII complexes, [Cu3(μ3-OH)(μ-pz)3(RCOO)2(LL′)] [pz = pyrazolate anion; R = CH3, CH3CH2, CH2═CH, CH2═C(CH3); L, L′ = Hpz, H2O, MeOH] in MeOH, the substitution of monotopic ligands by ditopic bpy was observed. Depending on the stoichiometric reaction ratios, different compounds were isolated and structurally characterized. One- and two-dimensional coordination polymers (CPs), as well as two hexanuclear CuII clusters were identified. One of the hexanuclear clusters self-assembles into a supramolecular three-dimensional structure, and its crystal packing shows the presence of two intersecting channels, one of which is almost completely occupied by guest bpy, while in the second one guest water molecules are present. This compound also shows a reversible, thermally induced, single-crystal-to-single-crystal transition.
