Marcadores sociais da diferença nas experiências travestis de enfrentamento à aids

Os argumentos apresentados neste artigo partem de apontamentos etnográficos oriundos de pesquisa antropológica realizada entre travestis que se prostituem. A partir da análise dessas notas, apresentam-se as categorias classificatórias acionadas pelas travestis que se prostituem a fim de, por esses termos, demarcarem diferenças pouco consideradas pelos formuladores de políticas de saúde, mas que são significativas para elas, pois se referem a maneiras singularizadas de subjetividades nas quais gênero, geração, classe e raça estão implicadas. Assim, procura-se explorar como esses marcadores sociais da diferença operam contextual e relacionalmente nas respostas que esses sujeitos têm elaborado frente à sistemática associação entre travestis e aids, e como esses eixos se enfeixam compondo experiências específicas do adoecer e do sofrimento, ao mesmo tempo em que permitem que as travestis mobilizem diversas estratégias de resistência e enfrentamento a processos de estigmatização. A discussão a ser empreendida vale-se do escopo teórico pós-estruturalista, bem como das contribuições do feminismo como crítica epistemológica.

Travestilidades nômades: a explosão dos binarismos e a emergência queering

Apresentamos neste artigo algumas problematizações a respeito da expressão travesti, que, não se apoiando em um modelo único de referência sexual e de gênero para sua efetivação, nos permitiria falar em processos de 'travestilização'. Esses processos se constituem através de dispositivos em que lineamentos duros, flexíveis e de fuga participam da criação de seus corpos, desejos e prazeres, transitando entre efeitos-consequências de discursos normativos e singularizadores. Sua circulação no mundo coloca em xeque as matrizes binárias heteronormativas do sistema sexo/gênero/desejo, que se desmancham diante de modos de subjetivação orientados por potências subversivas criadoras de novos campos possíveis de existencialização. Nessa perspectiva, queremos mostrar que as expressões sexuais e de gêneros das travestis formulam novas questões a respeito dos modelos identitários vigentes, demonstrando que a coerência e a inteligibilidade impostas pelos códigos heteronormativos precisam ser urgentemente revistas, de modo a questionar a respeito da ordem social que apresenta o gênero associado ao sexo reprodutivo, para ressignificar as expressões sexuais, gendradas e subjetivas, em sua processualidade histórica que explode os binarismos, despreza os universais e desmancha o absolutismo da ideia de verdade, enraizados nos sistemas binários de pensamentos sedentários, fechados, universais e a-históricos.

(Des)Compromisso social e sofrimento: o processo de exclusão de travestis e transexuais do interior de São Paulo

Transvestites and transsexualsface everyday intense process of exclusion. The un(un)involvement to those people ethically and politically is a fact and comes from the State and Civil Society. The aims of this article are to analyzehow transgenderexperience their construction of identity in aheteronormative social context; the public health assistance, work and incomepursuit. The methodology used was qualitative action research. The conclusion is that suffering is the result of a process of right’s fight and pursuit for health, assistance and work. The situations of being treated as inferior persons, with no social value are experienced repeatedly.

Transsexuality in the interface with, the gender relationships

Over the past 60 years, the advancement of the sciences, the urbanization process of industrial centers, the mediatical advancement, the new family arrangements, the conquers of sexual minorities: homosexuals, transsexuals, transvestites, among other phenomena, coupled with the emphasis on individualism, and upon obtaining mediatical visibility, have softened the ethos of gender relationships in such a way to insert other approaches to the hegemony of the heteronormativity, whose resonances are present in and through symbolic exchanges with the other being, through which the contemporary subject comprises the subjectivation process.

Travestis, escolas e processos de subjetivação

In this paper, we analyze transvestites’ reports regarding their experiences at schools. It is a cartography that focuses on negative and positive aspects which call to consideration difficulties from the operators of the education in dealing with this population. Such cartography clarifies the urgent need for opening to a broaden debate to increase the educational actions in the perspective of the protection of the Sexual and Human Rights with strategies of inclusion and defense of citizenship. In spite of the transvestites’ difficulties in enduring and concluding their studies, it is possible to locate some schools in which the transvestites can be welcomed and respected in consideration to their personal choices. Thus, it clarifies the lines that composes their subjectivation processes.

Desejos, brasilidades e segredos: o negócio do sexo na relação entre clientela espanhola e travestis brasileiras

The gender ethinicization and the nationality sexualization are aspects that have been discussed in the relationship between Spanish clients and Brazilian transvestites in the brisk sex business in Spain. Sometimes, in these sexual relationships, which are also business relationships, erotic aspects are associated with exoticism that is not related only to nationality or race, but also to new sexual experiences that are more exciting than those considered conventional practices. Hence, the connection between Brazil and the transgender body, made by some Spanish clients, makes sense only when considering the dense sexual grammar involved in those relationships. These signs were structured based on continual colonial attributions, which have been given fresh meaning by the new migration flow resulting from the broad spread of images and insertion of Brazil into the sexual tourism route. Aiming at fully discussing this proposal, this research is based on the queer theory and on other studies in the literature that focus on the poststructuralist and post-colonial sex market.
