The role of pressure in the electrical transport of doped plasticized polyanilines

The behaviour of dc longitudinal and transverse conductivity in self-assembled plastdoped films of polyaniline has been studied over the range of 9 K to 320 K, under different applied mechanical pressures. We observe a progressive evolution of the conductivity picture as the applied pressure is increased, especially in the transverse direction, where the conductivity tends to lower as the pressure is increased. Magnetic field dependent magnetization of a conducting plasticized poly(aniline) film

We report magnetic data of free standing films of poly( aniline) (PANI) protonated with a plasticizing di-ester of succinic acid. The data have been obtained using the electron spin resonance (ESR) technique at two different frequencies, X-band (9.4 GHz) and Q-band ( 34 GHz), on one hand, and by magnetization measurements in broad ranges of temperatures and magnetic fields on the other hand. All the data can be explained assuming a transition as a function of temperature from delocalized magnetic moments in the valence band to localized positive polarons in several antiferromagnetically correlated bands. By increasing the magnetic field, the magnetic properties are affected in several ways. An intra-band admixture of states occurs; it contributes to increase the spins' localization and finally promotes an antiferromagnetic-metamagnetic transition.

Effect of structural anisotropy on electrical and magnetic properties of polyaniline conducting films

It is shown that highly conducting films of polyaniline protonated with di-esters of sulfosuccinic and sulfophthalic acids which contain alkyl- or alkoxy-type substituents exhibit highly anisotropic structural, electrical and magnetic properties. The layered-like structure of these films can be described as consisting of polyaniline chains which are mainly oriented parallel to the plane of the film and form regular out-of-plane stacks. These stacks are separated by bilayers of the dopant anions. Accordingly, the main anisotropy observed for solution cast films implies in-plane and out-of-plane measurements. An electrical anisotropy of about 80 is found for the in-plane and out-of-plane electronic conductivities at 5 K. The temperature dependences of the in-plane and out-of-plane conductivities are qualitatively similar and have been fitted as a series combination of variable-range-hopping-type and power law contributions. A maximum is observed in the temperature dependence of the electrical anisotropy at low temperature. The films also show a clear anisotropy of magnetization whose temperature and field characteristics depend on the chemical structure of the dopant anion. © 2013 Elsevier B.V.

Evidence of weak ferromagnetism in doped plasticized polyaniline (PANI-DDoESSA)0.5 from electron spin resonance measurements

X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements have been performed on a conducting free-standing film of polyaniline plasticized and protonated with di-n-dodecyl ester of sulfosuccinic acid (DDoESSA). The magnetic field was applied parallel and perpendicular to the plane of the film. At around 75 K a transition is observed from Pauli susceptibility to a localized state in which the spin 1/2 polarons behave as spin 1/2 dimers. A rough estimation of the intradimer and interdimer exchange constants is obtained. Below 5 K, ESR data reveal a weak ferromagnetism with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya vector mainly oriented in the plane of the film. The existence of a relatively well-defined n-fold axis along the chain direction in the crystalline regions confers a symmetry compatible with such analysis. © 2013 IOP Publishing Ltd.

A partir de uma definição operacional do gênero, analisa-se o gênero do nome (N), dos modificadores do N (determinante e adjetivo) e dos pronomes (Pron.) No curso dessa análise demonstra-se que o gênero em português é a rigor uma variável sintática determinada pelo valor semântico substantivo (classificador substantivo) do sintagma nominal (SN) ou do nome (N). Ao final, conclui-se que o gênero específico (MASC/FEM) tanto pode ser motivado pela referência atual do SN (matriz gramatical) quanto pela referência virtual do N (matriz lexical).

La Encefalopatía Espongiforme Bovina (EEB) es una enfermedad degenerativa mortal y transmisible del sistema nervioso central del ganado, con largo período de incubación y clínicamente se caracteriza por sintomas nerviosos, la reacción exagerada a los estímulos externos y dificultad locomoción. La EEB es una enfermedad del grupo de las Encefalopatías Espongiformes Transmisibles (EET), y consiste en una enfermedad zoonótica transmitida por comer alimentos contaminados con una proteína llamada príon. Se discute el control de enfermedades, celebrada en la carne de vacuno refrigerada masacre a través de las Material Especificado de Riesgo (MER) que son el cerebro, cráneo, ojos, amígdalas, médula espinal, gânglio del trigémino, gânglios de la raiz dorsal y el íleon distal. Estos organismos pueden contener el agente de la EEB y transmitir la enfermedad. Los controles se basan en la ley brasileña y las normas internacionales que dictan la recogida y destrucción de estos materiales, sino también las normas para la comercialización de productos procedentes de rumiantes, así como la prohibición de alimentar rumiantes com productos de origen animal
