Vidas errantes e alcoolismo: uma questão social

O fenômeno da errância, impulsionado por motivos sócio-econômicos ou mesmo por razões pessoais, traz consigo profundas transformações no plano psicossocial. A presente pesquisa se propôs a investigar as razões que levam os trecheiros à ruptura com a vida sedentária e o papel que o alcoolismo exerce nesse processo de deserção. Foram entrevistados doze sujeitos que fazem uso de bebidas alcoólicas, albergados numa Instituição Assistencial da cidade de Assis, SP, sendo as entrevistas submetidas, posteriormente, a uma análise de conteúdo. Os resultados mostraram que a morte dos pais, os conflitos familiares e o desemprego têm sido um dos principais motivos para a ruptura com o sedentarismo. O uso do álcool, no trecho, é atribuído pelos próprios sujeitos à necessidade de esquecer problema, maior encorajamento e apaziguar conflitos remanescentes, em geral, conflitos afetivos que possuem como epicentro a infidelidade conjugal.

Vidas presas: uma tentativa de compreensão da tragédia da criminalidade junto às suas personagens prisioneiras

Cet article présente une recherche sur les facteurs producteurs de la criminalité réalisée au début de la décennie 80 qui, en s'appuyant sur longs entretiens réalisées avec des prisonnières, a élaboré un ensemble d'hypothèses afin de comprendre les relations constitutives que ce phénomène maintient avec la pauvreté, avec la violence policière/pénitentiaire et avec les propres savoirs par lesquels ses actes et ses auteurs deviennent objet de connaissance. Sa présentation, aujourd'hui, vise deux objectifs: le premier, en hommage et reconnaissance à Sylvia Leser de Mello, est celui d'offrir un simple exemple, parmi tant d'autres, d'une des nombreuses aventures de recherche rendue possible par son orientation. Le second est celui de partager avec des chercheurs qui s'intéressent au même thème une étude qui, polémique et innovatrice à l'époque de sa réalisation, conserve sa pertinence face, actuellement, aux caractéristiques particulièrement graves présentées par les questions abordées.

Artemidia independente: Vidas Imperfeitas, o quadrinho em um diálogo entre linguagem e suporte

The term “independent media art” expresses an artistic-scientific process performed in the Art- Science Communication interface presented as Final Paper in Visual Arts baccalaureate modality. The first part consists in gather, in artisticscientific research, an overview of the production of independent comics, mainly in Brazil, as well as some of the manifestations that were derived from it. The identification is made from bibliographical and iconographical survey, both printed and virtual materials. The second part discusses the production of a comic of my own - Imperfect Lives - published independently. This work is inserted in the line of research “Artistic Processes and Procedures” of the Department of Fine Arts of the Art Institute of UNESP and describes: Creative process, production, dissemination and influences. The third and final section brings together the work done by me during the four-year course, whose theme has some relation with comics. Experiments are in various media, using one or another characteristic intrinsic to them. The monography includes as an appendix a copy of each issue of the fanzine Imperfect Lives. The methodology used was Freinetiana Educational Cybernetics, developed in the research group “Art media and Videoclip”, whose leading advisor is the one from this Final Paper. The result and discussion of the artistic research and scientific monography were reported in the following versions: PDF File repository for dissemination in the virtual library of the Institute of Arts. Cirurgias seguras salvam vidas: aplicação e avaliação do checklist sugerido pela OMS em cirurgias infantis de um hospital escola

The World Health Organization (WHO) has created a program “Safe Surgery Saves Lives”, focusing on reduce and minimize life threatening or cause serious risk to health for patients submitted to a surgery. This primary goal for this presented study is to apply the checklist from the WHO´s program for children´s surgery in a public university hospital, located in the countryside of São Paulo State, Brazil. Having the responses from professionals surgery´s team, there is an opportunity for evaluation of the features and easiest parts, which are filled in a quickly and in a easy way; focus, supporting and assistance; issues, such as lack of time for filling in, and viability of application of this protocol considering the improvement of the cross functions relationship, and quality of services, providing better assistance and support to the patient

This paper revisits the work Vidas Secas, by Graciliano Ramos, in search of a literary analysis, observing the narrative aspects of time, space and characters, from the myth of Sisyphus's perspective, the existentialist philosophy of Sartre and Camus and theory the eternal return of Nietzsche. With the use of these special lenses, intended to show how this work is able to generate the effect of absurdity in the reader, through a narrative construction that brings out the absolute lack of meaning and purpose of those lives, but still, unlike than one would tend to conclude, builds characters who pass by a mere determinism of the environment and act in the world through freedom possible within all disturbing limitations imposed on them

Vidas secas, fourth volume of Graciliano Ramos’s work, has its origins in baleia, a short story written by the author and later interspersed, in a term of six months, in twelve other chapters then created for the novel. This paper deals with aspects of Vidas secas creative process, from the short story to the novel.

Patients' experiences of peritoneal dialysis at home: a phenomenological approach

O objetivo deste estudo foi compreender a experiência da diálise peritoneal domiciliar, a partir da narrativa dos pacientes. A abordagem do estudo inspirou-se na fenomenologia hermenêutica de Paul Ricoeur. Foram entrevistados 19 pacientes na unidade de hemodiálise de um hospital público brasileiro, de março a setembro de 2009. As entrevistas foram orientadas pela questão: descreva sua experiência na diálise peritoneal. Os resultados desvelaram a percepção dos participantes sobre o significado da doença em suas vidas e as drásticas transformações pessoais sofridas nesse processo. Sentimentos de angústia e dor física foram acompanhados por importantes limitações pessoais e sociais, impostas pelo tratamento. Eles esperam por um futuro incerto, reconhecendo sua dependência da ajuda dos familiares e dos profissionais da saúde. Os resultados desvelam as dificuldades e a falta de perspectivas vividas pelos pacientes em diálise, demonstrando o papel crucial que cabe aos profissionais que os acompanham. Ajudá-los a desenvolver o autocuidado e maximizar sua qualidade de vida é prioridade na assistência a esses pacientes.
