SU(5)circle times Z(13) grand unification model

We propose an SU(5) grand unified model with an invisible axion and the unification of the three coupling constants which is in agreement with the values, at M(Z), of alpha, alpha(s), and sin(2)theta(W). A discrete, anomalous, Z(13) symmetry implies that the Peccei-Quinn symmetry is an automatic symmetry of the classical Lagrangian protecting, at the same time, the invisible axion against possible semiclassical gravity effects. Although the unification scale is of the order of the Peccei-Quinn scale the proton is stabilized by the fact that in this model the standard model fields form the SU(5) multiplets completed by new exotic fields and, also, because it is protected by the Z(13) symmetry.

The question that leads this article is What is this virtual space in the on-line mathematics education process? We focus on the question of the real and virtual as issues taken as components of cyberspace. We investigate these notions in the history of philosophy, looking to Granger to find their meaning, to enable us to understand them and fit them into the sphere of Mathematics Education. This theoretical-philosophical article, then, claims that the virtuality of cyberspace is supported by the computer screen, built by the unification of the sciences (mathematics), technology and its applications. Software and the actions taken by Internet users update the capability of these programs in a variety of characteristics and possibilities such as space-time flow interconnections as well as during the mathematics education process.

In this work, studies aimed at evaluating the unification of concepts and theorems of vector analysis that contributed to the understanding of physical problems in a more comprehensive and more concise than using vector calculus. We study the electrodinamics with differential forms. Were also presented Maxwell's relations with formalism of differential forms in addition allowing formulation one more geometric and generalized. Another feature observed during the study of formalism presented was the possibility of it serving as a substitute to the tensor formalism

Territorialização da empresa Vale S. A: populações atingidas e conflitos sócio-espaciais

The projects of the company Vale SA territorialization triggers a series of territorial determinations on local populations. This process denotes a situation of sociospatial conflicts between the affected people and the company, which occur in the material and symbolical scope. In the expansion of these conflicts is established the International Articulation of those Affected by Vale and the “Movimento de Soberania Popular Frente a Mineração” (MAM) which aims to promote communication and unification of the struggles between different social movements and populations on confrontation with the company. This project aims to examine how these conflicts are established in projects relating to mining operations in Brazil. Effects of propolis from Brazil and Bulgaria on fungicidal activity of macrophages against Paracoccidioides brasiliensis

Paracoccidioidomycosis is the most important systemic mycosis in Latin America. Its etiological agent, Paracoccidoides brasiliensis, affects individuals living in endemic areas through inhalation of airborne conidia or mycelial fragments. The disease may affect different organs and systems, with multiple clinical features, with cell-mediated immunity playing a significant role in host defence. Peritoneal macrophages from BALB/c mice were stimulated with Brazilian or Bulgarian propolis and subsequently challenged with P, brasiliensis. Data suggest an increase in the fungicidal activity of macrophages by propolis stimulation, independently from its geographic origin, (C) 2002 Elsevier B.V. Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
