Effects of the thyristor controlled serie capacitor on the electric power system

This work deals with the effects of the series compensation on the electric power system for small-signal stability studies. Therefore, the system is modeled admitting the existence of the compensation and then, the equations are linearized and a linear model is obtained for a single machine-infinite bus power system with a compensator installed. The resulting model with nine defined constants is very similar to the Heffron & Phillips linear model widely used on the existent literature. Finally, simulations are executed for an example system, to analyze the behavior of these constants when loading the system. �� 2004 IEEE.

Desafios da comunica����o interna em departamentos de jornalismo

This paper focuses on the importance of internal communication within the journalism departments of regional Brazilian open television networks. This research shows that these professionals recognized that communication can improve relationship among staff and journalistic performance. However, just one of the companies researched invests in internal communication management. The present study also reveals many challenges which influence internal communication, relationship, and the journalistic work in these companies, such as: lean teams, interferences from other areas in the journalistic writing, lack of formal network of communication, competition among members of the team, the journalist's professional profile, need for shared leadership and internal communication policies and information management.

Considera����es sobre os estudos de audi��ncia televisiva: a experi��ncia dos estudos culturais brit��nicos

The purpose of this study is to present the audiences��� perspectives at the cultural Britannic���s view. It presents a bibliographical discussion about the mass medium communication and the audience���s purpose at the studies of the culturalist chain (flow). Additionally, it emphasizes the cultural studies��� contribution, at a particular point of view, about the audiences��� cultural practices when proposing the analyses and reflections on the basis of the relationship among culture, society and history.

Para al��m da fidelidade na adapta����o audiovisual: o caso da miniss��rie televisiva Capitu

Despite the theoretical advances that have discredited the notion of ���faithfulness��� regarding the adaptation as an intermediatic phenomenon, it still insists on coming up. Capitu, a mini-series shown by the Rede Globo network has been regarded as ���unfaithful��� to the novel Dom Casmurro. It is a perfect example for this article of the perception of the audiovisual language resources that work as valid analogies to Machado de Assis��� novel, indicating the misconception that underlies the notion of ���faithfulness���.

O presente trabalho investiga a adequa����o para a recep����o por demanda da estrutura da fic����o seriada televisiva, matriz concebida para a veicula����o em fluxo dentro da l��gica da grade de programa����o. Centrando no gancho e repeti����o narrativa, foram realizados estudos de cena em Mckee (2006) e aplicadas as fun����es das personagens de Propp (1986) no corpus: A Grande Fam��lia, Duas Caras e Filhos do Carnaval. Em seguida, simulou-se a sua recep����o por demanda e fluxo.
