O projeto para o pavilhão brasileiro na expo' 92 em sevilha e a chamada arquitetura paulista

This article discusses the controversy surrounding the winning project of the competition organized by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Brazilian pavilion at the Expo'92 in Seville, Spain; the views of architecture critics made at the time of the results, and, their implications for Brazilian architecture. At the beginning of the 90s, this competition was a kind of confrontation of ideas, between the architects who were in favour of a renewal of architecture and those who defended the resumption of national architectural traditions, buildings with large spans, constructed in reinforced concrete. These architects were the heirs of the so called Paulista architecture, which was characterised by the work undertaken from the 60's by important architects such as Vilanova Artigas and Paulo Mendes da Rocha. The modern references adopted by the winning project, from the architects Angelo Bucci, Alvaro Puntoni and José Oswaldo Vilela, sparked controversies because of the difficulty of resuming the teachings of the old modern masters when faced with new times. These controversies were related to the end of the military dictatorship in Brazil and the process of opening markets, and by the relevance of a re-evaluation of the so-called Paulista architecture.

In this paper we discussed the possibility of installing a photovoltaic panel in a house in order to reduce electrical consumption. Brazil is a country with a huge solar resource and photovoltaic technology allows transforming solar energy into electricity, helping to decentralize energy production. To enlarge the field of view, the study compares with the equivalent in a Spanish city, discussing how the law favors the initiative of using this type of energy. It will be seen that, with the encouragement of the government, the project can be done because the installation is amortized over a reasonable period of time, about eight years in Spain and three in Brazil

This paper aims to present a survey of Journalism students from UNESP (Brazil) and from the University of Seville (Spain) which gathered data to assess the perception of the influence of the media on political decisions in this segment. Through empirical research - qualitative and quantitative – was observed, as a result, that digital media is still gaining ground in political campaigns and the effectiveness of actions organized through on line universe which are beginning to be proven, from the perspective of students. Plasmacytoma in the oral cavity: a case report

The plasma cell neoplasms may present in soft tissue as extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP), in bone as a solitary plasmacytoma of bone (SPB), or as part of the multifocal disseminated disease multiple myeloma (MM). The EMP is rare, comprising around 3% of all plasma cell neoplasm. The majority (80%) occurs in the head and neck region. In this study we report a case of a man, 70 years old, melanoderm, with a lesion of the oral cavity. Upon physical examination, a lesion was found that extended throughout the posterior upper alveolar ridge, as far as the maxillary tuber on the left side, extending towards the palate. Radiographic examination, complementary laboratory exams were performed. Based on the conclusive symptoms of plasmacytoma, the patient was referred to the hematology service for treatment with local radiotherapy. The patient responded satisfactorily to the treatment, and after 15 months, all clinical symptoms of the lesion in the oral cavity had disappeared.

In this article we’ll study the case of “Programa Universitario para Mayores” (University Program for the Grown ups), at Seville University (Spain).

A interculturalidade no ensino-aprendizagem em relações públicas: contribuições a partir de uma parceria internacional

This paper presents the aspects of an intercultural experience relative to the international partnership of teachingapprenticeship in public relations between the São Paulo State University (Brazil) and the University of Sevilla (Spain). The purpose is of reflecting on the interculturality and its importance for the graduation in public relations, presenting results of this academic experience. To this end, we seek to describe the partnership, discuss the influences of this teachingapprenticeship process and its intercultural experience.
