Nutritive value of high and low tanin content of sorghum high moisture silage for horses

Foram utilizados oito cavalos castrados sem raça definida em delineamento inteiramente casualizado. O objetivo foi determinar o valor nutritivo das silagens de grãos de sorgo de baixo (SBT) e alto (SAT) teores de tanino na alimentação de equinos. Os tratamentos consistiram de duas dietas-teste compostas pelos grãos de sorgo ensilados (SBT e SAT), substituindo em 30% a MS da dieta-referência, constituída exclusivamente por feno. Os valores de digestibilidade dos nutrientes dos SBT e SAT apresentaram diferenças nos CDMS, CDMO, CDEB, CDPB e CDAmido em que SAT foi inferior (p < 0,05) para todos os parâmetros, em que os valores médios foram de, respectivamente, 79,53, 84,54, 79,36, 76,11 e 100% para SBT e 60,29, 64,47, 59,38, 44,63 e 97,06% para SAT. Concluiu-se que a utilização do SBT é promissora na nutrição de equinos, tornando-se alimento alternativo nas formulações de rações.

Filmes finos de SrBi2Ta2O9 processados em forno microondas

Filmes finos de SrBi2Ta2O9 foram depositados em substratos de Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si e, pela primeira vez, sinterizados em forno microondas doméstico. Os padrões de difração de raios X mostraram que os filmes são policristalinos. O processamento por microondas permite utilizar baixa temperatura na síntese e obter filmes com boas propriedades elétricas. Ensaios de microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) e de Força Atômica (MFA) revelam boa aderência entre filme e substrato, com microestrutura de superfície apresentando grãos finos e esféricos e rugosidade de 4,7 nm. A constante dielétrica e o fator de dissipação, para freqüência de 100 KHz, à temperatura ambiente, foram de 77 e 0,04, respectivamente. A polarização remanescente (2Pr) e o campo coercitivo (Ec) foram 1,04 miC/cm² e 33 kV/cm. O comportamento da densidade de corrente de fuga revela três mecanismos de condução: linear, ôhmico e outro mecanismo que pode ser atribuído à corrente de Schottky. Dos padrões de DRX, análises das imagens por MEV e topografia de superfície por MFA observa-se que 10 min de tratamento térmico a 550 ºC, em forno microondas, é tempo suficiente para se obter a cristalização do filme.

SrBi2Ta2O9 ferroelectric thick films prepared by electrophoretic deposition using aqueous suspension

SrBi2Ta2O9 ferroelectric thick films were prepared by electrophoretic deposition (EPD). For that, ceramic powders were prepared by chemical method in order to obtain compounds with chemical homogeneity. The polymeric precursor method was used for the synthesis of the SrBi2Ta2O9 powder. The crystallographic structure of the powder was examined by X-ray diffraction, and the surface area was determined by single point BET adsorption. The 0.03 vol.% suspension was formed by dispersing the powder in water using two different polymers as dispersants: an ester polyphosphate (C213) and an ammonium polyacrilate (Darvan 821-A). It was investigated the influence of the different dispersants in the surface properties of the powder by zeta potential measurements. The films were deposited on platinum-coated alumina and Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by a 4 mA constant current, for 10 min, using two parallel electrodes placed at a separation distance of 3 min in the suspension. Several cycles of deposition-drying of the deposit were carried out until reaching the desired thickness. After thermal treatment at temperatures ranging from 700 to 1000 degreesC, the films were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy for the microstructure observation. Simulation and analysis of a collisionless optical interconnection network

This article describes the simulation and analysis of collisionless optical interconnection network, which the objective is to achieve a high performance level based on a single protocol control. The optical coupler has one shared control channel and N communication channels. Each network node two communication modules one for packet transmission/reception and another for control channel access. We show by simulation that system achieves a high performance and ensures high scalability.

Low temperature crystallization of SrBi2Ta2O9 thin films using microwave oven

SrBi2Ta2O9 thin films, produced by the polymeric precursor method, were crystallized at low temperature using a domestic microwave oven. A SiC susceptor were used to absorb the microwave energy and rapidly transfer the heat to the film. Low microwave power and short time have been used. The films thus obtained are crack-free, well-adhered, and fully crystallized, even when treated at 600 degreesC for 10 min. The microstructure displayed a polycrystalline nature with an elongate grain size comparable to the films obtained by the conventional treatment. The dielectric constant values are 240, 159 and 67, for the films treated at 600 degreesC, 650 degreesC and 700 degreesC, respectively, when the films are placed directly on the SiC susceptor. Electrical measurements revealed that the increase of the temperature treatment to 700 degreesC causes a complete loss of ferroelectricity due to degradation of the bottom interface. A 4 nun-ceramic wool put between the susceptor and the substrate minimizes the interface degradation leading to a dielectric constant, a dielectric loss, and a remnant polarization (2P(r)) of 181 muC/cm(2), 0.032 muC/cm(2), and 12.8 muC/cm(2), respectively, for a film treated at 750 degreesC for 20 min. A notícia cômica: um novo formato de construir a opinião pública

This paper focuses on the discussion of journalistic genres, more specifically on the comic journalism, in other words, when using humor as a tool to transmit information. Supported by the definitions proposed by José Marques de Melo (2003), based on the theories of journalism presented by Nelson Traquina (2005) and Felipe Pena (2005) and relying on the teachings of Jorge Halperín (2008) and Rafael Yanes (2004) about interview techniques, this research aimed to analyze the humor as a legitimate resource and collaborator in journalism performance. For this, we analyzed, in detail, six different frames of interviews of program The Noite with Danilo Gentili, which is broadcasted from Monday to Friday by the Brazilian Television System, SBT. In this analysis, we considered the contente of interviews, the technique and the resources used by the presenter and his team, the journalistic relevance of topics and guests and the reach of the general public to information

Uma das faces mais obscuras deste país: a prostituição pautada pelo conexão repórter

This Project proposes a study of three documentaries about prostitution produced by a television program, Conexão Repórter (http://www.sbt.com.br/conexaoreporter/). These Journalistic Productions were chosen because they are episodes of a high-visibility program which purpose is to show the backstage of news. The study is based on social-anthropological productions about gender and sexuality, besides national and international literature about the subject. The analyses are completed with contributions from Journalism Theories, like Framing and Agenda-Setting. The studies developed by Michel Foucault on the historic aspect of sexuality will also be useful to support the ideas presented throughout the project. The goal is to analyze the construction of narratives about prostitution in all productions, taking as initial hypotheses that documentaries continue to reproduce stereotypes about the subject and, especially, what is the reason for such reproduction. The research seeks answers about journalist's challenges approaching prostitution. Starting from the hypothesis that the episodes in the study approach prostitution based on stereotypes, which other possible ways there may be to address the subject on TV documentaries? The goal is to relate the plots constructed by the reporting team with the theory in order to analyze discourses about the issue
