This work focused on research a course of continuing education for teachers of Physical Education, offered in a city of São Paulo in 2013. Adopting as a benchmark analysis of models of continuing education in teaching, investigative question that guided this study was: what are the implications of this formative process in the formation and performance of the participating teachers?. With this guiding question, four were the objectives we seek to respond to this analysis: first identify the profile of teachers as well as the participation and involvement of the same course developed; 2 map and analyze the manifestations of teachers throughout the course; 3 reflect on the role of teachers in relation to approaches and/or distances with the common physical education curriculum proposed by the municipality; 4 identify and analyze the reflections on the course conducted. The methodological approach was qualitative and eighteen participants were teachers of a school system in a city of São Paulo, active in cycle I (1 to 5 years) of primary school. Data collection was carried out in two phases, with the participants in the first stage seventeen teachers and three teachers in the second stage that in addition to acting in the cycle I also actively participated in the course. Data were obtained in phase one using a diagnostic interview recorded on voice recorder and transcripts of observations and recorded in video and voice recorder from sixteen meetings of the continuing education course conducted in 2013 and phase two included the observation of classes teachers in the 2nd half of 2013, ending with a final interview. Demonstrations of physical education teachers in the course, as well as the situations observed and interviews indicated that on the profile of teachers are in the age range 30-58 years to serve at least five years in schools and most (10) does not work elsewhere. The aim of this study was to verify the adherence of participants in a program of physical activity; and to verify if there is any association between the age, Body Mass Index and General Functional Fitness Index with this adherence. It was used the control of frequency for 62 months and data of the anthropometric and functional evaluations of 122 participants (58 + 9 years). 49.2% of the participants gave the program up and 50.8% remained to it. The average of permanence time was 24 + 17 months. The percentage of the adherence of people with satisfactory fitness is greater than with not satisfactory fitness. The percentage of adherence of older people is larger than younger age. The percentage of adherence of not-obese is greater than of obese. However, none of these variables presented statistical difference. It can be concluded that even though there was adherence with similar results even to permanence as to desistance, the time of permanence in the program was very high when compared to other studies.

A proposta deste livro - desenvolvido dentro do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Motricidade do Instituto de Biociências da Unesp, campus de Rio Claro - é discutir o currículo da formação inicial de professores da área de Educação Física. Os autores também procuraram averiguar como os processos de avaliação estão presentes nas perspectivas dos professores e nos currículos de cada curso de licenciatura, como Ciências Biológicas, Educação Física, Física, Geografia, Matemática e Pedagogia, assim como nas salas de aula. Na busca dessas respostas, o caminho escolhido foi a pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, à maneira do construcionismo social, usando como técnicas de coleta de dados a análise documental e a entrevista semiestruturada. O texto foi dividido em três partes, complementadas por uma seção de considerações finais. No primeiro bloco é contemplada principalmente a origem do problema investigado - a formação básica dos professores de Educação Física - e as razões de ele ter sido colocado em discussão. O segundo bloco é dedicado à montagem de um quadro teórico e conceitual da questão e no terceiro são elucidados e debatidos os resultados encontrados

The paper aims to describe the steps undertaken in the development of a training program to prepare the physical education teacher to meet the demand of inclusion of students with disabilities. Seventeen physical education teachers who worked in public schools, from 1st to 5th grade, participated in the first step. The Data were collected through focus group. The analysis was performed in categories. Two teachers participated in Stage 2, which consists of 28 classes that there was a student with disabilities enrolled. The reports focus group identified eight different subcategories of difficulties: 1 ) Training , 2) Administrative-school issue ; 3 ) Student ; 4 ) Diagnosis ; 5 ) Family ; 6 ) Teaching resource ; 7 ) Strategies ; 8 ) Physical Education. The filming analysis enabled to identify difficulties and success situations of each teacher. The identification of the difficulties pointed out ways to prepare Physical Education teachers, and based on such difficulties actionsand contents that include a training program may be stipulated.

Exergames are a new educational tool, and have been used by teachers in physical education classes because it is an activity that provides entertainment and caloric expenditure. The goal of this study was to verify the opinion of students in an elementary school class on a program of adapted physical activity using the videogame, developed during physical education classes. Study participants were students in a fourth-grade elementary school class that had a student with disability. The researcher and the Physical Education teacher elaborated the planning program of an adapted physical activity with the use of videogames. The classes were recorded in a log book and group interviews were conducted at the end of each class. The results showed that the classes were nice, fun and interesting experiences. The study concluded that the program was successful.
