The financial health of a family is one of the main generators of quality of life, and this is only possible through financial planning, which is nothing more than save and analyze before contracting debts. To do this, students must have notion of financial mathematics, especially of that used by the banks on overdraft interest, in investments and in the short-term and longterm loans, that is, compound interest, equivalent rates, depreciation and others. Starting from the knowledge of arithmetic and geometric progressions and, based on real situations which allow the application of the content learned, one intends to develop activities applied to high education. To start from real situations is one of the main lines of thought of the Problem Solving Methodology, in which the student is the active agent in the construction of his or her knowledge. As the National Curricular Parameters point out, the practice in the use of computers is essential for gaining a job. Therefore, this project proposes an activity where knowledge of Financial Mathematics can to be practiced, associated with the use of Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet

One of the main challenges in the mining sector at present, related to the optimization of mineral assets, consists in to find the best proportion of each geological material to be mined and homogenized to ensure high productivity and stability in ore processing plants. The stability of a mineral processing plant is factor for achieving operational excellence, as a stable performance of the plants ensures economy and adherence to financial planning businesses. Is already well Know that the feed rate of the processing plants is dependent on the hardness and quality of the ore. Therefore, the ore behavior predictability is the solution to ensure the stability of mineral processing plants. This work was developed in Anglo American Phosphate Brazil Ltda., at the Fazenda Chapadão Phosphate Mine, located in the southeastern portion of the state of Goiás, in the municipalities of Catalão and Ouvidor. The phosphate ore is the result of supergene apatite concentration in the weathering profile of the alkaline ultramafic phlogopitized rocks, intruded by foscoritic and carbonatitic rocks series. The weathering profile has about 100 meters thick and is divided into three basic types, from top to bottom, coinciding with decreasing intensity of weathering: oxidized ore, micaceous ore and weathered rock. In each portion of this weathering profile, mainly near the contacts between these three divisions, are hard materials, cemented by minerals such as apatite, quartz, goethite, monazite and barite. The different features presented by these materials makes to be vital the correct identification, quantification and location of different hard materials in the mine area, to maximize its use. The main objective of this study was to define the type of cementation of hard materials which predominates in each portion of the weathering profile in the mine, as well as their relationship with the protolith. O presente trabalho analisa criticamente o Projeto de “Requalificação Urbana Nova Luz”, localizado no bairro de Santa Ifigênia em São Paulo, iniciado no ano de 2005 e atualmente em curso. A área abrangida pelo projeto tem aproximadamente 362 mil metros quadrados, é circunscrita pelas ruas Mauá, Av. Cásper Líbero, Av. Ipiranga, Av. São João e Av. Duque de Caxias. Na abordagem inicial colocada pelo projeto emerge o Planejamento Estratégico com um programa cultural e principal motivador de retorno financeiro aos setores imobiliários e de requalificação urbana. Neste cenário, políticas de revitalização são associadas a programas de promoção cultural de museus e monumentos arquitetônicos, recriando uma nova imagem da cidade. Em diversas literaturas a respeito dos programas de revitalização em áreas centrais, é apontado com freqüência - como resultado desses processos - o surgimento do fenômeno de gentrificação, que implica numa substituição dos antigos moradores dessas áreas por outros com maior poder aquisitivo. Essa dinâmica de produção de um espaço revitalizado é geralmente amparada por flexibilizações de Leis e Instrumentos Urbanísticos, bem como financiamentos de agências multilaterais que fixam parâmetros e exigências para liberação dos recursos

Gerenciamento na construção civil - planejamento e controle: estudo de caso no planejamento físico de um empreendimento imobiliário

Given the high competitiveness in the construction industry, businesses became necessary in a management which reduce costs and delivery times, and is fundamental to running a compatible planning with the magnitude of each work order is the same make feasible the executor. When it comes to planning, one is including both the physical planning of the work, time and duration of the events, as well as the preparation of the cost thereof. This paper shows a case study which uses some ways to the management be held with the course of planning, medium and short term, as well as the preparation of the initial budget of the work. Estabelecimento de condições para ensaio de dissolução de cápsulas de cinarizina empregando planejamento fatorial

This work describes the establishment of dissolution test conditions for 75 mg cinnarizine capsules using a multivariate approach. A 2³ full factorial design was carried out to achieve the best conditions and HCl 0.1 mol L-1 as dissolution medium, basket as apparatus at 100 rpm and collect time at 30 min were considered adequate. The quantification was carried out by spectrophotometry at 251 nm. Both dissolution procedure and analytical method were validated and all parameters were within the acceptable limits. Since there is no official monograph for this pharmaceutical product, this dissolution test could be applied for quality control routine.
