Saúde bucal: uma revisão crítica sobre programações educativas para escolares

Em saúde bucal, a situação epidemiológica brasileira ainda é grave devido às condições sociais e econômicas da população, à pequena parcela de investimentos que a área recebe em relação ao total do SUS e à falta de informação sobre os cuidados básicos de saúde. Embora a odontologia se mostre muito desenvolvida em tecnologia, não responde em níveis significativos às demandas dos problemas de saúde bucal da população. Nesse contexto, a educação em saúde bucal tem sido cada vez mais requisitada, considerando o baixo custo e as possibilidades de impacto odontológico no âmbito público e coletivo. A importância de práticas preventivas e educativas em saúde bucal nos levou a realizar este estudo, apontando diferentes programas odontológicos, mediante estudo de revisão, para analisá-los em suas propostas, metodologias, possibilidades e limitações, visando refletir sobre o tema com foco nos aspectos educativos que ainda desafiam os programas de saúde bucal. Identificaram-se quatro tendências nos programas analisados. O estudo apontou para a necessidade de se repensar as práticas educativas.

A Biblioteca Pública do Maranhão como instituição educacional

Neste trabalho, apresenta-se a descrição histórica da Biblioteca Pública do Maranhão. Aborda-se a situação econômica, política e social vivenciada no estado, no século XIX, que contribuiu para a sua criação e expõem-se, ainda, os fatores que condicionaram a sua falência e o seu ressurgimento no início da Primeira República, marcada pela identidade sociocultural progressista. Além disso, pontuam-se os principais aspectos educativos existentes na biblioteca, na gestão de Antônio Lobo. O método empregado se caracteriza como histórico-descritivo, baseando-se, principalmente, na análise e na descrição dos Relatórios Presidenciais do Maranhão, referentes ao século XIX e início do XX. Desta forma, o estudo constatou que a história da biblioteca do Maranhão foi marcada pelas dificuldades relacionadas, especialmente, à falta de interesse dos governantes em proporcionar condições necessárias para a promoção da cultura.

Saúde bucal nas escolas: relato de experiência

The need for a closer contact between students and the community reality, as well as, the necessity of providing an education that can result in social changes early in life were crucial for the development of the Extension Project : Oral Health Education, which was developed in Public Child Care Schools in Araçatuba. The aim of this article is to describe the project, emphasizing its educational aspects and to share this experience in order to allow for reflection about this practice.

Dançando o ritmo do preconceito: uma análise do estido waacking com o enfoque no sexo masculino

This study did a literature review to contextualize and detail reach the story and how it perpetuates in practice the dance style Waacking, sought the understanding of how the body is inserted in our society, made notes on the Sport Psychology regarding the topic fear and shame, and pledged to address the conflicting issues of gender and sexuality, to then be possible to develop what has been objectified. This study sought to establish whether there are national publications on the Waacking dance style and what their contributions to the Brazilian context, verifying the presence of stereotypes and prejudices to males in it are inserted. As used method, the survey was conducted in online databases having the following sites as a source of scientific academic content to nationwide: Google Scholar (like the filter to search only in Portuguese language - as the focus of the research is to gather national publications); Journals Portal CAPES / MEC; and SciELO - (Scientific Electronic Library Online). Ambientes educativos e conhecimento social: um estudo sobre as representações de escola

Este artigo apresenta parte de uma pesquisa sobre a construção do conhecimento social fundamentada na teoria piagetiana. Os dados analisados referem-se às ideias de crianças entre 7 e 8 anos a respeito da escola. Os sujeitos foram alunos de duas classes de primeira série: uma considerada ambiente tradicional e a outra considerada ambiente sócio-moral construtivista. Os dados obtidos sofreram análise qualitativa e quantitativa e as respostas dos sujeitos foram comparadas, com a finalidade de descobrir possíveis diferenças naquilo que as crianças pensam em função do ambiente escolar do qual participam. Os resultados demonstraram que as crianças não possuem compreensão real da função da escola e que houve diferença significativa em função do ambiente escolar pesquisado, especificamente em relação à compreensão que os sujeitos apresentam das razões para a existência de uma escola e das caracterizações de uma escola boa e uma escola ruim. Dessa forma, as crianças inseridas no ambiente tradicional consideram que para a existência de uma escola é necessário somente aspectos materiais; já aquelas inseridas no ambiente sócio-moral construtivista consideram a necessidade de outros elementos, tais como as pessoas. As crianças inseridas no ambiente considerado construtivista também apontam aspectos subjetivos e referentes a comportamentos considerados adequados para a caracterização de uma boa escola, o que não ocorre com os alunos do ambiente tradicional.

Influência de procedimentos educativos sobre os conceitos de berçários

The duality care-education is an aspect to be considered in the routine of childhood education institutions that have a nursery. The concepts of professionals who work in the nursery interfere with the developed practice, and require great concern regarding the continuing education. The objective of this study was to verify the effects of educational procedures on the concepts related to functions and benefi ts of the nursery for the child – from the professionals who work in a childhood education institution. These professionals were teachers and development assistants from municipal nurseries of Marília, interviewed four times – initially, after each of the two rearing procedures, and six months after the procedures. These procedures consisted of educational workshops, once a week, for one month, and 15 hours of supervised practices in the nursery. Both practices focused on the activities and their benefi ts to the child’s development. We found that the educators’ knowledge comes from common sense, and that educational workshops provided changes on their information levels, which were strengthened by supervised practice. The analysis indicates that the initial and continuing education of professionals need to consider specifi c aspects of child development, so more adequate concepts are built.

A internet como ferramenta de mediação no acervo artístico-cultural dos Palácios do Governo do Estado de São Paulo

This research focuses on methods and strategies for educational-based digital tools, aimed at the public school. Thus, we present possibilities, and the main actions of the national museum institutions in several online educational services that exemplify some forms of virtual mediation in order to verify the relevance of using these tools. The study discusses the need for museums to follow the advance of new technologies to engage and retain the public school, consisting of a highly connected generation with new technologies. It also brings a brief overview of the evolution of the museum in the Western world and presents the formation and nature of art collections that comprise the Artistic-Cultural Collection of the Governmental Palaces of the State of São Paulo, focusing on the management policy of each period, highlighting the educational program and the relationship with the website. As a practical exercise, the research presented suggests applying a form of mediation for the virtual site of Artistic-Cultural Collection of the Governmental Palaces to extend relations sector educational institution for the virtual context

Percepção e atitudes de pedagogos sobre aspectos relevantes do uso de escovas dentárias

Objective: To evaluate the perception and attitude of kindergarten teachers in relation to the storage of toothbrushes. Methodology: The analysis instrument used was a structured and previously validated questionnaire. The sample universe of this study was composed of all states and municipals kindergarten school teachers who taught in school year of 2010 at the town of Araçatuba / SP (n = 232). The criteria used to integrate the study were: to have a college degree and agree to participate. Results: 164 teachers participated of the study. The results were analyzed using Epi Info 6.04 and showed that 55% of the teachers had received some information about the proper storage of toothbrushes, and only 35% believed that the toothbrushes were storaged improperly. Most teachers, 97% reported being possible the transmission of microorganisms through the brush, however, there was observed difficulty in identifying which diseases could be transmitted. About the question related to the execute of supervised toothbrushing, 93% of the educators said that they realize supervised toothbrushing and the same percentage was observed for the identification of preschoolers at the toothbrushes. Conclusions: The perception and attitude of the teachers ahead the storage of toothbrushes are weak and limited, so there is a need for educational programs targeted to this group, so that they would have more information and knowledge related to the correct storage of toothbrushes and would continue to perform oral health preventive methods.
