Fundamentals of Theoretical Ecology and the principles governing ecosystems are discussed in relation to the anthropological concept of culture. These principles have been formed along with the development of Ecology and the advancement of other sciences not necessarily biologically based, such as Mathematics and Physics. A deeper understanding of Ecology in interdisciplinary projects is important because it is both a holistic Science, encompassing several disciplines of the field of knowledge, as a Science, whose principles can be applied to any other science. Its origin and evolution differ from modern sciences that emerged from Renaissance, because, taking place at the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, developing itself along with the theories of systemic thinking at the beginning of this century, Ecology inspired this new thinking, culminating with the emergence of General Systems Theory in search of a "transdisciplinar" unification proposed by today's New Science. By applying the System Theory to the analysis of the behaviors of the individual and of the group, it is possible to approach the Agrarian Reform in a more comprehensive way.

Multidisciplinary approach for the aesthetic treatment of maxillary lateral incisors agenesis: thinking about implants?

Missing maxillary lateral incisors create an esthetic problem with specific orthodontic and prosthetic considerations. Implants are commonly used to replace congenitally missing lateral incisors in adolescent orthodontic patients. However, an interdisciplinary approach should be observed during the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan to provide a result with good predictability and meet the esthetic and functional expectations of the patient. The present study describes a case of a young patient with tooth agenesis of maxillary lateral incisors, which was conducted with an integrated planning. After 5-year follow-up of 2 fixed implant-supported prostheses, clinical and radiographic examination showed the treatment to be successful. Metodologias de Inovação: Soluções da TRIZ aplicadas em um ambiente design thinking

This work discusses the theories of TRIZ and Design Thinking, as well as the association of the two theories by a tool for the application of TRIZ in a Design Thinking environment. This work proposes the association of the theories by an easy and systematic method constituted by a step by step process. The objective of this work is to create a method that facilitates the application of the two innovation theories helping the inventors to develop new products without the necessity of being creative people. By the end of the work is shown the research case accomplished as an empirical analysis of this tool that can be a fast and efficient method to solve inventive problems focused in the expectations and necessities of the clients
