Distribuição e abundância de larvas de Simulium spp.em córregos do estado de São Paulo nos diferentes níveis de qualidade da água

The aim of this work was to determine the distribution and abundance the species of Simulium: in 5 streams of the north coastal region of the state of São Paulo. Simulium larval and water samples were collected every 2 weeks in summer and winter, 2001. The larval were collected on artificial substrates (triplicate) preserved in alcohol (70%) and after analyzed quantitative and qualitative. From the streams the values of temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH and stream discharge were measured. The contents of total nitrogen and dissolved nitrogen, ammoniacal nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite, orthophosphate, dissolved phosphorus and total phosphorus were determined in the laboratory. Water quality has great influence in the distribution and abundance of the species. S. pertinax was more abundant in streams without or with low levels of pollution, S. inaequale in streams more polluted and S. incrustatum in intermediary levels of pollution. S. pertinax was the species more abundant with 57.5% of presence in the samples, the second more abundant was S. inaequale with 42.1% of presence and S. incrustatum was rare with 0.4% of presence. São Paulo 2012: Um sonho, um projeto, uma visão

Millennia ago, through the myths of greeks gods and demi-gods, comes a series of celebrations called Pan-Hellenic Games. Among these festivals, the most famous was certainly the Olympic Games - the Olympics. Forbidden by Rome in the third century AD, they are considered to worship the pagan gods, were rescued in 1894 by Pierre de Coubertin. Over 113 years and 29 Olympiads, the event took gigantic proportions and the right to host the Games has become one of the closest racing of the modern world. Catalyst for urban development, the Olympic Games were the subject of dream for the city of Sao Paulo in the 2000’s, and an internal dispute was fought with Rio de Janeiro to get the right to host the 2012 Games. A team of Paulo Mendes da Rocha and associates was responsible for designing the plan. Eliminated from contention, Sao Paulo forgot the Olympic dream, and in October 2009 the city of Rio was finally chosen to host the Olympics in 2016. This project aims to rescue the look of architectural and urban plan Sao Paulo 2012 and with a critical and poetic eye create a visual identity for a fictitious victory in the election of São Paulo in 2003. Not aiming to create a corporate identity program - because this is not the mission of the architect - but look at Sao Paulo and the Olympics with poetry and criticism in the true Olympic spirit of peace and hope.

This paper analyzes the communication strategy of the Brazilian Rugby Confederation in the promotion of sport in the country, with three television campaigns developed since 2010 together with manufacturer Topper. One of the goals of the organization is to make the sport better known among the Brazilian public, with a view to inclusion of rugby in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Very popular in countries colonized by Britain, the sport still has little visibility in the national sports scene, something to be transformed in organizational communication and advertising.
