Efeitos genotóxicos em profissionais expostos aos anestésicos inalatórios

JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: Neste estudo compararam-se médicos expostos aos gases anestésicos com indivíduos não expostos, para a investigação de alterações cromossômicas, verificação da possível interferência dos anestésicos inalatórios na cinética celular e avaliação do risco genotóxico associado à exposição ocupacional. MÉTODO: Foram realizadas culturas temporárias de linfócitos do sangue periférico para a obtenção de metáfases, necessárias para a análise de aberrações cromossômicas e trocas entre cromátides irmãs. RESULTADOS: A análise citogenética mostrou um aumento nas freqüências de aberrações cromossômicas por célula no grupo exposto, quando comparado ao grupo controle, denotando o efeito clastogênico desses compostos. Com relação ao parâmetro de trocas entre cromátides irmãs, os gases anestésicos não demonstraram efeito indutor. A comparação entre os índices mitótico e de proliferação celular também mostrou que não há diferenças significativas entre os grupos exposto e controle. CONCLUSÕES: Os resultados obtidos sugerem que os anestesiologistas podem representar um grupo de risco entre pessoas ocupacionalmente expostas e as condições de trabalho devem ser melhoradas.

Changes are occurring worldwide, including the area of positioning using Global Navigation Satellite Systems in mobile devices such as mobile phones or laptops. This is due to the great improvement and availability of Internet services to these mobile devices. The accuracy and speed of data transmission for these devices makes the technology of sending / receiving data via an internet targeted for optimization. The optimization could allow obtaining, in real-time, coordinates (latitude, longitude and altitude) of suitable quality for users of GPS (Global Positioning System) devices that have wireless Internet access, such as those used to control the eet, locomotion, navigation, agriculture, etc. . The use of the protocol NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) in GPS applications is growing every day. Applications are available in C, which creates an opportunity for development with a focus on multiplatform environments. As estratégias de coping e o impacto sofrido pela família quando um dos seus está em tratamento contra o câncer

The aim of the present study was to analyze the impact suffered by 40 people when discovering that one of their family members was diagnosed with cancer, to analyze their coping strategies and expectations towards the patient’s illness and future. The study made use of the Coping Strategies Inventory by Folkman and Lazarus. Results show that most of the patients’ caregivers are their married children, with an average age of 45.7 (dp=12.67), and gainfully employed. These family members reported the negative impact of the diagnosis, with the predominant feelings of sadness and fear of loss, even though they had a positive perspective about the future, expecting the patient’s recovery. As to the functional coping strategies, the most used were the resolution of problems, followed by social support; the least used was positive revaluation. As to the dysfunctional strategies, the most used ones were escape and avoidance and the least used was taking the responsibility for the illness. Conclusions are that despite suffering with the negative impact of the disease, the family members are optimistic about the patient’s future and seek to use strategies that solve the problem effectively, without blaming themselves for the patient’s illness.
