O provimento do cargo do gestor escolar e a qualidade de ensino nas escolas públicas: análise a partir das publicações nacionais (1990-2005)

The research that originated this article was aimed at analyzing how the Brazilian publications from 1990 through 2005 set out the relationship between the appointment of school principals and democratic management and quality education. To that end, 38 books were selected and divided into three periods: 1990-1995; 1996-2000; 2001-2005. The findings indicate that from the second period on there is increasing consensus among scholars about the election of school principals as a form of appointment directly related to the democratization of management and quality improvement, defined as a collective and participatory construction of educational goals and practices.

Educação para o desenvolvimento sustentável: o papel da Universidade

The University is responsible for the stablishment of citizens with critical thinking, based on current concepts, capable of a dynamic and participative attitude in the community in which these professinals will be inserted. Education at environmental sustainability, permeated by the articulation among knowledge, social, and cultural phenomena, brings the challenge of incorporating skills, providing essential values not only for understanding the historical relations between human beings and the environment, but also to improving the quality of life. The “World Conference on Higher Education in the Twenty-first Century: Vision and Action" guides the educational process by its mission to train citizens professionals, highly informed, motivated, integrated and able to create a society based on love of humanity and wisdom. The balancing among the basic functions of teaching, research and extension within the University contributes to the student to take ownership of the construction of his own knowledge in a perspective of integral formation of the human being, aware of his social responsibility and policy for a society environmentally sound. This paper aims to, guided by literature review, present some considerations on the role of the University in education for environmental sustainability.

1. Introduction. Eduardo Coutinho represents the development and innovation of the Brazilian documentary. His career is still marked by a novel technique of interviews with participants also mix documentary with other communication techniques, especially fiction and journalism. This article provides a recovery path Coutinho and his major works. 2. Method. A literature review and analysis of filmic discourse is applied to understand the history and languages ​​adopted by Coutinho during his career as a documentary. 3. Who was. We conclude that Eduardo Coutinho has left a gap in the Brazilian documentary, since his death in 2014. However, their contributions are transformed the genre, as the results presented in the article.
