A divulgação científica na mídia impressa: as ciências biológicas em foco

Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir algumas características da divulgação científica que toma as ciências biológicas como tema central. Optou-se pela análise de livros que, no contexto brasileiro, alcançaram sucesso público e que são, freqüentemente, mencionados por alunos universitários, tanto em sala de aula quanto em seus escritos. O enfoque dado à pesquisa é de cunho antropológico, enfatizando-se que, na pós-modernidade, fluem paralelamente duas culturas, rotuladas por Giddens (2002) de a cultura da segurança e a cultura de risco.

Último Desejo e Testamento de Wilhelm Reich

O objetivo desta tradução é contribuir para a divulgação do pensamento do médico psiquiatra e inicialmente, psicanalista, Wilhelm Reich. Nascido em 24 de março de 1897, em parte da Galícia pertencente ao Império austro-húngaro, Reich morreu na prisão em 03 de novembro de 1957 nos Estados Unidos da América. Contudo, poucos meses antes do ataque cardíaco que o levou à morte, Reich legou sua obra às crianças do futuro em testamento assinado em 08 de março de 1957, onde registrou seus últimos desejos sob o testemunho de Willian Moise, Michael Silvert e Willian Steig, temendo possíveis distorções, difamações, adulterações e destruição de seus escritos após a sua morte.

Método Pilates: equilíbrio perfeito entre corpo e mente?

Taking as base the Brazilian Physical Education History, it’s possible to observe how much the recognizable corporal activity as smooth and alternative, giving origin to non traditional ways to move the body that receives the name of “alternative corporal practices” has increased lately. Therefore this research was done with objective to raise interest and stimulate physical educational professional and general interested people knowledge to the work of a corporal approach called “Pilates Method”. Based on a bibliographic research in sites, articles, and books about Pilates method, alternative corporal practices and physical education history, we tried to gather, in one material, important information about Pilates method. To organize the material here shown, we guided ourselves on the collection of UNESP´s library and on Pilates methods training courses about which were made references in the body text and were mentioned the bibliographic reference for further profound study of interested people. We hope that Physical Educational professionals and further interested people find in this conclusion course work that intends to contribute to the method divulgation assistance for higher and deeper knowledge concerning to the origin, principles and possibilities of practical appliance pedagogy of Pilates Methods.

Entenda RP: campanha de difusão da profissão de Relações Públicas

The profession of public relations presents itself in Brazil currently as a profession in expansion. However, by it’s time of performance, it should already be instated and legitimatized by society like other areas that even though appeared later, are already known and understood. Therefore, this project intends to seek for answers about the current situation, analyzing since it’s appearance in Brazil until now a days. With this analysis of the whole historic trajectory it is possible to understand the many movements that occur today in the area of public relations that are constantly searching for a legitimating and valued profession. However in this context surfaces a paradox: How to value something that is not known? So this project starts up again a campaign of divulgation of public relations promoted by the ABRP (Brazilian Association of Public Relations), now on the internet using the social networks, seeking to have a wider audience, interaction and reach. By this campaign it is possible to show to different publics the existence and relevance of the profession in the Brazilian context in objective and practice way making it more comprehensible in Brazil

Análise da estabilidade dimensional e resistência mecânica em bambu Guadua angustifolia pós-processos de tratamentos químicos e térmico

Nowadays, bamboo is being studied because of their strength properties according with their specific mass and speed of growth, which makes it an important alternative as a new resource that will help reduce pressure on forests and helpping them favoring the minimization of uncontrolled deforestation in many regions of Brazil. This study aimed, in general, to analyze physical and mechanical properties of the material with the divulgation of its potential for industrial application. To do so, in this research were determined in relation to the physical properties, moisture content, dimensional stability and the apparent densities and the mechanics and basic, just a tension parallel to grain, in order to observe the interference of various kinds of treatments (chemical, thermal and natural) on the strength and modulus of elasticity in this request. The species used was the Guadua angustifolia, a species native of Brazil. All tests were performed at Universidade Estadual Paulista - Campus Experimental Itapeva in the laboratory of Materials Properties. The methodology used for testing of moisture, density and tension parallel to grain were based on NBR 7190/1997 for the wood, and dimensional stability tests were based on much the same as in COPANT 462/1972 (South American) . The preservative treatments conducted followed the recommendation of each manufacturer. The values obtained in tests of physical properties were satisfactory especially with respect to density and dimensional stability analyzed by the coefficient of anisotropy, showed that, compared to wood, excellent quality for the shrinkage test, obtaining a coefficient of 1.2. With respect to parallel tensile tests to fibre results showed, in most cases, that test specimens with the presence of us have lower values of resistance and modulus of elasticity when compared with those without us. Gestão de gastos imprevistos no abastecimento de matéria-prima de uma fábrica

La performance desentreprises ça dépend, engrande partie, deses chaînesd’approvisionnement. Celas peuvent entretrès complexe, car elle implique tout le processus avant, pendant et après l’assemblage duproduit fini. Ce travaila donc comme objectifl’amélioration de lagestion des imprévus qu’arrivent audébutdela chaîne d’approvisionnement et lesimpacts sur l’approvisionnement de la ligne d’assemblage d’une usine. L’approche méthodologique utilisée est la recherche-action. De cette façon, ce travail présente une standardisation des processusquechaque département doit fairedans uncas de rupture dans la chaîne. D’après entretiens, analyses de document, standardisation des organigrammes et graphiques croisés dynamiques, ila été possible proposer un moyen plus critique d’analyser et résoudre certains problèmes. En tant que résultats, viennent un organigramme défini, une divulgation des informations plus précises pour la prise en décision et unes l’analyse critique de l’historique des imprévus. Gêneros do discurso, ciência e mídia: a divulgação científica em questão

This work’s main purpose is to research how the scientific speech is outlined on the Revista Língua Portuguesa in statements made by linguists. Statements issued in the previously mentioned magazine have been analyzed. In order to achieve the proposal, the research was based on the following questions: how both the scientific and the scientific divulgation speeches are formed in the magazine, and whether the opinion texts written by scholars and researchers in the linguistic field identify themselves with opinion articles, scientific articles or scientific divulgation texts. Those questions were discussed from the theoretical-methodological bakhtinian perspective, taking the notion of dialogism, the human activity sphere, genres of discourse and style as conceptual elements. It has been detected that there is a complexity in the construction of the genres in the magazine, always taking into account the journalistic and scientific spheres of circulation. The analyzed statements presented themselves as a confluence of many genres’ characteristics, showing a point of view, a scientific subject, a researcher-author and a language adjustment to the magazine reader, making it more accessible. The analysis showed that the discussed statements resemble opinion articles, scientific articles, and reviews, besides being scientific divulgation at the same time

Algumas considerações sobre a poesia de Eucanaã Ferraz

The contemporary Brazilian poetic production is marked by a strong diversity in the forms of expression and the thematic contents that it makes circulate; it is found either turned to the critical reading of the Brazilian poetry‟s most traditional repertoire, or more concerned about the research of new expressive models afforded by language. Such constitutive diversity, which operates on the intermediate gradients between these two tendencies, finds itself underlined by the little orthodox practice of the production divulgation and circulation, that appropriated the internet and the poetic performances to compensate the low paper-based edition. What we have is a type of poetic dialectology which identifies the poetry readers group. Verifying the most regular procedures in the construction of the dialectology, through the work of Eucanaã Ferraz and João Cabral, is the objective of this paper.
