This text aims to identify the discursive relations and the mechanisms used by sources - discourses gathered at press and specialized sites - in composing of viewpoints presented about the religious education textbooks and, a result of that, of controversial relationship built thereafter. The theoretical foundation of this work rests largely on the concepts of global semantics and constitutive intermisunderstanding (MAINGUENEAU, 1997, 2008) and discursive heterogeneity (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 1990, 1998). The research corpus consisted of four texts, three of which were published in 2010 and another in 2011, two reports and two opinion articles about the subject. From our analysis, we could see the construction of a controversial relationship between a discursive formation that challenges the teaching of religion in Brazilian public education, on the grounds that benefit the Christian faith and, moreover, one that supports the continuation of this practice and consider it important for the formation of the student and also as a promoter of diversity and equality.

Sabendo-se da importância da mídia em informar e difundir a cultura, faz-se necessário uma análise de suas influências junto a seus receptores. Para tanto, o presente trabalho propôs verificar a maneira como a temática da violência escolar é abordada por três mídias impressas, escolhidas para a pesquisa. Foram investigadas três mídias de circulação nacional, com periodicidades semanais, quinzenais e mensais e com públicos-alvo direcionados ou não. Os alvos de reflexão para a pesquisa foram o tema violência escolar e o discurso da mídia sobre esse tema a fim de verificar sua possível contribuição para a resolução dos problemas relacionados à violência nas escolas. Também foi feita uma análise bibliográfica acerca do assunto pesquisado para fundamentar a análise dos dados coletados. Diante dos objetos estudados a pesquisa apresentou alguns dados indicativos positivos, porém observou-se que ainda é preciso avançar no conteúdo das questões e assuntos que abordam a violência escolar.

This research is aimed at discussing the ways in which social agents influence global warming, analyzing the discourse of social actors involved in the debate on climate change, since there is a wide divergence in the scientific community about how man is able to modify the climate on a global scale. In fact the debate that permeates the issues beyond the limits of science and enter into a political-economic framework that takes extraordinary proportions. This emphasis can be very unscientific in the fundamental design concepts, or even creating a trivialization of the media. The main way to convey these concepts is to disclose them in the media, but the media has enormous power to transform the concepts and often manipulate the news by creating a common sense goes against the interests of the scientific community. Thus was conducted extensive research in major newspapers and magazines that move in the country. We surveyed the first two papers which were: “Folha de S. Paulo” and “O Estado de S. Paulo”, during the period from January 2000 to December 2008, totaling 3285 units for the newspaper Folha and 2555 for the newspaper Estadão. Subsequently a survey was made of data published in two journals that move at the national level, and these are the magazines VEJA and ÉPOCA for the same period. By performing these steps, it was concluded that several factors involving the media and climate change, such as topic relevance, types of approaches, perspectives of analysis, the staff development, supplies, among other factors of utmost importance for building news. As a result we can say that the media in fulfilling its role of mediator scientific, disclosing only a vision that permeates the scientific debate. A Copa do Mundo de futebol é uma das maiores comemorações esportivas mundiais o que lhe confere o status de megaevento esportivo. Em 2014, o Brasil sediará essa competição, no entanto, ainda existem vários pontos que devem ser investigados para se compreender melhor esse megaevento para o desenvolvimento do País. Assim, o objetivo do presente estudo foi investigar as vantagens e desvantagens da realização da Copa do Mundo de Futebol no Brasil em 2014, a partir do discurso da mídia. A metodologia qualitativa buscou analisar as notícias veiculadas pelo jornal Folha.com que é acompanhado via internet, no período que compreendeu os meses de Janeiro, Fevereiro e Março do ano de 2011. Foram coletadas 96 notícias que versavam sobre a Copa do Mundo 2014. Os resultados encontrados mostraram que 36,45% das notícias designaram-se como vantagens no âmbito da realização da Copa do Mundo no Brasil. Já as notícias que foram analisadas com pontos de destaque desvantajosos atingiram a marca de 56,25%. Foi observada uma diferença mínima nos pontos de destaque, pois enquanto as vantagens chegaram a 15 pontos, as desvantagens perfizeram 16 pontos de destaque demonstrando que a mídia aponta tanto para os aspectos positivos como negativos da realização da Copa no país. Dentre os principais aspectos positivos da realização da Copa no Brasil estão uma melhor visibilidade do País para o mundo e uma conseqüente expansão comercial do próprio território brasileiro, além da geração de empregos e melhoria na infra estrutura física do Brasil, desde construção de estádios até melhorias no transporte e aeroportos brasileiros. Aliado a tudo isso estão a expansão do turismo nacional e um forte aquecimento da economia, culminando com os legados que ficarão para o Brasil. The aim of this paper is to present the results of a research in the area of Discourse Analysis, to describe discourses found in the media about the identities constructed in the Second Life virtual communities network and, to find out what discursive strategies are produced by the profile “fashion in the soap operas” hosted in the Twitter micro-blogging as an attempt to have a significant number of logfiles and to discover what leads men, women and, teenagers to participate of this “fashion in the soap operas” interaction. Our corpus consists of printed media reportings that present users of Second Life and its avatars with a proposal of new identities, including the utterances produced by the profile “fashion in the soap operas” and their respective followers. The analysis of the reports and discourses are based on the work by Michel Pêcheux and Michel Foucault. The analysis have shown that the new identities, created in virtual communities network and, the profile of the followers of “fashion in the soap operas”, hosted in Twitter, are characteristically contemporary sensibilities, who take part in the truth games and in the social pressing experimented nowadays

This work’s main purpose is to research how the scientific speech is outlined on the Revista Língua Portuguesa in statements made by linguists. Statements issued in the previously mentioned magazine have been analyzed. In order to achieve the proposal, the research was based on the following questions: how both the scientific and the scientific divulgation speeches are formed in the magazine, and whether the opinion texts written by scholars and researchers in the linguistic field identify themselves with opinion articles, scientific articles or scientific divulgation texts. Those questions were discussed from the theoretical-methodological bakhtinian perspective, taking the notion of dialogism, the human activity sphere, genres of discourse and style as conceptual elements. It has been detected that there is a complexity in the construction of the genres in the magazine, always taking into account the journalistic and scientific spheres of circulation. The analyzed statements presented themselves as a confluence of many genres’ characteristics, showing a point of view, a scientific subject, a researcher-author and a language adjustment to the magazine reader, making it more accessible. The analysis showed that the discussed statements resemble opinion articles, scientific articles, and reviews, besides being scientific divulgation at the same time

According to data published on the World Drug Report 2012 by Unodc - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime -, the world consumes nowadays the same amount of illicit drugs that it has always consumed. Contrary to this stable consumption, discussions surrounding the issue of drugs have intensified. The greatest controversies and the largest repercussion in the Brazilian media relate to marijuana use. This paper was developed in the context of polemic issues and its general goal is to analyze the conflict of ideologies present in the discourses about drugs on printed articles released by the Brazilian media, represented here by the magazines Veja, Carta Capital and Galileu. The female identity in relation to the multiplicity of roles of contemporary women and their evolution in the labor market is the focus of the work that is developed from studies of French line Discourse Analysis refered to Michel Pêcheux and Michel Foucault. The objective is to reflect on the discursive mechanisms of print media, focusing on Veja magazines covers, which, by its verbal and visual language, constructs meaning effects and disseminates certain social thruths about the female changes. Considering that this media aspect plays an important role on society's opinion formation, it is worth to investigate, analyse and describe the elements present on the covers, as seduction and persuasion objects. The work analysis material is formed by six covers published by Veja magazine in the period of 1968-2012, which raise the theme of women in the labor market and show us their evolution and the changes in the representations about the female universe and the work in society
