MS2SV: Tradução de modelos em Simulink para VHDL-AMS

This paper presents a methodology and a tool for projects involving analogue and digital signals. A sub-systems group was developed to translation a Matlab/Simulink model in the correspondent structural model described in VHDL-AMS. The developed translation tool, named of MS(2)SV, can reads a file containing a Simulink model translating it in the correspondent VHDL-AMS structural code. The tool also creates the directories structure and necessary files to simulate the model translated in System Vision environment. Three models of D/A converters available commercially that use R-2R ladder network were studied. This work considers some of challenges set by the electronic industry for the further development of simulation methodologies and tools in the field of mixed-signal technology. Although the objective of the studies has been the D/A converter, the developed methodology has potentiality to be extended to consider control systems and mechatronic systems.

Use of classification in organizing and searching the web

The traditional characteristics and challenges for organizing and searching information on the World Wide Web are outlined and reviewed. The classification features of two of these methods, such as Google, in the case of automated search engines, and Yahoo! Directory, in the case of subject directories are analyzed. Recent advances in the Semantic Web, particularly the growing application of ontologies and Linked Data are also reviewed. Finally, some problems and prospects related to the use of classification and indexing on the World Wide Web are discussed, emphasizing the need of rethinking the role of classification in the organization of these resources and outlining the possibilities of applying Ranganathan's facet theories of classification.

A estratégia como prática social: um estudo bibliométrico sobre a evolução do tema no período de 2009 a 2014

This is a bibliometric study on the evolution of research on the topic Strategy as Social Practice, from 2009 to 2014. The general objective is to produce bibliometric indicators that show how scientific studies on the strategy as social practice They have evolved in the Brazilian scene. It was considered as a database articles published on the topic in scientific events EnANPAD and 3Es, both of ANPAD - National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Administration. Studies in strategy have a traditional and historical approach, rooted in the determination of strategies based on scientific knowledge acquired by the managers of the senior management of organizations. Opposing this trend, there are emerging studies in strategy, seeking to evaluate the strategic practice within organizations in various areas, and on some occasions without a decision expected by the traditional approach strategy. To this end, it conducted a theoretical study, descriptive and quantitative approach being used bibliometrics as a research method. They were selected and analyzed 53 articles using descriptive statistical techniques. The results show that studies on the subject are recent and still needs more specific and aligned studies determining the strategy as a social practice
