Evaluación genética de búfalos de la raza Murrah para la producción de leche en el día de control y a los 305 días de lactancia

There were analyzed 4757 complete lactations of the Murrah breed, daughters of 187 bulls, with the goal of verifying the viability upon employing the test-day (PDLC), on substitution of the milk yield at 305th day of lactation (PL305), in the genetic evaluations. The components of variance for the PDLC1 to PDLC9 and for the PL305 were estimated in uni-traits analysis according to maximum restricted likelihood method. The used model included the genetic direct additive random effects, of residual and permanent environment. There were considered as fixed effects, the contemporary group and the number of milkings and the age of the cow at the moment of parity co-variable (quadratic and linear effect). The contemporary groups were constituted by the herd-year-month of control for the PDLC and by herd-year-epoch of parity for PL305. The estimates of heritability for the PDLC and PL305 were 0.12 to 0.23 and 0.22, respectively. The correlations of order of the predicted genetic values for the 187 bulls, obtained between the PDLC and the PL305, were from moderate to high, varying from 67.74 to 83.12. From the minimum selection of the 10% of the best bulls relating to the predicted genetic value for the PL305, the coincidence among the classification of these animals was over 68%, when evaluated by the PDLC3,PDLC4,PDLC5 and PDLC6. Upon selecting the 5% of the best animals that coincidence presented a lower value.

Modelo de conductancia hidráulica de la dentina humana ex vivo

The main objective of this work was to mount and test an experimental model to measure the hydraulic conductance of ex vivo dentin. Seventeen healthy third molars, with indication of extraction of healthy donors aged between 15 and 30 years were obtained by informed consent. After cleaning them, disinfecting them, including them in resin epoxy and cutting them, there were 17 samples of dentin, corresponding to a disk of resin with a coronal section of tooth showing the dentin exposed on both sides of it. Three machines to measure the hydraulic conductance of the dentin were assembled according to the description of the model of Pashley. Samples were installed in a Chamber of diffusion, connected by using silicone tubes to a graduated transfer pipette and a 20cm water column. Through the displacement of a bubble of water in the inside of the pipette, the hydraulic conductance of each sample was measured 3 times on the 14th, 21st, 28th and 35th day post extraction. The data were tabulated and analyzed statistically. There is no SS difference in the rate of flow of a measured sample in the three machines (p=0.5937). There is no SS difference in measurements of the hydraulic conductance of 13 samples of human dentin measured in days 14, 21, 28 and 35 postextraction (p=0.0704). It is possible to mount an experimental model to study the hydraulic conductance of dentin ex vivo, based on the model of Pashley. The model seems to be reliable, but more research is needed in order to validate its reliability.

Articulação entre as políticas internas e externas no Brasil dos anos de 1980 aos nossos dias: uma análise valorativa sobre o desenvolvimento social e política-cultural

Assim como, as vivências nos intercâmbios internacionais podem e devem contribuir em grau elevado na constituição das mesmas políticas públicas, angariando recursos e investimentos externos, elas também podem se aprofundar em experiência de conscientização dos sujeitos políticos. Quanto mais a difusão cultural entre os povos é incentivada, pelos governos e iniciativas não governamentais, somada à atividade política dos sujeitos, mais trará contribuições aos entremeios das sociedades complexas, que por sua vez, refletirão na melhoria das condições de vida dos indivíduos e de suas instituições. O plano discursivo ideal propõe a superação das amarras econômicas para contemplar os estratos sociais, essa seria a primeira etapa para iniciar o aperfeiçoamento das instâncias democráticas e, convém assistir às transformações desde as estrutura, ou seja, dos modos de pensar, ser e agir dos seres humanos em busca de um novo tipo de desenvolvimento, que de fato se reconheça globalizado. Para tanto, o método utilizado se ancorou na revisão bibliográfica da análise histórica e da análise de discursos dos ex-presidentes, a partir da época de redemocratização brasileira. A todo o momento, frisou-se a articulação entre as mais diversas frentes de organização social, interna e externa, bem como as supranacionais, tal articulação é oportuna à metodologia, na tentativa de uma compreensão introdutória dos processos da modernidade complexa. Além disso, optou-se por tecer considerações finais que deixassem o texto aberto ao debate, ao contrário de qualquer proposta conclusiva. A saber, a potencialidade em dialogar sobre o conceito de desenvolvimento, que se deseja pluralmente inserido na universalidade relativa ao gênero humano, torna-se mais atraente, à medida que são cobradas melhorias dos programas político-democráticos...
