Estudo das construções verbais paratáticas em italiano

The present study aims at the occurrence of a particular type of construction in Italian language, namely the paratactic verbal constructions (henceforth, PVCs), previously named by Rodrigues (2006) as “foi fez constructions” (FFCs). The present study is part of the research project “Gramaticalização de construções em línguas românicas: um estudo comparativo” (2011a), supervised by Professor Dr Angélica Terezinha Carmo Rodrigues, developed in this University. The constructions analized here, accordingly to Rodrigues (2006), are described as a sequence of two or more inflected verbs, connected or not by the conjunction and, such as: “eu fui (e) comprei um carro”, “ele pegou (e) falou”, in Brazilian Portuguese (PB), and “se ne va e piange”, “prendo e me ne vado”, in Italian. The hypothesis sustained here, based on Rodrigues’ project (2011a), is that these constructions are grammaticalized out of coordinated constructions. Herein, the objectives of this research are: (a) present a description and an analysis of the PVCs in Italian (b) compare the constructions in Portuguese and in Italian; and (c) present empirical arguments on the hypothesys that the PVCs derive from coordinate constructions. Besides being part of the research project previously mentioned, we choose to work with the PVCs because of their recurrence in the Romanic languages. Furthermore, the studies related to this type of construction in the Italian language are scarce and these constructions consist as an aspect of the Italian grammar hardly studied. Susceptibilidade erosiva do baixo curso do rio Acaraú-CE

The inadequate land use in the low course of the river Acaraú is speeding up processes of erosion in some degrees. This process is accented in the areas where caatinga was removed for implantation of pastures and agriculture. Concomitantly, the plain of flooding of the river Acaraú an accumulation of sand with the carry of these sediments, resulting in the widening of the fluvial plain and reduction of the shape water, with increase of the evapotranspiration and consequence salinization, proceeding from the local substratum. This paper aimed at the crossing of diverse space information (geomorfology, soil, declivity, geology and land use) in environment SIG, for determination of the susceptible areas to the erosion and an accumulation of sand in the low course of the Acaraú river, north of the State of the Ceará, Brazil. The results allow to evaluate the application of this tool in the planning and management of the environment, from the crossing of the type of use with the used environment and the consequent impact to the ecosystem.

Captura incidental de um tubarão-baleia, Rhincodon typus (Orectolobiformes, Rhincodontidae), na costa do Ceará, Nordeste do Brasil

A whale shark, Rhincodon typus, was incidentally captured off Ceará on January 2009, during gillnet fishery. This is the second occurrence record for this species off the State and the first including material deposited in a scientific collection.

Estratégias de relativização e construções alternativas nas línguas indígenas do Brasil

Este estudo tem como base o trabalho sobre a tipologia linguística desenvolvida pelos linguistas Edward L. Keenan e Bernard Comrie, formuladores de estratégias de formação da oração relativa e da Hierarquia de Acessibilidade. Em suas análises, os autores buscam evidências que confirmem a proposta de revisão feita pelo linguista Simon Cornelis Dik à Hierarquia de Acessibilidade. Na obra, eles salientam que uma pesquisa de base tipológico-funcional não se pode fiar em critérios puramente morfossintáticos e procuram determinar em que medida as funções semânticas têm influência na construção de orações relativas. Apesar de se dedicar ao estudo de línguas indígenas, esta obra não é voltada para a Linguística Indígena, uma vez que seu foco principal é a caracterização tipológico-funcional da oração relativa. No entanto, os autores optaram por tomar como base de dados da análise as línguas indígenas brasileiras pelo fato de haver poucos estudos tipológicos dedicados a elas. Dessa forma, acreditam poder contribuir também para o desenvolvimento da linguística aplicada às línguas nativas do país
