Orientações de alta: cartões padronizados ajudam na compreensão dos pacientes do pronto socorro?

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether the addition of discharge standard illustrated cards improves understanding of patients in the emergency room. METHODS: We conducted a prospective, randomized, interventional study with 228 patients discharged from the emergency department. All patients were interviewed and tested for the level of understanding of discharge instructions. Some of them received the intervention, with the standard cards, and another did not, constituting the control group. RESULTS: The average of followed discharge guidelines of the group that received the cards was higher than the control group, with statistical significance (p=0.009). When segregated by age, the group between 16 and 35 years of both sexes had the best average of followed guidelines, statistically, than the average of the control group (p=0.01). The difference between the mean orientations between the control group and the card for patients undergoing procedures was statistically significant (p=0.02); as for the stratification according to the number of procedures, the significance increases when that is equal to 1 (p=0.001) and decreased the more procedures were carried out. CONCLUSION: The introduction of discharge standard orientation cards was associated with improvement in the understanding of patients. Without replacing the verbal directions, which establishes dialogue and doctor-patient bonding, cards appear as auxiliary elements, facilitating understanding and care guidelines.

Leitura do álbum de postais de Carolina Attanasio (1913-1942)

A minha proposta neste texto é apresentar os procedimentos de leitura de álbum de postais que pertenceu a uma ítalo-brasileira, o qual contém cartões postais recebidos entre 1911 e 1942. Mostro que, além das imagens e dos textos que traz, esse álbum é acima de tudo uma construção da memória de si, no caso a memória de sua autora: Carolina Attanasio. Sua leitura permite ter acesso privilegiado à sensibilidade de um período, propiciando entender de forma mais aguda como se articula vida pessoal com acontecimentos mais gerais.

SIG e álgebra de mapas na elaboração de um mapa de potencial de erosão em áreas de silvicultura

Cette étude visait à générer une carte du potentiel d'érosion pour la Ferme Santa Edwirges, située à Lorena /SP. Les résultats ont etés classifiés en faible, modéré, élève et très élève potentiel d'érosion et la carte obtenue a été comparé par rapport aux autres cartes existantes pour la zone d'étude. La méthodologie proposée se basant sur une application qualitative simple L’équation Universelle de Perte de Sol (USLE ou EUPS), en considérant les parties de l'équation: érodibilité, la topographie et l'utilisation des terres. Les donnés ont etés intégrés par l'algèbre de carte dans l’environnement SIG de ArcGIS. Pour la représentation de chacune de ces parcelles, nous avons utilisé une carte des formations superficielles de la ferme, généré à partir d'une ré-interprétation de la carte géologique, une carte de la pente et une carte d'utilisation des terres, attribuant un poids d’important pour chaque catégorie de ces cartes dans le processus d'érosion et dans l'algèbre proposée. Les résultats obtenus sont compatibles avec les zones identifiées comme les plus critiques sur terrain. La ferme a été identifiée comme de potentiel d'érosion modérée et la partie sud de la ferme le plus critique, suivi du groupe conduit par la zone de cisaillement, par contre les plaines proches des rivières ont eté identifié comme la zone plus stable avec moins de potentiel d'érosionDe la comparaison des résultats de ce travail et d'autres qui ont fait antérieurement dans la zone d’intéresse, qui ont utilisé les paramètres géotechniques dans la représentation de l'érosivité des sols, nous avons pu voir des résultats similaires, en particulier dans les zones à potentiel élevé et faible pour l'érosion. Cartão de visita: uma estratégia de marketing profissional na prática odontológica

The objective of this study was to analyze the business cards used as the initial strategy of marketing Dentists, based on the Code of Dental Ethics, Law No. 5081 / 24/08/1966 and the principles of marketing. It is a cross-sectional study, which evaluated the 54 cards of Dental Clinics of Municipalities of the Northwest Region of São Paulo. Among the cards reviewed, based on the Code of Ethics, only 59.63% contained the registration number in the Regional Council of Dentistry, in 32.22% of the cards noted misuse of the term “general practice”, rather than “GP.” The item was on the cards unless found the specification of the profession Surgeon / Dental Surgeon (57.41%). According to Law No. 5081 / 1966, which regulates dentists, 37.22% of the cards improperly determined that the exercise more than two professional specialty; contained 19.26% of total ad price and terms of service payment. Thus, it appears that business cards are an important means of dissemination of professional work, but some Dentists have neglected ethical and legal principles. Thus, it emphasizes the need for awareness among professionals about the issues related to advertising and marketing.

This work refers to a cut of my artistic creation path with some reflections on the subject other. Mail Art has been an alternative trend of art / avant-garde, where communication between artists networks is the goal to be achieved, therefore, from this statement, was approached some historical and particular aspects regarding the post and its contingencies in the art / forefront. Share this moment of academic completion with a postcard exhibition that will take place through the agency of other participating artists. To do so, were invited artists from the theme IDENTIFY UP to send work in postcard size with the exclusive use of the Post Office. The exhibition event will take place in the Gallery of the Art Institute. Participant of other similar projects, I believe I experienced a new role: who calls, organizes and rules.
