O conflito ideológico no discurso sobre a maconha: uma abordagem dialógica de matérias impressas veiculadas na mídia brasileira

According to data published on the World Drug Report 2012 by Unodc - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime -, the world consumes nowadays the same amount of illicit drugs that it has always consumed. Contrary to this stable consumption, discussions surrounding the issue of drugs have intensified. The greatest controversies and the largest repercussion in the Brazilian media relate to marijuana use. This paper was developed in the context of polemic issues and its general goal is to analyze the conflict of ideologies present in the discourses about drugs on printed articles released by the Brazilian media, represented here by the magazines Veja, Carta Capital and Galileu. A Presença da alteridade nos discursos sobre a literatura marginal em blogs: uma análise dialógica

O presente trabalho toma como objeto de estudo o discurso sobre a literatura marginal em blogs. A literatura marginal é um movimento literário que tem como tema central o relato da própria experiência de sobreviver nos espaços marginais e marginalizados da sociedade brasileira contemporânea. A vida na periferia, lugar este pouco representado pela literatura canônica, passa a ser extensão do que se escreve, deste modo, o autor assume de forma concreta seus distintivos traços artísticos, culturais e sociais. Tendo em vista a internet como instrumento de “democratização” da prática e do uso da palavra escrita, por conta da heterogeneidade dos discursos veiculados, a literatura marginal contemporânea encontra, neste espaço, a possibilidade para expor e divulgar seus discursos carregados de traços distintivos de hibridismo, contraditoriedade, além de propagar, por meio da linguagem coloquial, sua temática que possui um caráter coletivo e representa uma específica realidade brasileira. Nos blogs, mais especificamente, os escritores de literatura marginal encontram um espaço de divulgação de textos inéditos e de suas obras. Para a realização do estudo proposto, foram feitas considerações gerais sobre os blogs pesquisados, segundo uma abordagem dialógica do material de pesquisa. O corpus compõe-se de blogs de sujeitos que têm alguma relação com a literatura marginal contemporânea: o blog da editora literatura marginal (editoraliteraturamarginal.blogspot.com.br) e os blogs pessoais dos escritores Ferréz (ferrez.blogspot.com.br) e Sérgio Vaz (colecionadordepedras1.blogspot.com.br). Para a descrição/análise dos dados, foi feito um estudo bibliográfico de escritos bakhtinianos, que embasam teoricamente a pesquisa. As Melhores redações da FUVEST 2010: uma análise dialógica

This research analyzes the 53 best university entrance exams essays of 2010 of FUVEST - University Foundation for University Entrance Exams, which were published on the institution website, indicating that they were considered the best in the exam. The objective of the analysis was to identify similarities and differences between the essays, based on dialogic approach. We analyzed aspects such as: the way students addressed the subject, the language and organization of writing; the different ways of argumentation; the most used quotes; dissertation structure and the way the students considered the discourse genre writing. The study also compared the essays based on the way in which the genre is addressed in schools and pre-university preparatory courses, which gave us parameters to evaluate the extent to which this teaching can help students or otherwise confuse them. Through the analysis, we can deduce what the institution values, which helps to demystify some of the so-called known “recipes” for good writing

Análise de ofícios sob uma perspectiva bakhtiniana

The objective of this work is to describe the particularities of the official letter genre, according to theoretical perspective of the Russian philosopher of language Bakhtin. The discourse genres, in this perspective, presented in relative stability, being affected by alterations occurred in the activity sphere where they circulate, for the ideological values that produce the speeches of this sphere and for the dialogic relations with other genres and spheres. It is intended to show as the official letter, in the public departments, although the stability acquired for its formal style, objective, reveals in an instability permeated for the thematic aspect, compositional and until stylistic. For realization of this analysis, were select sixty official letters of the public town administration sphere of the city of Araraquara, produced in the months of February, March and April of 2011. The official letters were separate in two groups for subject: repayment; diverse subjects. The methodology uses the dialogic boarding of the discourse used for the circle of Bakhtin

Limites e contribuições do uso da EME para pesquisas de cunho qualitativo na aquisição do PB

The main objective of this paper is to answer the following question: how can we draw a parallel, during the analysis of the data, between children who are at different moments in the language acquisition process or who belong to different populations (children that are monolingual, bilingual, with language disorders, etc.)? In order to answer this question, we are discussing the advantages and limitations of adopting a measure like MLU, from English Mean Length of Utterance, or EME as it was named in Brazil, proposed by Roger Brown (1973). We intend to verify the effective contribution of these measures to the studies in the area and propose an adaptation in the studies that use a qualitative approach. Firstly, we recall the study of the criteria proposed by Brown (1973), Scliar-Cabral (1976), Parker & Brorson (2005), Parisse & Le Normand (2006), and Araújo (2007), and by scholars of Brazilian Portuguese morphology, like Câmara Jr (2009), Monteiro (2002), and Kehdi (1990), among others. Secondly, from a dialogic-discursive point of view (BAKHTIN, 2006; BAKHTIN/ VOLOSHINOV, 1992, 1981), we provide as an example the research on the plural in the language acquisition process (HILÁRIO, 2010, 2011b, 2012). The reflections made indicate that EME may be a useful measure for the researches on language acquisition. Nevertheless, adaptations should be done and its inherent problems should be taken into account, especially if other factors are considered – like the age, the number of types/occurrences, the maximum limit of items per utterance etc. – although it is not the only parameter of analysis. Considering that EME may vary according to the conditions of production and may not reflect the qualitative changes in the children’s discourse, other factors should be analyzed, like the context of the discourse, the participants involved etc.

A citação no facebook: uma análise dialógica

This study analyses the quotations from a specific Facebook page called Brasileiríssimos, which presents itself as a project aiming to publicize and value the Brazilian culture. For this analysis one can observe the use of concepts of traditional quotations, to highlight, when comparing to these formats, the different ways of quoting that can be found on this means of communication: Facebook. The research aims to reflect about how the image of the page is built from the dialogue between the I and the other. More specifically, we look at the dialogue of the author of the page with the quoted text and the reader. In order to analyze that, concepts of quotation from authors belonging to Bakhtin's Circle are going to be used, amongst others. These concepts constitute the analysis criteria of the quoted texts, especially on how the quotation is made. The chosen methodological approach is a qualitative analysis from the quotations made on Facebook, as well as texts that help to visualize the dialogue between the traditional forms of quotation and the forms found on the abovementioned page. On the proposed dialogue about the concepts of quotation it is possible to notice the production of meaning caused by the way in which the quotation is made, by how the author of the page inserts herself in relation to the quoted text and, finally, by the relation of the text with the reader. Because this research bases itself on the dialogical discourse analysis, it be turned to the concept of dialogism, analyzing discourses in contact. Departing from there, one of the main goals is to understand which discourses dialogue when the production of the quotation and in what manner the quotation is made on the chosen means of communication

Abordagem multivariada envolvendo características físicas e morfológicas do sêmen bovino, idade dos touros e época de colheita de sêmen

Avaliaram-se as relações entre características físicas e morfológicas do sêmen de bovinos das subespécies Bos taurus taurus e Bos taurus indicus com a idade dos touros e a época de colheita do sêmen. Utilizaram-se observações feitas durante o período de 1993 a 1999, em 42 touros com 12 a 174 meses de idade, divididos em cinco classes: Bos taurus taurus - 12 a 36 meses; 37 a 60 meses; 61 a 84 meses; 85 a 108 meses; e 109 a 138 meses; e Bos taurus indicus - 12 a 42 meses; 43 a 72 meses; 73 a 102 meses; 103 a 132 meses; e 133 a 174 meses. As características analisadas foram: volume, turbilhonamento espermático, concentração espermática, motilidade espermática, vigor espermático, anormalidades espermáticas e integridade do acrossoma. No processamento das análises, utilizaram-se as médias das características em cada classe de idade e o mês de colheita de sêmen durante o período de 1993 a 1999. As técnicas estatísticas multivariadas de componentes principais e de agrupamento hierárquico mostraram resultados que podem contribuir na escolha de sêmen de melhor qualidade. As classes 103 a 132 meses e 133 a 174 meses para a subespécie Bos taurus indicus e a classe de idade 109 a 138 meses para a subespécie Bos taurus taurus foram as mais contrastantes. Para ambas as subespécies, nos meses mais úmidos, o sêmen apresentou menor qualidade, principalmente na subespécie Bos taurus taurus. As características do sêmen mais contrastantes no estudo por classes e no período de coleta de sêmen foram: vigor espermático, motilidade espermática, concentração espermática, integridade do acrossoma e anormalidades terciárias no sêmen.
