The comet assay is a method of DNA damage analysis widely used to quantify oxidative damage, crosslinks of DNA, apoptosis and genotoxicity of chemicals substances as chemical, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals products, among others. This technique is suitable to detect DNA strand breaks, alkali-labile sites and incomplete excision repair sites and is based on the migration of DNA fragments by microeletroforesis, DNA migrates for the anode forming a “tail”, and the formed image has the appearance of a comet. The slides can be stained with fluorescence or silver, having differences in the microscopy type used for the analysis and the possibility of storage of the slides, moreover, the first one is a stained-method with more difficulties of accomplishment. The image analysis can be performed by a visual way, however, there is a disadvantage as the subjectivity on the results, that can be minimized by an automated method of digital analysis. This process was studied in this report with the aim to perceive the validation of the digital analysis turning it a quantitative method with larger reproductibility, minimizing the variability and imprecision due to the subjective analysis. For this validation we selected 50 comets photographed in a standardized way and printed, afterwards, pictures were submitted to three experienced appraisers, who quantified them manually. Later, the images were processed by free software ImageJ 1.38x, printed and quantified manually by the same appraisers. The intraclass correlation was higher to comet measures after image processing. Following, an algorithm of automated digital analysis from the measures of the comet was developed; the values obtained were compared with those 12 estimated manually after the processing resulting high correlation among the measures. This study has the objective of presenting a new suggestion to the public relations professional into the Brazilian fashion business, seeing that, besides promising and little explored, presents social-economic conditions that allow the profession actuation. For this, it has been deeply analyzed the social character of fashion history e its development parallel to the society historical and economic transformations, basing, then, the study of fashion history in Brazil. To understand contemporaneity and the relations which interlace on it, there were used two analyzes about nowadays social order, liquid pos-modernity, from Bauman; and the hypermodernity, from Lipovetsky. In this context, it‟s approached new ways of relating with marks and with products which, since their consumption, are prepared to posterior discard. In the accelerated scenario of marks and consumption, the human relations, more liquids and tenuous, create the urgent possibility of action from on communication professional, who knows to identify the consumers desires and foresee their needs, rendering the tenuous laces stronger and the relationships more solid. This is when the profession of public relations presents itself as a new proposal to create experiences and to tight the loose laces on the consumption era

The signal-to-noise ratio and image uniformity analysis parameters are very important in quality control of an MRI scanner. They are measured in regular tests with phantoms. In these tests, however, used to quadrature coil, which has been most widely used clinically, and, therefore, was replaced in the procedures for body coil. In order to understand the difference between these two parameters in these coils, the study aimed to analyze the images acquired from four different phantoms in the same equipment under the same conditions for comparison purposes. With these results, it can be concluded that the body coil signal-to-noise ratio has always smaller than the quadrature in any projection, whereas the image uniformity is larger

The objective of this paper is to discuss the construction of the image of São Paulo state public schools teachers in the public sphere, by the media and the trade union press, and see how that image is formed in both of them, without making any comparisons, from the covering of 2010 strikes by newspapers Folha de S. Paulo and Jornal da Apeoesp. This paper uses as theoretical basis the study of Media Hegemony, the concept of Radical Media and Public Sphere, as well as the relationship between them and social movements. It also considers the observation of the history and characteristics of trade union press and the Standards of Manipulation by the Press, proposed by Perseu Abramo. The chosen method was the identification, selection and organization of stories about education published by Folha de S. Paulo during the period; the application of Abramo’s proposed manipulation standards on the stories about the strike; research, selection and observation of print publications (Jornal da Apeoesp and newsletters Apeoesp Urgente) about the strike, published by Apeoesp during the same period

Imagem corporal é um construto multifacetado que une desde a percepção até as atitudes das pessoas sobre seu próprio corpo e compreende o conceito que cada pessoa tem de seu corpo e a sua representação mental. A deficiência física e a construção negativa da imagem corporal pode fazer com que o auto-conceito do indivíduo também fique negativo, ampliando valores estigmatizantes, preconceituosos e que reforçam sentimentos de inferioridade, baixa auto-estima, exclusão social e depressão. A prática regular de exercício físico além de propiciar a reabilitação oferece benefícios para a saúde com vantagens fisiológicas (e.g. prevenção e redução de efeitos de doenças como diabetes, hipertensão, cardiopatia e osteoporose) e vantagens psico-sociais (e.g. redução de estresse, melhora na auto-estima e imagem corporal). A imagem corporal freqüentemente está associada com atitudes alimentares uma vez que distorções na imagem podem ser sintomas de distúrbios alimentares. O presente estudo teve o objetivo de verificar se distúrbios alimentares e alterações na imagem corporal tem relação com a prática esportiva por pessoas com deficiência física. Foram avaliados 22 atletas praticantes de basquete sobre rodas (32 ± 9 anos) e 22 deficientes físicos não atletas (35 ± 11 anos). A avaliação de atitudes alimentares foi realizada pelo Teste de Atitudes Alimentares (EAT 26 - Eating Attitude Test. Garner e Garfinkel, 1979) e avaliação da imagem corporal foi realizada pelo Questionário de Imagem Corporal (BSQ – Body Shape Questionnaire. Cooper et al, 1987) e pelo Questionário sobre Deficiência Física e Estima Corporal (PDBEQ – George Taleporos et al, 2002). A presente monografia tem a finalidade de refletir como a imagem poética é construída na poesia concreta de Augusto de Campos. Para isso, será utilizada a teoria de alguns estudiosos, como Alfredo Bosi, Octavio Paz, Philadelpho Menezes, Aguillar, entre outros, para embasar a reflexão sobre a imagem poética que se desenha a partir da leitura da poesia por meio das palavras que compõem a produção artística. Há uma ênfase, durante a análise das poesias, nas palavras que as constituem, pois elas formam um elemento fundamental para a criação da imagem poética na produção da poesia concretista. O trabalho também reflete sobre a repercussão do movimento Concretista em décadas distintas (50,70 e 90) e em diferentes vertentes, como na música, nos âmbitos nacional e internacional, ressaltando a importância do Concretista para o enriquecimento da poesia, especialmente as compostas por Augusto de Campos. Também será mencionada a diferença entre a poesia visual e a poesia concreta. Para isso, serão explicitadas as suas peculiaridades e as suas propostas

Soccer is a sport practiced in almost all the world. This allowed the characterization of this sport as a business area, which resulted in changes in the management of soccer clubs, which began to be managed using the concept of club-company. Considering this fact, a study was conducted to verify how the brazilian teams are developing their marketing actions, which allow treat their insignia as trademarks and obtain an additional revenue with these actions. Were selected as object of study two traditional clubs of São Paulo - the São Paulo Futebol Clube and the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. Were collected primary data, but also, were used secondary data and documents, which were organized and analyzed through the concepts of brand, social and historical capital. This analysis identified that the two clubs taken as object of study carry out marketing actions, which were classified as related to the process of management of the insignia as a brand. Next, sought at the balance sheet of the clubs, evidences of the financial contribution of these actions to the revenues of the clubs. In this way, identified that the clubs researched have mobilized to professionally manage your brand, through targeted marketing actions to their fans, and the insignia of clubs are handled as brands, becoming one more source of revenue for the clubs

This paper related the concepts of Branding and Storytelling with the purpose to demonstrate how stories can help the mark set up a solid relationship with their public. As we speak of a relation that involves communication processes, the ideas conveyed in this paper seek demonstrate to the professionals in this area, in especial way, the public relations, that the Storytelling could be a very important tool to the process of management of the mark. Before it get into this point, some characteristic and changes of the society and of the cosumers, to evidence news challenges that up-to-dates organizations have to face. After present this context, it moves in the direction of the understanding of the concepts of mark and branding, related those with the activities of the public relations. The marks are introduced in this paper as icons that have a virtual memory able to transmit emotional burden and meanings for the consumers. The Caudal Cervical Spondylomyelopathy, also known as “Wobbler syndrome” is a neurological disorder that affects mainly breeds of large and giant size, especially Doberman pinsher and Great danes. Its aetiology is multifactorial and leads to a narrowing of the spinal canal by morphological and positional caudal cervical vertebrae (C5, C6 and C7), causing compression of the spinal cord and nerve roots. The clinical signs presented by the affected animals are progressive ataxia of hindlimbs and, later, the forelimbs, sometimes progressing to tetraparesis. Neck pain may be present. The diagnosis is made through the association of clinical signs and diagnostic imaging such as radiography, myelography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. According to the classification of the lesion obtained by imaging examinations, the conservative or surgical treatment is established and the prognosis is variable in accordance with the degree of affection of the spinal cord

O Projeto de pesquisa Mensagem, imagem e ideologias centrou seu foco principal na análise de figuras e signos ideológicos contidos nas placas e nos outdoors da cidade de Rio Claro-SP e região, no âmbito de divulgação de Instituições de Ensino. Pesquisamos os eixos transversais sobre a visão de educação e infância, a ponte entre os signos e o visual, as idéias contidas no processo das propagandas e o que se pretende vender com as imagens e os códigos expostos. Determinamos tais meios de comunicação, com propagandas de escolas de quase todos os níveis de escolaridade, para demonstrar e ilustrar as idéias contidas na aliança entre o capitalismo e a mídia, principalmente a fim de explicitar os fundamentos políticos, suas concepções e possíveis implicações na administração do processo educacional.

This study supports the role of Public Relations within Organizations, inserted in the context of the media convergence age, in which all the medias complement each other and can be used together to achieve a given goal. The approach is exposed after reflection on consumers’ specificity and identity, in addition to an approach about media convergence age characteristics, such as collective intelligence, participatory culture and affective economy. Throughout this paper, it is also discussed the concept of Transmedia Storytelling and how consumers and communicators stories have become especially important in the convergence age. In this context, consumers are understood as prosumers, since they infer and influence brands, organizations or products, by using words. We showed that, because of those prosumers narratives, an organization may became susceptible to their image destruction in a short period of time or get more acceptance and profitability. Thus, Public Relations presents itself as a communication professional that can use several corporate strategies in the relationship between organizations and their different target audience

This work describes and contextualizes the PROESF - Special Program for Teacher Training Exercise in the early grades of elementary school and children education in municipal schools of metropolitan region of Campinas. The PROESF was organized by University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and remained from 2002 to 2005 graduated about 1600 teachers. The objetives of this course was provide pedagogy formation to teachers in activity in elementary schools and children schools from municipalities of this region. The course also intended to improve the quality of the education and teachers formation. At the final part of course, the teachers had to elaborating a memorial of formation. These materials can be accessed on the website of UNICAMP. The contribution of these memorial of formations can help to think about the teachers formation. This study was a qualitative research from these materials for 2008, and the objective is to identify the marks the formation perceived by these teachers and contributions for them formation. It is understood by marks the formation school memories significant for this group of teachers, stressing the points of what the academic formation contributes for the teacher in day-to-day in the school and what life in the classroom as a teacher marked the teaching practice. Introdução: Até o presente momento, nenhum estudo analisou a relação entre imagem corporal (IC) e dança em adultos jovens e adultos idosos. Dados dessa natureza podem auxiliar no entendimento da influência da dança na imagem corporal, bem como evidenciar seus benefícios em diferentes populações. Objetivo: Investigar a IC de adultos jovens e adultos idosos praticantes de dança. Método: Participaram deste estudo 10 adultos jovens e 10 adultos idosos do gênero feminino praticantes regulares de diversas modalidades de dança que responderam, voluntariamente, à versão brasileira do Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) adaptado pela autora para a dança e à Escala de Silhuetas para Adultos (ES) e foram questionados sobre seu peso e estatura para cálculo do Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC). O grupo controle foi composto por 10 adultas jovens e 10 idosas fisicamente ativas que responderam à versão brasileira do BSQ (sem adaptação) e à Escala de Silhuetas e também foram questionados sobre seu peso e estatura. Na análise estatística final, para a comparação entre os grupos foi utilizado o Mann-Whitney Test. Resultados: No instrumento BSQ, para as variáveis idade e dança, o Mann- Whitney Test não apontou diferença significativa (p≤0,05). No instrumento ES, para as variáveis idade e dança, o Mann-Whitney Test também não apontou diferença significativa (p≤0,05). Conclusão: Tanto a atividade física quanto a dança apresentaram ser um bom instrumento para melhora da IC. Entretanto, considera-se de extrema relevância a realização de mais pesquisas nesta área. Uma amostra maior também poderia confirmar os dados já encontrados neste estudo e na literatura, em termos de significância estatística

Este estudo tem como objetivo demonstrar que as relações públicas podem ser um diferencial no processo de construção de marcas. A partir deste posicionamento apresentam-se as atribuições do relações-públicas nesse processo que se dá principalmente em proporcionar uma visão ampla sobre elementos como a cultura e a identidade organizacionais, além de conseguir estabelecer, com maior criticidade, relacionamentos com seus públicos de interesse, segundo suas prioridades. Partindo, de um levantamento teórico sobre tipologias organizacionais, a visão fundamentada do planejamento de uma marca, as atribuições do relações-públicas neste processo, até chegar à descrição da criação da marca Índigo Assessoria, o trabalho propõe que as fases de construção da marca devam ser embasadas em estudos sólidos de relações públicas para se obter sucesso e relevância no cenário global atual
