O presente trabalho constitui uma tentativa de traar os caminhos do magistrio no plano real/histrico atravs do resgate da imagem dos docentes retratados na literatura brasileira, alm de auxiliar alunos e professores de cursos de licenciatura a entender melhor os processos histricos. Ao longo de nossa histria diversos escritores se propuseram a retratar o professor em suas obras, tais como: Machado de Assis (1840), com Conto de Escola, Raul Dvila Pompia (1888) em O Ateneu, Oswald de Andrade (1926) em Memrias Sentimentais de Joo Miramar, Sylvia Orthof (1980) com a crnica Bicho Carpinteiro, Ziraldo (1995) em Uma professora muito Maluquinha e Thalita Rebouas (2006), em Fala srio, Professor! E a partir dessas obras que ocorre uma reflexo sobre a imagem que os profissionais da educao transmitem/transmitiram para a sociedade, atravs do olhar dos artistas literrios. Alm de influenciar a viso daqueles que lem suas obras, os escritores transpem em seus textos elementos que nos permitem reviver o paradigma por eles vivenciado, fazendo da literatura um instrumento para o resgate da histria.

The aim of this article is to broaden our understanding of education and the concept of womanhood in the Brazilian society of the 19th century. On the basis of the analysis of a number of novels typical of the period it is concluded that novels had or intended to have a pedagogical function among the educated elite in the education of women. In this way, literature constituted an expression of a dominant and socially determined conception of womanhood and a pedagogical instrument that imposed social values.

This article brings to light the latest research on the activities of Baptiste-Louis Garnier, French bookseller and publisher established in Rio de Janeiro, in his relations with the French publishing world: methods, procedures, books, authors and publishers. Cultural exchanges between these two systems helped to consolidate the canon of authors and works of Brazilian Literature in the nineteenth century. The study of these relationships can give full account of some information scholars have provided us and contributes to a better understanding of the process of production and circulation of literary works in Brazil.

Da escrivaninha do autor s prateleiras das livrarias, todo texto veste-se, orna-se de acessrios, at tornar-se o objeto-livro, ser oferecido ao pblico e ser lido/consumido pelo leitor. Essas transformaes, ocorridas em sua maioria na fase da editorao, podem ou no contar com a participao e, sobretudo, com o aval do autor. Quanto maior o sucesso ou prestgio da obra ou do escritor, mais prximo o autor parece estar das decises de um lanamento e mais afastado de todos os seus desdobramentos: reedies, posteriores edies populares ou de bolso, tradues. A anlise paratextual, mais especificamente a anlise das capas de livros, permite-nos observar, quanto publicao de literatura brasileira no exterior, que o mercado editorial estrangeiro adota com frequncia, como vem ocorrendo h dcadas, a opo com forte apelo ao exotismo tropical: paisagens cariocas, frutas coloridas, bitipos negro ou mestio. Em algumas ocasies, entretanto, notamos a preocupao na correspondncia temtica ou de gnero com a obra. Em ambos os casos os resultados podem ser surpreendentes, bem sucedidos ou provocar malentendidos e interpretaes ambguas. Propomos neste trabalho a apreciao e a anlise de alguns desses casos em autores de literatura brasileira traduzidos e consagrados no exterior como escritores de literatura policial e suas vertentes: Rubem Fonseca, Patrcia Melo, Garcia-Roza e Tony Bellotto, comeando por Rubem Fonseca.

This study with qualitative nature aims to analyze the impact of external factors on mood states, considering physical activity as an important factor to improve not only the physical, but also psychological factors, especially when we think of the activities performed in-group. Thus, a literature review was conducted in order to investigate in books, journals, scientific papers published in magazines, newspapers and electronic platforms the influence of exercise on emotional states of elderly people. The terms used across the curriculum contributed to the conformity of ideas on the subject. By checking some researches, it can be seen that external factors such as music, local infrastructure, professional relationship with the elderly people and other factors have been suggested as possible influencers of humor in physical activity. Knowing the preferences beyond the close contact with the elderly student, is the best way to affect possible aspects of the activity beyond just preventing circumvention of activity, avoiding sedentary lifestyle that will bring risks to the health of the elderly people

Historiography shows that the historical moment is inscribed in the culture of every time and place. Thus, it allows us to identify within the different modes of cultural production - therefore in the literature of a particular time, our research object - expressions of historical aspects. Furthermore, it is important that we know our own history, so that such knowledge help us to learn how to build, individually and collectively, more equitable societies. The objective of this bibliographic research nature was to identify historical aspects of the nineteenth century Brazilian education printed in O Ateneu (The Athenaeum), written in 1888 by Raul Pompia. We sought for narrative passages that could reveal usual educational practices in the time context of our work in order to better understand a historical period that contributed to the establishment of our current education
