Teaching resources involve different elements used to support the organization of teaching and learning. Among these are the comic books, involving visual aspects, both cognitive and creative, that provide an alternative way to complement the lectures. The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate a comic book entitled “Human Body”, focusing on the circulatory, digestive, nervous and respiratory systems, to provide an alternative resource for the teaching of the content in the initial years. The material was evaluated with students of the 5th year of elementary education at a public school in the state of São Paulo, through the use of questionnaires. The comic book proved to be valid as a complementary teaching resource for learning in students, enabling reflection on the relevance of the development and use of comics to science education in the initial years.

Ti and its alloys are widely used as biomaterials. Their main properties are excellent corrosion resistance, relatively low elastic modulus, high specific strength, and good biocompatibility. The development of new Ti alloys with properties favorable for use in the human body is desired. To this end, Ti alloys with Mo, Nb, Zr, and Ta are being developed, because these elements do not cause cytotoxicity. The presence of interstitial elements (such as oxygen and nitrogen) induces strong changes in the elastic properties of the material, which leads to hardening or softening of the alloy. By means of anelastic spectroscopy, we are able to obtain information on the diffusion of these interstitial elements present in the crystalline lattice. In this paper, the effect of oxygen on the anelastic properties of some binary Ti-based alloys was analyzed with anelastic spectroscopy. The diffusion coefficients, pre-exponential factors, and activation energies were calculated for oxygen and nitrogen in these alloys.

You can set the resistance training such as making a move against a resistance by performing a muscle contraction and generating a muscular adaptation. This form of training, was initially used only in training athletes aiming to strengthen and improve fitness. Some coaches did not give proper focus, as the increase in muscle mass would cause loss of flexibility and agility. But over time a huge evolution occurred within this area and the practitioners of resistance training are no longer just athletes, and reached the whole community, from young to elderly, being a physical activity that generates a large caloric expenditure and has several health benefits, improve the cardiovascular system and decreasing the amount of body fat in the body. Cortisol is a hormone secreted from a stressful stimulus to the body, secretion undergoes control of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, which releases the hormone into the bloodstream andrenocorticotrópico, going to the adrenal cortex responsible for their release. This has catabolic function, acting in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids, as well as having an important effect antiflamatório. Testosterone is a steroid hormone cholesterol from being produced by the testicles in men, as in women is produced to a lesser extent in ovary and adrenal glands, has functions androgenic and anabolic. Androgen function is responsible for the development of male sexual characteristics, while on anabolic function operates in the growth of muscles and bones, influencing the development of the human body organs. Within the metabolic changes that occur in the resistance training testosterone plays an important role in protein synthesis, influencing the production of strength and / or power during exercise. We studied in this work some aspects of the physics of sound and music as a tool for physics teaching. The theory of sound since it is generated by some stimulus to its uptake by the human body, in areas such as: frequency, intensity, tone and propagation. The literature of the subject research was combined with the study of free software that captures waves on a computer, using a microphone, and allows to analyze the waves and frequencies involved in the sound, being able to distinguish tones, frequencies and intensities. We have analyzed some instruments (guitar, harmonica and pitch), including voice, from the quantitative and qualitative point of view. Finally we analyze textbooks in their acoustic topics and try to understand how important these materials give to this topic in basic education. We suggest a teaching sequence that could be applied in a high school classroom

The study of antioxidant has a great interest to biochemistry and medicine, due to of used in the human body as inhibitor to free radical process, which can cause premature aging and degenerative diseases. Furthermore, antioxidant is widely used in food industry that i s used to prevent food deterioration, in fats and oils (autoxidation, known as rancidity). Thereby, the survey data labels of vegetable oils such as soybean one, corn one and sunflower one, it is very important, with this survey data label was possible to verify the antioxidants used on vegetable oils and describe their chemical structure, molecular formula, lethal dose and daily dose by review. Following this review, it was possible to create a website with in formation and description of antioxidants. This database has free access to the public, in order to help the population about these chemicals compounds, and help them to choose the more beneficial food to eat

With advances in health care, has been na increase of demand for material that could replace the functions of the human body parts, thus evolved biomedic prosthesis which today are responsible for the constant improvement of the quality of life. The Titanium alloys are widely used as implants due to its properties, like high mechanical resistance, biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, and the addition alloying elements like Zirconium, may improve some of those properties. Such properties are related to the microstructure and consequently to the type of processing performed. The purpose of this dissertation was to characterize the experimental alloy Ti15Zr after route of processsing and heat treatment in order to extend the knowledge about this alloy. The latter has been abtained by fusion of pure metals in a arc melting furnace with an inert argon atmosphere. The material has been homogenized in a tube furnace at 950ºC for 24h and cold worked by swaging, after that, bars with 10 mm of diameter were obtained by the process of rotary forging. The samples were solubilized at 900º C for 2 hours and quenched in water. After that, 4 samples were submitted to the aging, at 400º C, 450º C, 500º C and 550º C. The microstructure and phase analysis was done by optical microscopy and X-rays diffraction (XRD), the mechanical characterization was carried out by microhardness test and finally, evaluation of corrosion resistance of the alloy by electrochemical tests. The XRD and the optical microscopy made it possible to analyze that the heat treatment influenced the phase shifting from α to α', and probably affected the alloy hardness, at the first aged sample at 500º Chas been a sudden increase in the value of hardness, probably by appearance of omega phase, unwanted phase to the medical application duo to great fragility, and finally ...
