Este artigo apresenta informações sobre o meio físico obtidas por meio da compartimentação fisiográfica em uma imagem Landsat 7 ETM+, visando o planejamento territorial do Município de Cananéia, no litoral sul do estado de São Paulo. Os compartimentos fisiográficos foram identificados a partir de diferentes níveis hierárquicos de classificação por meio da análise dos elementos texturais de relevo e drenagem, posteriormente associados às informações referentes aos mapeamentos geológicos e geomorfológicos já existentes, aliados a trabalho de campo. O produto final, um mapa de Unidades Básicas de Compartimentação (UBCs), serviu para nortear considerações referentes aos processo de expansão urbana municipal. A metodologia utilizada mostrou-se com potencial de aplicação em outros estudos relacionados ao meio físico, sendo necessária apenas a adequação dos dados a serem trabalhados. Edson Detregiachi Filho busca, nesta obra, identificar e compreender as razões do altíssimo índice de evasão escolar nos cursos de educação tecnológica da rede pública, que alcança 50%, e contribuir para a formulação de políticas que possam melhorar esse cenário. O livro resulta de um trabalho de campo realizado pelo autor na Faculdade de Tecnologia de Garça, uma das mais importantes da rede de faculdades estaduais de tecnologia (Fatec). Por meio, principalmente, de questionários aplicados aos alunos e depoimentos da direção, o autor levanta as principais dificuldades que os estudantes encontram ao iniciar o curso, além de sugestões que facilitariam sua permanência na escola. Também verifica como o corpo diretor percebe o problema da evasão. A hipótese defendida é que, apesar da ideologia dominante instilar conceitos com o objetivo de forjar subjetividades apontando para a necessidade e a importância da educação profissional, os alunos se deparam com dificuldades de ordem estrutural do sistema, além das dificuldades históricas inerentes à educação profissional no país. Para o autor, o embate entre as condições subjetivas a que são conduzidos os alunos e as condições objetivas com as quais eles se defrontam, fruto das contradições do sistema social, é o principal gerador das reações que conduzem à evasão escolar.

Este livro foi inspirado nas experiências do diretor musical, ator e bonequeiro Paulo César Cardozo de Miranda nas áreas artísticas e pedagógicas, direcionadas a crianças, educadores e arte-educadores e relacionadas à contação de histórias, jogos, brincadeiras, teatro de bonecos, entre outras. Tais experiências suscitaram no autor inquietações referentes à educação, em especial no que tange às relações entre professor e aluno vistos como indivíduos preocupados com seu desenvolvimento pessoal e, especificamente, com a música. Ele focaliza questões que envolvem jogos e brincadeiras enquanto expressões musicais, a presença do lúdico na música e no ensino e, também, as implicações dessas atividades na formação de professores e músicos. Cardozo de Miranda propõe a compreensão dos jogos e brincadeiras não só como próprios da vida social, mas também como práticas pertinentes à Educação Musical, Educação e Estudos Sociais. Aqui, ele é movido inclusive pela constatação de que, apesar da obrigatoriedade do ensino da Música na educação básica, instituída por lei em 2008, há lacunas na pesquisa relacionada aos conhecimentos necessários para atender às demandas didáticas nessa área pedagógica. As reflexões do autor são apoiadas por trabalho de campo realizado com alunos de 10 e 11 anos do sexto ano de escola pública estadual da cidade de São Paulo. A pesquisa procurou levantar aspectos das realidades musicais das crianças, investigando principalmente a possível existência de repertórios de memória individual e coletiva

There has been a great advance in the pharmacognosy field, which has increased the use of medicinal plants by health professionals and practitioners of folk medicine. This systematic review explored the history and the present day application of phytotherapeutic medicines. We searched the databases Cochrane Library, Embase, Lilacs, PubMed, Scielo and a specialized bibliography. We concluded that there are many therapeutic potentialities in the use of phytotherapeutic medicines and medicinal plants. We also concluded that despite the increasing number of publications in the field each year, there is still a lack of reviews and meta-analyses that could promote a better integration of the knowledge produced. In addition, research about pharmacological interactions and multidisciplinary studies may promote a quicker and safer process from the workbench up to the clinical trials.

This work aims to identify the main motivations and difficulties faced by Brazilian companies to obtain ISO 9001 certification. The key quality management practices that provide support to this certification and the relationship with other types of systems, such as ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), were also investigated. A survey research was conducted with 191 companies. The main motivations for implementing ISO 9001 are the following: internal organization improvement, production efficiency increase, and brand reliability improvement. Employee resistance was the greatest challenge found during the implementation process. On the other hand, the main benefits identified were: quality processes improvement and increased employee awareness of quality. The results reveal that the most common quality programs and tools used are: 5S, brainstorming, and Ishikawa diagram, while the least common are SERVQUAL and QFD.

The pipelines are characterized by the great length and linearity, these enterprises are usually associated with the horizon of soil and decomposed rock and accidents in this system usually have high complexity. So this work proposes a study of geological and geotechnical characterization of approximately 40 km ² and a study of risk analysis along 18.3 km of gas pipeline GASBOL, in the municipalities of Ipeúna-SP and Itirapina-SP, in scale 1:25.000, besides correlation between studies. The method for geological and geotechnical characterization is based on physiographic integrated analysis technique, which is supported by literature research, observation and interpretation of satellite imagery (photointerpretation), correlation of products numerical model of ground, fieldwork. The method adopted for risk classification is based on preliminary analysis of hazards (APP) technique, which is identified the geological process, this feature is classified as the susceptibility of occurrence, and then classified as the possible consequence of the process, if this evolves. As a product of the research, we designed a map in 1:25,000 scale, containing a table of geological and geotechnical characteristics of the mapped drives, as well as sectorization risk in each section of the pipeline. Were mapped geological and geotechnical seven units in the study area, delimited in excerpts of which five are classified as high risk, totaling 1.1 km in length of 18.3 km total

This work presents a proposal for teaching financial mathematics to students from secondary school using mathematics investigation. This methodology is used for many researchers and this work follows the main ideas of Fonseca, Brunheira, and Ponte (1999) and Skovsmose (2000). With this methodology, we intend to develop activities that approximate real situations of daily life and we aim to help students to understand and make decisions about single commercial and finances negotiations. Such activities have open questions that provide students the opportunity to think about mathematical subjects like loans, financing and saving account. We show a short description of studies about the importance of financial education in secondary school and university. Our proposal is applied in Secondary School because we considering to use contents of this area in a very simple way, dealing with mathematical ideas in order to develop skills of critical analysis. We suggest a qualitative research with phenomenological approach, as a possibility analysis of collected data from this teaching proposal

Tourism is getting more and more importance in economic world, conquering new territories. Where there is substance economy with little occupational density. This process presents several local changes. The paper aims to analyze Chapada Diamantina region with its central point in Mucugê – BA. At beginning, the study has focused bibliographical review of works about tourism and their relation with the place. After that, geological characteristic and historical settlement of the place were analyzed. Then, fieldworks have done to data base, to survey impacts caused by the touristic process as well as interpretation of the relation occurred between tourism and landscape. At the end, the outcomes obtained from data analyzed became report, which presents proposal to improve the relation between tourism and the place.

The present study aims to establish the mapping units climate Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, with a more refined analysis in the study of extreme weather events to contribute to the adaptation of populations made vulnerable in the face of extreme weather events, and also as an aid local public policies, from a new perspective climate. As criteria of analysis, temperature, precipitation, altitude and use and occupation of land. For this we use as a work methodology broad literature review, fieldwork and use of geotechnology in the proposed mapping generation

With the implementation of new technologies on the world stage of communication, Internet access has become increasingly numerous. Being sought by this means all kinds of information, from knowledge to entertainment. This paper intends to report the experience in two communities of the Internet, particularly in the social network Orkut, entitled I Hate Mathematics and I Love Mathematics, whose members are students, teachers and people who want to express how they feel about mathematics. The goal is to understand what took the members of these communities to hate or love Mathematics, clarifying the nature of the network Orkut and its contribution to mathematics education. For the analysis of data from field work, we use the phenomenological approach. The procedures followed by such approach allowed us to build four open categories: Research and Background, revealing that the research activities allow students to develop strategies, develop creativity and shows that what is learned in classroom is not just an accumulation of knowledge; Teacher's Role shows that it is necessary that the teacher understands the meaning of being a teacher and worry about being a student; Acquisition Technique, it is necessary that students be able to understand what is done and how it is done, and Sense of What is Done, to do is not directly linked to comprehend. The interpretation of these categories helped us understand the investigated giving us source to analyze how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can help the teacher understand the student's relationship with Mathematics

The inadequate disposal of municipal waste is one of the biggest environmental problems. The lack of long public politics makes this problem a challenge to their administrators. Finding a place for the disposal of waste is an easy task and the present work looks forward to a better understanding about the concepts involved in order to choose favorable areas for the development of sanitary landfills, minimizing environmental impacts. In this line of thought several areas in Rio Claro`s region were evaluated according to the environmental terms. The areas which were classified as good or almost good will have a more elaborated study such as field works, evaluation and understanding of the concepts analyzed so that there aren’t any waste of money, work, social and environmental waste in the area. These areas were analyzed according to secondary data such as geological and pedological formation and primary studies such as the assumption of the reality as showed in the map will be made in order to acquire better results.
